Maybe our time is off by an hour, I don't know. I usually get up a little after 2 -330 or 4. You say you've been getting up eariler, that's good. What time? 7 - 9?
I used to keep everything! (7 years they say??) USED TO!... not no more. With emails and computer billing, statements and etc, there's a record for about everything.
With my own business I must keep receipts, but on a personal level i don't worry about banking and credit card statements because I have access to them through websites. BUT if I am getting paper statements and bills in the mail, I do file and keep them.
MANILLA ENVELOPES ARE THE KEY. You could fit one years worth of one catagory paperwork into one manilla envelope and it takes little-no space to store. In a year or two use the contents for fire starter to burn your personal information after a they get a couple years old. (RE-use manilla envelope)
Large payment reciepts... I keep those always. mortagage, Drs bills, car payments, insurances. Medical records. AND your benefit programs/promises. BUT the MANILLA envelope is the key again because I could empty out my file cabinet of all the junk every year and if i'm unsure I'll put that subject into that years labled manilla envelope and in a box somewhere.
I finished my monthly paperwork, so back on track again! I've also been eating a lot of vegetables and my chronic fatique is a lot less so I'm not as tired alllllllll dayyyyyy looooong.
That's not the same as you with taking care of such a big famly. It's normal for you to be very tired, I Think so anyway. Just rest when you can. And you said the medicine makes you tired too.
Gotta go drive a bus, cya later ๐ Have a great afternoon. And P.S. it's no worries to know we'll miss days and evenings sometimes and it feels good to kow there is nothing wrong... just tired. That is really good to know. ๐
@IsayUncle That paperwork plan sounds great. I have a binder with a paper protector for each person with vaccine records and important documents. I think you are right I don't need paperwork for most of the bills except the house. I also have student loans that are deferred (I just recertify to get my payment amount each year and its always $0). And food/medical/SSI, Jaxon's medical summaries from visits and surgeries... I have a stack of catalogs and magazines I keep in case we can't afford internet. And phone books. Product info. Credit card offers I need to rip up. Its just a lot. And Justin doesn't do paperwork.
Anyway, I made a lot of progress on it. Good job finishing your paperwork! That sounded like a big job! What kind of veggies do you eat mostly? I'm happy you are feeling better. I need to take vitamins. With my blood pressure being so low I think I'm probably anemic. And I stay inside in the winter so I need to take the vitamin d too.
I've been getting up at 4-5ish. I just wake up when Justin is getting ready lately. I try to sleep but I just wake up. Thanks for understanding that I've been tired in the evenings. I think it's a combination of not enough sleep, medication, vitamin deficiency maybe, and cutting down on caffeine. Some of those can be helped I think. I always appreciate your good morning messages. Hope the bus run goes well๐ Evening or weekend plans?
@Psalm139
Hey m. i just crashed and slept after eating some sandwices. just let loose for the night. ๐
good nite,
@IsayUncle Goodnight๐
@Psalm139
Good Morning,
I think you try to be very organized like me. (I think). That is a lot of paperwork. The manilla envelopes really helps pack and stack old information and unknown information that you think you might need one day. The nice part is you can label them with "Content" "Date" and any "Handwritten Reminder Notes". When you stuff them, you can get a lot of paperwork in them. When full, pack them in boxes, out of sight and out of mind but still have it for possible future inquirey's. It's a solid long term method (Many years) of preserving and storing records. (Note: You could also put several years of one catagory in one manilla envelope). When the information is important but you may only get one statement or reference to it per year. (Write the years on the envelope). It's a process.
This will keep your working paperwork organized and easy to manage yearly.
It sounds like you already have a pretty good process if you've gotten a lot done already and are almost done so congratulations on that! GOOD JOB!
Happy Saturday
I hope you get to sleep in this morning. WOW 4-5ish surprised me. That's plenty early.
What do you have going on today? I'm going to replace a tire on my car and try to service my tractor, oil change, grease etc.๐. I hope you have a real good day and if the weather is nice.
ttyl๐
@IsayUncle Thanks for the tips about the paperwork! It really helps! Putting dates on the envelopes is so smart. I have hanging files for most categories but I need to add dates.
I do try to be organized but I get overwhelmed (easily?). I'm not sure if its that I get overwhelmed easily or that I just have a lot going on and to manage. And sometimes I struggle with the stuff that should be easy. Like dishes. I just need to make that stuff a part of my routine so I can do it mindlessly. Isnt that kind of what you're trying to do?
I want to spend most of today cleaning today. It sounds like you have a good day planned, working on your vehicles outside. That should be a good break from your normal routine!
I'll check in later!
@Psalm139
I like what you said about getting overwhelmed easily or a lot on the mind. That is me too. As a matter of fact I've been trying to be focused and aware of when that is happening and slow my brain down to the task in front of me. IT IS so serious for me sometimes that the thinking of all these things physically tires me out so much that I won't do a simplre chore in front of me before needing some rest. ๐ P.S..... Vegetabes are helping me a lot staying focused too. (BTW.. I eat all vegetables, I buy a bunch and then figure out how to eat them before they spoil) I just made a stir fry with Broccoli, Green and jalapeno peppers, Lots of mushrooms, Carrots and Onions. Served over rice... YUM!
I did do some carrots and butternut squash in the airfryer like you suggested. OMG
I copied and pasted my routine plan. (Below) (Only 1 or 2 days set so far) My hours are strange because of my work schedule and it doesn't account for my sIde work. My goal IS ONLY FOR THE WEEKLY TASKS. (I will fit in shopping and cooking later. You will notice I plan by hours estimated use. this gives me flexibilty... I'll not fill every minute of every day just for my weekly tasks routine.
The only things I want to groove on right now are, "Paperwork" "Laundry" "Customer and work Correspondence" "Clean kitchen" and "Clean Floors" You'll notice i still have lots of free hours. That's because I'm only listing it as it becomes doable and a reality. Like Now... my paperwork should become a reality routine. A little bit at a time.

P.S. On the manilla envelopes. That's what forced me to come up with that idea..... When my filecabinets and hanging folders got overloaded and stuffed. I had 4 file cabinets and self employed at the time. They would just get filled up with old paperwork but I didn't want to throw a lot of it away and I didn't want to put it in a box, unable to find it later...
TA-DA labled and boxed envelopes = organization and a decluttered file cabinet. And that is enough of my ego blaring howclever I am. LOL. I do hope this idea helps. ๐
@IsayUncle You inspired me to write out my own schedule! The morning is the main time I need to work on, but also dinner clean up. How is your day going? I just got back from grocery shopping! Its cold out!
@Psalm139
Today was a nice here. Beautiful fall day, cold morning up to about 65+ daytime. Lots of colorful foliage on these country roads. Your routine plan looks real good. i'm glad to see the bible and yoga in there. So important to take care of ourselves..
I obligated myself again. the girl I helped move last week now has a house full of junk to get rid of and I told her I'd help her with that. She and her deceased boyfriend, I had become dear friends with. (Mostly her boyfriend who ran the hardware store in town) He OD'd several months ago or got a bad batch of fetonal. We were all trying to help him get off the pills but he was such a nice guy and running a local small town hardware store, he'd help everyone who came through the doors. He didn't know how to stop the pressures and the suffering. She had such a sad story too. they're about 40+ years old but in her high school years when she was the school queen (This is very disturbing) her boyfriend at the time hurt her very bad and she still has scars over most of her body. She stays medicated all day long too. (some prescribed and some not). Doing someting good is my small way of trying to balance the bad. I hope I don't get any side jobs this week and this is my last obligation until i get my stuff finished sorted. Next week.... tractor and truck repairs and empty her house. UGGGH-again! It'll be all good soon!
Good night. ๐ด
@Psalm139
Good Morning, I know you said you were cutting back but I hope you enjoy your coffee this morning and have a great day today before your rigourous week starts.๐
I'm off to clean out a house soon. Got to run into town first.
@IsayUncle I hope you're having a good day! Are you done helping your friend? Its sweet of you to help her. That's sad about her boyfriend/your friend....I think you don't leave much time for yourself though sometimes, huh? It sounds like a physically exhausting project.
Sorry for the late reply -I started to write to you earlier but got busy. Ttyl!
@Psalm139
I just got home and i'm worn out. Sounds like you had a busy day too. I hope it was a good day. What did you do?
@IsayUncle I slept until almost 8 and Justin was already up. He wanted to build that shelf in the shed and wanted me to do dishes. So after my coffee I started on the dishes and worked on those for almost an hour. He came home and said he stopped at an antique store and found a hutch I might like. So I went with him and we got that and a couple new pitchers. We brought that home and he wanted to go to another one. So we went to another. Rules watched the boys for us. Then after some coffee to warm up (it was cold) - Justin went to watch football and I did some Christmas shopping for the little boys online. That was when I sent you the last message, I think. It was a good day, but busy. I'm tired! I plan to paint my hutch. I really like the way my kitchen is looking. I hope you had a good day too! I bet you were tired after all you had planned!
@Psalm139
Good Morning ๐
Now that sounded like a wonderful and wholesome day. It was really nice to hear Justin wanted to do something fun with you and you guys went out without the kids and just had a good day together, and sounded like a nice evening too. ๐ That must've been a nice break for you. btw, Which one is Rules?
Hutches are great kitchen cabinets, I hope it fits and works for you after you paint it. Btw Which one is Rules?
My day was just chopped up and disconcerting but I did go to Harbour Freight and bought a small generator for my shop. Helping that girl is not going to be the humongous chore I feared because she doesn't care to leave the house a mess..... Drama.... I don't care, less work for me. YAY, and you are right, I take on too much. Going to refrain and stop that for a few months I think. But the day was ok with a couple bonuses, oh yea... I was next to an Aldis again, Portablla Mushrooms $.99 at my store for white mushrooms $2.69. I do miss being near an Aldis. I think I'm going to look up a kale and bean soup recipe.
I hope you have another good day ๐
@Psalm139
I didn't think about that. Thought maybe a nickname like.. Rylee Rules lol. Oh boy Oh boy on the packages coming, sounds like too much fun.๐. You'll get your shelf soon, maybe. What color with the hutch.... let me guess... hmmmmm, maybe green!๐
I not only have a hard time saying NO, but I also offer too much, which I'm going to try to stop doing. I'm sure its rooted with a childhood need for approval and surprisingly enough at my age now, there's still be some of that residue, but mostly I do like helping people.
My friends are mostly like real good aquaintences right now that could build into stong friendships later. I've never had many long term close friendships. Being married makes it harder too because of multible personalites intermingling with each other. Often, that's hard to maintain unless you're some kind of super couple with super friends. It a lot easier for me to socialize being single than when I was married. Friendships got corrupted, diluted and disappeared somehow.๐
I made my soup this afternoon and now got my helper cleaning out the bus. I'll try to get some laundry done. And do my Routine chore weekly reciepts.
I hope your day went well and you have a wonderful evening.๐
@IsayUncle Getting the packages is fun. I'm almost done other than the laptops. I'm hoping to get those on black Friday or cyber Monday. Did I tell you I ordered Halloween costumes too? Jax wanted to be Luigi so Justin will be Mario and I will be princess peach lol. Bentley will be Freddy fastest and Trey a shadow figure (in a full body black bodysuit that even covers his face and head). The girls are going to stay home and hand out candy this year.
We went to the eye doctor today and neither of the little boys need glasses. Jax told the doctor he was old because he had gray hair! I told him later that it isn't very nice to say that people are old and Bentley said "even if it is true" lol.
So the day went pretty well but I'm tired and my throat kinda hurts... Eye doctor again in the morning for the girls tomorrow! Goodnight!
@Psalm139
Good Morning, I woke late so short and sweet it is. I love the halloween plans (The girls were nice to do that) and it is so nice to hear when Justin is involved in a positve posture. I hadn't heard much of that before and it kind of feels good to know it's there amongst some of the uncertainty and turmoil.๐ Relly Nice!
Jax sounds like a real cracker jack! lol. I hope you Have another good day today and good luck with the girls appts. I woke with a sore throat, hope you didn't give it to me. haha.
Have you been taking your medicines on schedule?
Cya later!
@IsayUncle Sorry about your sore throat. You aren't sick, are you? Mine feels better this morning. Jax is quite the little personality. Lol. He says everything he thinks out loud! He told me I'm his favorite person last night as we were going to bed. Then in the next breath, he needed his elmo because he can't sleep without him. He's a sweetheart though.
I have been taking my medication like I'm supposed to. I even got a pill organizer like you told me. I got one with a case and individual compartments for each day split into morning and night. I even put iron and vitamin d in it, alternating days.
I think your plan to stop offering help so often is good. It just seems like you don't leave enough time for yourself. Of course if there are people you do want to have a stronger friendship with, those would be worth your time. Hopefully they offer the same to you.
It is hard to make friends, and I get what you are saying about it being easier when you are single. Justin's friends have always been nice but just a little too wild for me. Alcohol, drugs, jail, smoking, swearing. Just not my thing. I have always had problems with it regardless. Its just easier to not because of the attachment and emotional part for me.
Anyway, time for a shower I guess! Ready to get the last of the eye appointments done today.
Talk to you later๐
@Psalm139
Hey, I'm kinda shutting down. I had a bad day today and kind of the last straw kind of thing. I'm just going to unload ... sorry. After my morning run, the bus garage let me have some used tires for my dumptruck. i put 'em in the bus to bring to the dumptruck but my partner wasn't there with the tools to change the tire. (he knew I was coming) In the process one of the tires rolled in the bus and broke a window in the emergency door. (All of this was supposed be done on the quiet and was a big no-no). By 9am my day was screwed. Borrowed another bus to get home while they did repairs on mine and after a couple miles driving, all the safety alarms started blaring. Pulled over and none of the reset procedures were working so the alarms are still going off. I found a broken safety switch and finally rigged it to work. Lost a lot of time there. On my way home, my neighbors dog started to chase me and I always stop to scold him and tell him to go home! When I pulled away. I ran over something (not the dog). Kind of weired so I turned the bus around to see what it was. My socket set I was going to use for the tires hadd fallen down into the stairwell and when I opened the door to scold the dog, it fell into the street and then I smashed it by driving over it. I just couldn't believe it. Earlier in the morning a friend gave me about two poundof homemade Boursin cheese Spread, and I had bought special crackers for it. when I left my bus in the garage, I grabbed the cheese and put it in my coat pocket. I was just going to watch tv and eat cheese anfd crackers (JUST TO CHILL FOR A BIT!. MY POCKET was empty except foR a couple tools I had in it. The cheese fell out some where. I retraced all my steps when i did my afternoon run. no luck
Along with all that the house is in a mess and the dogs beddings are a disater (inside the house) and outside too. My sister calls and been travelling with my handicapped college age bed-wetter (Info not judgement๐) nephew. v (her grandson) and wants to stop by on thier way back home to CT. to visit a couple days. I can't say NO to him or them. I never finished helping my friend clean her house more, My partner is putting off side jobs until I can help him. My car brakes are grinding bad, I have to fix. i have an industrial pressure washer if I don't drain, could freeze and become useless without thousands of dollar to repair.
AND ALL I CAN DO IS NOTHING.... I CAN'T MOVE MY BODY TO MY BRAIN.
@IsayUncle @IsayUncle. Gosh I'm sorry. That sounds like one bad thing after another. No wonder you're overwhelmed. Would it be horrible if you let yourself rest and try again tomorrow? When is your sister wanting to come? Will everything be ok with your job?
Good Morning,
Jobs fine and a few days with the sis.
They messed up the goals and accomplishment access a little bit but I'm going to be posting there for a while.
Cya there ๐.
@Psalm139
Good Morning M, I hope your doing welll and if you wish to stop talking to me, I'm sorry about that. If this is the only space you want to talk on then you'll miss my other strugles and journeys.... and I'm sorry about that too. If you are not responding on purpose, then I'll leave you alone, If you are crashing and burning too, please let me know.
Stay in touch when you can. ๐
@IsayUncle I read your posts yesterday but it just felt like you wanted to have a larger conversation away from me. And that's fine. I didn't want to say anything to make you feel bad about it. But I just don't like those big group conversations. So idk. It's fine. You should do whatever you want. I hope you are feeling better.
@Psalm139
Well, Good Morning! I'm sorry for the confusion but I always look forward to our conversations, You could be part of all my conversations...... ALWAYS WELCOME! We could look at it like two houses. I didn't have to leave your house.... BUT I just had to get to my house so I can kick and scream. I do have more guests at my house but I'm always eager to have you visit too. I know it makes you a bit uncomfortable but maybe in little doses will be ok, AND A BIG PLUS is we always have your quiet house to talk at when we need to, We did a good job building this here too.
I know it was an abrupt redirection but that was my mind unable to process properly. It had nothing to do about getting away from you. Sorry it felt that way. I won't have time to post my stuff in both places so some of that will be done at my house so I can hopefully inspire others and get different points of view for me too. But that doesn't change our friendship at all... at least not for me.
I'm sorry if you felt bad about this, I really am. I hope you feel better now. I hope you have a good day.๐
I'm not really feeling better but will post about that later๐
@IsayUncle I'll respond later because I just keep crying when I think about anything. I'm sorry you are still struggling. I hope things get sorted out better soon.
@Psalm139
I'm Sorry. Did something bad happen at the house? Or is it just everything?๐
@IsayUncle I am upset about you and everything you said and I know you're right and I'm being dramatic and it shouldn't be a big deal but I guess it just triggers my feelings of rejection and abandonment and not being good enough. And I don't think you meant to hurt me at all. You're just doing what you need to do to take care of yourself. So don't feel bad at all. I don't want you to feel bad. I think we are similar in a lot of ways but this is the borderline part that just makes me feel everything too much and be too sensitive. I know it shouldn't be a big deal. I'll get over it.
@ Psalm139
I do understand and I was afraid of that. I liked your honesty, that was very good but there is no need to feel isolated. You're my friend, I hope you stay involved with all my endeavors, challenges and successes. I know you have a hard time interacting with other people but sometimes for a friend it's good to venture out of ones comfort zone knowing it's safe. Practice not letting those triggers think something is wrong with you Practice. remember, I'm a friend. don't pretend , Practice.
Don't say it shouldn't be a big deal..... it is a big deal.
I invited you to my thread because your opinion is very valuable to me. Quite the opposite of your mistaken supposition and imbedded fear of abandonment. You're my friend, Fairly new friends but hopefully trust will strengthen that friendship. (Remember if I'm not at your house, I'm probably at mine where you are welcome and protected) ๐
How did your day go today?
PS . Do you want to talk about, "everything I said"? Can I clarify anything for you. You were right about not trying to hurt you but is there anything else? I know you'll be ok but I want you to be better than ok. I'd like you to be relieved and upbeat again, when you can. ๐
@Psalm139
I barely finished my dishes but i did it.... but not a full kitchen clean. Better than nothing ๐
Good nite M, ๐ด
@IsayUncle Good job on your dishes. I will talk more about it if you want but my thought process probably won't make sense to you anyway. I hope you find some other people that are more stable and can help you more than I can.
@Psalm139
Good Morning, I'd like to talk a little more about this but right now, How are you doing today. And what plans are on the agenda?
@IsayUncle I'm ok. No big plans today. Just school. When is your sister coming?
@Psalm139
I'm sure you're exhausted so just doing the schooling is good. My sister is going to stop by this evening and we are going out to dinner Her and my nephew will get a motel for the evening because I couldn't get the house ready enough for guests. I feel bad about that but a short visit is good and then life goes on.
I hope you're having a good day. ๐
@IsayUncle I hope your sister was nice about that. Does she understand about your mental health struggles? Is this the same sister as last time?
@IsayUncle I also just want to say that you don't have to talk to me here if you would rather just go back to the other forums. I don't know if I will stick around if you do that but I don't want you to feel like you have to do anything. I wasn't trying to manipulate you. That's why I didn't say anything at first. I just don't like talking in big groups really and so if you have other people to talk to I will probably just go away eventually. It doesn't matter though. As long as you have people to talk to. I will be ok. I didn't talk to anyone until I started talking to my brother about a year ago and really it just makes things more difficult emotionally so maybe its better to just stay in my head.
@Psalm139
Good Morning, No heavy talk this morning, just friends waking up having some coffee.
It was good to see my Sis and Nephew. And yea it was the same sister. They went to a hotel last night. So that is done. YAY. I just have a busy day of everything and anything. clean, clean, clean, sort, sort, sort, fix, fix, fix.
What are you doing today?
@IsayUncle I'm glad that's over and you had a good dinner. I know you were pretty stressed about that.
How is your day going? I woke up late with a headache. I'm ok otherwise. Grocery shopping and cleaning today for me.
@Psalm139
I hope your headache goes away. do you suffer migranes? I don't but other people I know do. I'm just cleaning and then working on my brakes for the car.
I hope your headache goes away and you have a good day!
@IsayUncle No I don't have migranes. Could be from reducing my caffeine. I'm not sure. I'll take tylenol. I hope you have a good day too!
@Psalm139
My day went pretty good but it's not done yet. I got the laundry done and the kitchen clean. (Clothes not folded yet but the bulk of the laundry done). Pushing into the evening to finish my brakes.
How did your Saturday go?
Do you know how to cook brown rice good. It's not as pleasant as white rice. My brown rice always seems grainy and dense, Not soft and fluffy like white rice. Any suggestions?
@Psalm139
.... And i finished my brakes too. ๐. YAY! Btw, i agree with you from the other thread. More time to myself will help me out a lot too i think. Not about posting but about promising big projects. Nobody I know does a lot of that.... but some I know are very giving people.
@IsayUncle Sounds like you were super productive! I bet that feels awesome! I got my grocery shopping done and painted my new hutch. Rylee helped with both. What is the big project for tomorrow?
