@Psalm139 @IsayUncle
@Psalm139
My day is going pretty good. I scored on some dump truck tires for free... used but good ones.
I'm home now doing chores before my afternoon run. How is your day going?
I don't even know where to begin but I think I'll start a load of laundry and then start cleaning the kitchen. 2 of my dogg have been gone for two days. I hope they come back this afternoon.
You must be schooling right now.π
@IsayUncle Yep, sitting at the table with Treyton while he does his typing practice. I will work with him until he's done and then make lunch.
My day is going ok. Emotionally not great but I'm not in my room under the covers where I want to be.
Sorry about your dogsπ. I hope they come back soon!
I need to clean my kitchen too. And take a shower. After school.
@Psalm139
i know what you mean about the covers... me too. But alas, the laundry, I've gotten as far as procrastinating lol... starting now 123 go!
@IsayUncle
Dragging feet, Comfort eating... Ugggh, got one load of laundry started.
How did this morning go and what happened to the internet last night?
@IsayUncle Good job on getting your laundry going. It seems like it should be easy to keep up with things around the house, but it really isn't for me. I try to declutter but dishes and laundry and trash and cat litter and crumbs on the counters and table on floors are still there. It helps to know I'm not the only one that struggles with it.
The internet was just out last night. I think it's actually kind of peaceful without it. I didn't care.
Rylee asked to take a little break before history, so we are taking a longer lunch. Then we will do history and Makennah will do her math and English/writing with me.
@Psalm139
That is pretty amazing. The home schooling. π. And then everything else too = +
I actually kicked it into high gear and got the kitchen cleaned before I left for my bus run. Now I'll fold laundry and maybe start cleaning out the fridge. we are on fall break. A 4-day weekend. I should get everything caught up and finally get a routine planned. I'm sure of it! π
@Psalm139
Well, I am totally chilling, got the blues playing, doing chores, a few cold beers are going to go down good tonight... and my 2 dogs just showed up about 15 minutes ago... sleeping like babies.
I don't drink much but it's been feeling good the past couple of times when I'm not on a timetable, ahhhh! I think it's more about having some room to breath and be able to do it without worrying about something else. 4 days off is giving me room to breath. Time for some blues and clothes folding. π
Let me know how your evening is going if time allows.
@IsayUncle I'm happy for you that you are getting some time to catch up and get some rest. You have had so much going on, you deserve and need itπ. I don't think there's anything wrong with drinking but my dad was an alcoholic so I don't drink. I wish I could though. Not for the taste, but the feeling.
@IsayUncle Sorry I didn't have time to reply earlier. It's sweet of you to be careful about that. I didn't remember telling you my dad was an alcoholic. But I guess I have a tendency to overshare sometimes, lol. I'm feeling ok tonight. I spent time with Jax working in his preschool workbook. The hidden pictures are his favorite. I didn't clean the kitchen or do the dishes. Oops, lol.
Anyway, I know you are in bed by now because it's way past your bedtime. Goodnight π
@Psalm139
Good Morning. Wake up, Smell the coffee. Have an awesome morning.
@IsayUncle Good morning π. What are you up to today?βββ
@Psalm139
Good morning, How you feeling?
I'm doing pretty good... laundry and kithchen 100% done and it's still early in the day. Next is to clean out the fridge and then do my personal and business paperwork.
The weather sure is getting cooler but we are having some beautiful days with no rain. We are very dry but I still like no rain. The difference between a contractor and a farmer is how much rain they pray for. lol.
You don't take a fall break, home schooling do you?
@IsayUncle Sounds like you are having a great and very productive day! Good job! My day is ok. My oldest is being difficult. Her internet is off so she's mad. We are taking a lunch break and then I'll do writing with Trey and go grocery shopping.
And no, I've never done a fall break. But sometimes things come up and we take random days off here and there, so it all evens out.
@Psalm139
I'm sure you're getting tired of just hearing about my tasks and chores, but anyway.... Got my fridge cleaned out, cooked old foods into edible dishes, made some apple sauce with old apples. threw away some spoiled tomatoes and lettuce and a grapefruit along with a few dried up mandarien oranges.
I hate wasting food like that but this past week I just lived off of cold cut sandwiches knowing food was going bad. That's why I had to get the fridge cleaned out, to set it up for my routine which will involve more responsible eating. I'm suprised more vegetables didn't spoil. I'm going to make a throw together sausage/cabbage soup with lots of carrots, celey and onions to use that stuff up AND have some healthy meals. I got some fresh green beans with bacon already cooked so I'll adapt that into a spagetti sauce to use up the opened tomatoe sauce I have. (I'll do that tomorrow but clean the kitchen now)
So did everything work out finally without the internet. Did taking a break and going shopping work out better for you? (Like going shopping is taking a break....NOT! lol) But still accomplished.π
btw, what' up with your internet problems? / I'm really glad you're doing ok today. It seems the past incident is kind of in the background and fading away I hope. π
@IsayUncle I don't ever get tired of hearing about what you are doing! I think it's really cool that you can make applesauce. And I think everyone has to throw veggies away sometimes. How has your afternoon been?
I got groceries and did math with Makennah and school with Bentley. I'm taking a break now. The internet was off the other night but we had to turn off access for Makennah yesterday because she didn't get her school done. She got it done today, so it's back on.
@Psalm139
I think it's amazing how you school the kids! It sounds like you had a pretty good day so that is super cool. You got the shopping done and sorted the kids out! πππ. My day was great until I put the bus into the ditch and took out my mailbox. It took me 2+ hours to get it out of the ditch but no damage to the bus. I was just moving it to get to my car. I got a steep narrow (gravel) driveway and wasn't paying enough attention.
All's Well that End's Well. Whew!π
Good night. π΄
@IsayUncle Gosh, I'm glad you and the bus are ok. It did sound like your day was going pretty awesome until then. School does keep me pretty busy, but that's probably good. If I have too much time my mind goes crazy.
You are up kinda late tonight. I'm getting ready to go to bed soon too. Goodnight π
@Psalm139
Good Morning My Friend, How's things looking for you today?
Up late? LOL.. I was up late last night because I just got my bus out of the ditch.
Navagating my relationship with my new partner is going to be a little tricky, He's elderly and wants company disguised as mentorship. As you know, my time is planned with purpose (even if I don't do what I plan). He asked me to bring him a wrench this morning. He lives a half hour away, 1 hour driving time, probably 1.5 hours helping and talking time. that's 2.5 hours out of my plan which could easily shut my day down. AND what he is doing, I planned into my schedule for Monday so I feel like he is disrupting my schedule un-neccessarily. (I have faith, it's brand new for both of us and we will get it worked out)
Have a great day! π
@IsayUncle Good morning βββ. I didn't realize it took you that long to get the bus out of the ditch! Did you get enough sleep?
Ah that sounds like it will be a complicated relationship with your new partner. Maybe you can take the time you would have spent on Monday and put anything you aren't able to do today in that place in your schedule? What else do you have planned for today?
I'll be busy with school most of the day but I'll check in as I can. I hope your day goes well and you don't let this wasted time frustrate you. π
@Psalm139
Snap that whip, teach those young-uns. π. i know you're busy with them.
Thanks for your support. He must have felt my reluctance because he called this morning and said we could do that later. Good. π
Doing my paperwork and more cooking vegetables are my priorities for today. I get those done and I'll be real close to rebooting my routine schedule. π
I hope you have a great day and post when you can.
Enough Already with the emoticons. LOL
@IsayUncle How did your day go with the paperwork and vegetables? School went well and I'm ready for the weekend! I'm hoping to get a little decluttering done and get the kitchen clean this weekend but also rest. Check this out sometime if you have time (and want to) I think it might help you with your weight loss goals:
@Psalm139
Yay for the weekend! I'm glad schooling went good today. I bet the kids like the weekends too. It sounds like you have a good plan. thanks for the video, I watched a bit and it looks interesting. I'll definetly watch it. I just got home from my partners house and running errands, Overalll a good day. but time for bed so I'll talk to you tomorrow.
Good night.
@IsayUncle I thought you werent going to your partner's house today? I guess plans changed? I had an ok night, getting ready for bed now. Goodnight - and good morning β
@Psalm139
Hey there, Good morning.
Happy Saturday M, I hope you have a great morning and a relaxing day with a few chores peppered in. I went to my partners house in the evening which was not nearly as disruptive as in the morning or midday. I'm going back today because we have a job to look at and price. Hopefully, a real good job.... to level and gravel a road about 1.25 miles long. If we get it, it will be an amazing oppurtunity for me to learn how to disperse gravel out of a dump truck "evenly" while spreading it down the road.
I'm a little worried this two year partnership will be tough for me because I won't be as free as I need to be to achieve more personal endeavors on my property towards tourism. BUT... the equipment gives me a lot more oppurtunity to accomplish more on the property. Definetly a "Tit for Tat" arrangement.
So you're going to get some decluttering done and a little relaxing in. You deserve to relax and really enjoy some self-time this weekend. I wish you the best in those regards. Do you and Justin have any plans with the kids this weekend? I'm going to do my paperwork and see if I can watch your video too. Are you still doing your yoga? I'll be weighing myself pretty soon when I start that challenge.
Ttylπ
@IsayUncle
We don't have any fun plans this weekend. I know he wants to build a shelf in the shed for our camping stuff. I'll be happy if he does that. Then I can take the camping stuff out of the closet and arrange other things there. I will have to stand at the sink a while and do dishes too - boring lol. And clean the kitchen, but that part won't take that long.
I hope your partnership arrangement feels worth it to you. You could still accomplish a lot on your property even just working a couple of hours a week on it. Over a year that's over 100 hours. And it's cool that you will be able to learn how to do some new things.
Anyway, like you said I'm just hoping to get some rest. Don't feel obligated to watch that video for me. Just if you find it helpful. I don't want to add anything to your mental to do list or throw off your schedule.
Check in later if you have time, I'll be around π
@Psalm139
Hey, hey, That'll be cool to have some storage for the camping stuff. Won't be long befroe needing it again.
Sorry I written earlier and missed some good talking time. I just got back from errands and looking at a job.
@Psalm139
I did watch about half of the video it this morning. I thought it was interesting enough that I couldn't give 1/2 attention to watch it so i'll watch the rest later. i've just rested since i got back. I'm watcing Morbius on netflix right now.
i hope you are just zoning out so don't worry about replying, im just zoning out too. π almost π΄ lol.
@Psalm139
Good Morning, π ..... I hope you had an absolutely restful and free day yesterday.
@IsayUncle Good morning π. Yeah I'm sorry, I was totally out of it yesterday, especially in the evening. I'm glad you had a good day and thought the video was helpful. What are your plans today?
Justin is painting an end table for the entryway. It's basically his room because he smokes in there and so I don't want any of my or the kids' stuff in it. We joke that it's his man cave lol. It's a mess though, which I don't like.
I didn't get a lot done yesterday but a little and I'm going to try to work on the house for a couple of hours today.
Ttylπβββ
@Psalm139
Good to hear from ya. I was a bit worried but I also know how good it feels just to chill sometimes. We should come up with a code phrase like (Just Chillin, or After a While Crocodile) for when we aren't going to be on for a while because we hardly want to even look at the computer sometimes. LOl.
My big GOAL is to finish my paperwork. Bada Boom Bada Bang. When I finish that (about a months worth of receipts and account reviews), I will be at the front ndoor of my routine plan again. So that's kind of a biggie today and I should have had it done already with the 4 day weekend I had. I did do some sidework this week though. Just this morning I wrote up a job quote for $6000 to repair a guys rutted road, almost a mile long. He's getting some FEMA help so I had to make it official so he could submit it.
What do you like watching on you tube. I've been watching tree identification videos because I'm planning on cutting down some trees to clear more lots. I want to mark the trees before all the leaves fall off so I know what I have to sell to the sawmill PLUS I love learning about stuff like that.
Just like that calorie densirty stuff... very cool to understand more about that, than.... just....like duh....eat veggies - good for you. To understand it is much more convincing. π. What kind of stuff do you watch on youtube?
I'm gonna boogy for a bit. I have to fix my mailbox before paperwork. But you have a great day of chores and chilling if you can. BTW... smoking sucks, I've been clean for about 8 years now and do not miss it one bit. It's a bear to beat, took me many years of trying. Actually what got me on the winning side of things was a site pretty much like this one. It's called "BecomeanEx.org". It's sponsered by the Mayo Clinic. Smoking ain't bad compared to other addictions, but it still sucks a lot! (No pun intended) lol.
@IsayUncle How is your day going? Getting your paperwork going? I helped Justin empty out the shed so he can build his shelf. There is so much random stuff in there! He is watching the Bears game now.
I'm sorry for worrying you yesterday. I guess sometimes I don't feel like I can say anything good and I know certain things we can't talk about here and I don't want to worry you so it's better to be quiet sometimes.
On YouTube lately I like to watch cheaprvliving and dome life, but I'm trying to find a good gardening channel because I'd like to plant some flowers in front of our house next year. And maybe a few veggies eventually. It would give me something productive to do and get me outside more. I also watch various videos about cheap meal ideas/recipes/meal plans and homeschooling videos sometimes. It just depends what I'm focused on.
I'm trying to just be happy with my life and focus on where we are right now but I really like the idea of living in a van or RV and just traveling around and living really cheap and being outside. It seems like it would be a less stressful way to live. Idk. I know it isn't realistic right now.
@Psalm139
Yea, I think it would be pretty hard to RV with 5 kids and a husband. In England they would call that a Gypsy Caravan. Don't ever stop dreaming and learning about it though. These things have a way of turning into realities beyond our own plans and thoughts of possibilities. So, letβs make a future plan for you. How can we make this work in the near future. Call it dream planning; probably never to come to pass but maybe, just maybe a part of it will. How long before your first gets her license? Start planning for a small panel van for her to drive, tell her you all are going to change it into a gypsy mobile.... and NO she cannot have her own car... she must help turn this into the coolest gypsy mobile ever. OF course, she loves the idea! YAy!... Did I say anything about reality... So now we got that done and you got your first start to a Gypsy caravan started. Maybe just a few weekends a year but with the next child do the same thing. Now you have 2 gypsy vans and 1 travelling vehicle, just the right amount for 7 people to coexist on the road together. And now you work like a beaver putting all your RV smarts to the plan and there you go.
Though I joke, there's a few seeds in there to perhaps encourage you to follow your druthers because you'll need to fall back onto your own possibilities one day or another. So now, in the real world, do you like practice or play with any of those ideas you learn. you talk about gardening. Plants, flowers and vegetables would probably be tons of fun next year. Something I want to do is build a micro garden in the house. (I looked it up on You Tube)
You know, it's almost impossible to solve our emotional problems when other people are involved and keep us off balance and at the same time being crucial to our existence. I've lived my entire life with my head in the sand because I never understood conflict so I always walked the fence and always took the gray point of view instead of the black and white. I often felt like it was a cowardly position but my angst against aggression and my love of the possibilities never made me feel like a coward. I love quotes because it amazes me how someone a hundred or even a thousand years ago knows the same exact thing that took me 20 years to learn. I lost my family (Siblings and not offspring - i have no children) and this quote explains why. βA friend to all is a friend to none.β Aristotle. Anyway, I regress. The point is in the accuracy of the quote written about 2500 years ago and human nature hasnβt changed. We all want someone to take our side over someone elseβs. (Even family members)
Would you like to start talking about deeper subjects or do you feel safe with our gentler conversations. One deeper subject I will touch on is I think menβs emotions are governed by philosophies and grand ideas. That is a very general statement with a lot of room for interpretation. But the reason I bring it up is because if we got to talking about deeper subjects, I would tend to be very philosophical and I donβt know if you would like that.
AND NO, I havenβt started my paperwork yet, I watched TV after fixing my mailbox.
Iβm sorry if I bombarded you but as you suffer your hardships, remember life, all life and everyoneβs life is freaking amazing but we just havenβt figured out how to feel it every day but the truth isβ¦ You Are Amazing and Nothing Lessβ¦ Ever! π π π
@IsayUncle I don't think my oldest daughter would be up for a van like that, but maybe the younger one could be convinced. I don't really do anything except research and dream. I thought about massively decluttering, but that doesn't really make sense when we will be in a house for several years. I think part of what makes it appealing to me is that I would always have somewhere to be. When we were homeless I thought a lot about how stressful it is to just exist. Living the traditional way it is just so expensive. But living in a van, eating peanut butter toast, I could do it very cheaply. I just don't like the world very much sometimes.
You can get as philosophical as you like, though I probably won't always have an intelligent response. My brain focuses more on practical things. I think you are like that too though, with all your goal setting. And I don't mind your quotes at all. But I can be pretty pessimistic when I'm depressed.
How did your afternoon go? Any progress?
@Psalm139
Good morning, I was just goofing yesterday about the whole family gypsy thing. It is so much fun looking at the possibilities out there when it comes to camping and RV'ing. One day you'll get there and until then, it's a ton of fun researching and dreaming.
I did terrible yesterday, everything but my paperwork. I made a vegetable soup with sausage meatballs and made a mess in the kitchen.... it's still a mess this morning. I just lost all my energy yesterday. I was just in some weired and funky mood watching tv but not anything i cared about.
Did Justin make anymore progress on the shelf?
I'm starting today feeling pretty bad, behind and overwhelmed mentally. I'll be home today between bus runs so we'll talk later if you want. I know you'll be busy with schooling so I hope you have a good day,
@IsayUncle I have an eye doctor appointment for Trey this morning so we are up and getting ready for that. Then school. Then at 2 I have a med check appointment to get my prescriptions refilled.
I'm sorry you weren't feeling well last night. I get that way too often, so I know what you mean. I hope today goes smoothly and you get the things done that need to be done.
Maybe you could split that paperwork up into smaller pieces and do a week at a time four days this week (or something)?
Talk to you laterπ
@Psalm139
My plans changed drastically because I brought the bus in for a minor repair which means I had a loaner car which means I could run all my errands on thier gas and wear and tear; so that's what I did. I was even able to go to Aldis.
How did your apponments go?
I ran errands and shopping all day in my off time. Bought lots of veggies for a single guy. Not to be always complaining but now I have a triple digit mess to deal with... Clean mess from yesterday... cook veggies, make another mess.... do paperwork. I really blew it not staying focused this past weekend and now i do it or suffer all week.
Did you take off from schooling today? What did the doctor say about your extra medicine?
@IsayUncle My day didn't go as I thought either! When Trey and I went to check in at the appointment they found his appointment was on the 12th - Wednesday. So I'll be doing that again then. Mine is the same day as his so mine wasn't today either! I guess I need to pay more attention to the calendar! I felt pretty dumb lol. But whatever. Then I tried to mail something and the post office was closed. I guess it's Columbus day? And then I tried to call to report a change to DHS for our food assistance and the call was dropped. But I think I gave them enough info and it took me 20 minutes on hold to talk to someone so I didn't call back. In between all that I did math with Rylee, math and writing with Trey, history with the 3 big kids, math with Makennah, and reading eggs with Jax. I still need to do everything with Bentley. But I'm taking a break!
My kitchen is a mess too. The never ending kitchen chores...
@Psalm139
You have no idea how similar things went south for both us but we still got a lot done (you wth the schoolin, me with the errands)
i live in the middle of nowhere so planning a route is pretty significant, Right off the bat from my house, i couldn't find my wallet. thought i left it on the bus (Where I just came from and a half hour away) making it 1 hour out of my way to go get it and in the wrong direction. I get there and it's not there I panic, wonder and remember i had it the whole time in my coat pocket which I took off much earlier. Then I took the shortest route to the bigger towns I was going to, only to run into a closed road and having to backtrack another 45 minutes down unknown roads to a workaround back to the main road. I made it to the tire repair shop and they said they didn't know if they could get to my tire for a long time (Remember. my bus run starts at 2pm). I went and got tractor parts, shopping, came back, and tire was done.... made it home with minutes to spare before leaving for work.
So we both battled the odds. That is really a bummer about your appointments though, must've been super frustrating and having to do it all over again. You ok? You got the schooling in.
I'm cleaning my kitchen now.
@IsayUncle Sorry it's late. I read your message earlier but didn't have time to respond. I'm ok. It sounds like your day was even more frustrating than mine. But you got your kitchen clean! That's awesome π. Jax told me a riddle: "he doesn't like to go to bed and he has brown hair and brown eyes. Who am I?". Lol! Hmm could that be! I'll talk to you tomorrow. I hope your day goes a lot better than today and you enjoy your clean kitchen!
@Psalm139
Good morning, That was just way too cute with the riddle. LOL. I do feel a lot better this morning. Probably because I did finish some things yesterday which put me on a better track today. π
Ttyl, Hope you feel good this morning too and enoy your go-go juice.
P.S. Do you still have time to do your yoga with the schooling schedule?
@IsayUncle I'm glad you're feeling better today! I woke up early again, but that's okay. I'm trying to adjust my schedule earlier still. I haven't been doing yoga lately, but I want to get back into it. I could technically fit it in. I just got out of the habit and have been focusing on school.
I'm sorry I miss your night messages a lot. I think you go to bed around 8. Is that right? So 7 my time. I'm still pretty busy at that time. But I'll try to finish earlier.
Anyway, ttylπ
@Psalm139
Hey, with any new significant task our previous routines get scrambled a bit and that's why I asked about your yoga. Maybe with schooling leveling out, you could do it again if you wanted too. do you like doing it?
About our timing... π. Between 6 and 8 pm, I'm done. Now, sometimes you will see me give it the royal gung-ho till about 9 or so. but i do enjoy sharing with you and I look forward to your comments in the morning. with home schooling and everday family tasks your time is used up until your later bedtime. It kind of blows my mind how much you do with everone and how I have a hard time fending for myself mostly. and then you find time to talk to me too, thanks, that's awesomeπ
I'm air frying butternut squash string fries.... experimenting anyway.
I trimmed all the stalks off of the cauliflower this morning and made a soup with them this morning. I buy some amazing mushroom bullion and chicken bullion from the Asian market. Strong product flavored with minimal salt. Nothing like the salty bullions we have here. It made the soup!
@IsayUncle Good job with your air frying experimenting! Have you tried zucchini or yellow squash or potatoes or sweet potatoes? Those are my favorites! I'd love to make soup but one problem I have is not being able to cut onions. I can't stand to look at them!
I do want to get back into yoga and reading my Bible and baking. After our appointments this week we should have a break from that (appointment) stuff I hope. But then we have Halloween, 2 kids' bdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and then January 2 our oldest will turn 16. At least most of that is fun!
@Psalm139
How do you cut up and airfry squash, zuccini or sweet potatoes? Do you do different ways?
I'm already ready for all the holidays to be over with already. lol... and then you have birthdays, omg.
A bible verse a day can keep the blues away. It sounds like that would be the easiest to start again, (Time wise)... but everyone would love the baking. AND you need the yoga if you enjoy doing it.
I didn't do good this morning with the paperwork. Got a serious mental block getting things sorted and started. I might be up later than usual tonight as I try to bulldog my way through it.
@IsayUncle No, nothing like that. They just burn my eyes so much! Justin got his checks today. It's enough to pay off our house, but we will see what he decides to do.
@Psalm139
OMG. that's wonderful but It sounds like and has sounded like you have very little say in the matter. With that said, CONGRATULATIONS! You guys have a lot of changes coming and decisions to make so PLEASE take your time and let things flow. You guys obviously got a lot more than you anticipated if you can pay off your house. I hope he listens to you when it comes to the benefits and help you get from those programs for jax and other health benefits. Is he Happy, Are you Happy?.... if not how are you feeling. You could be happy and scared too.π
Yeah I don't know what will happen. I have to call all the places and of course I'm mostly concerned for Jaxon's medical coverage, but also for the kids. I do feel a mix of emotions. Without the assistance, I don't know what kind of budget he will give me for food and household stuff and things for the kids and I. I just don't know. I should be happy. He is. Oh and I guess he also inherited some farmland. But he won't get rent from that until his dad and uncle are gone. So I don't really understand it.
@Psalm139
I'm really sorry it will cause so much uncertainty. It all sounds very vague. Have you all talked about anything yet? Is he not concerned about jax's coverage or is he just waitng for the specifics from the people you have to talk to?
He just got the inheritence so it will definetly take several days (at least) for that to soak in (for both of you) and become a reality. Try not to get anxious about that. At the moment your family is far more secure than it was yesterday. Absorb that and try to let the emotions of everything slow down get back to a normal flow if you can.
This is probably one of those times you'd like to talk more privately.π. Did you find another listener? I think this is a big deal and I hope you know to you must slow your emotions down. Today your family is so much better off. Breath and absorb that for about a week if you can.
I'm really worried about you and the uncertantity of your situation, when I feel like like I should be happy and celebrative for you. ππ. Please let me know which direction the wind blows.
Anyway, Congratulations again and Good Morning. π
@IsayUncle Yeah, private conversation would be nice. I guess I just feel nervous because I don't know what's going on. I will call Medicaid today and see if we lose our coverage. I think its possible they don't consider resources for children. They also have another low cost program that the kids could qualify for if they do lose it. Justin and I probably will lose our coverage, but we will see. There is a community health center with a sliding scale based on income and family size so we cam start going there if we need to. The other assistance we probably will get back in a few montha . Oh and today is the real appointment day lol. Take 2, getting ready for the eye doctor now. How are you today??
@Psalm139
Well it's here, We knew it was coming.... your last big hurdle of the past couple months. You Got This! I hope everything works out to your advantage. (Kids will probably have a nice Christamas).
My neighbor and I just moved 2 dead bucks from the road in front of our houses. π’. Both got hit by a vehicle. Actually another bus driver had one of them run right into her bus this morning. that was one of them. They're rutting and in heat so acting a little crazy for awhile.
Back to the paperwork for me.... ugggh! Good luck with your appointments!
@IsayUncle Yep, just happy to get the uncertainty over with. I took Trey to the doctor and even had a real life conversation with a man who was also waiting for his appointments. Then I stopped at the post office to send some documentation I was putting off sending. And I made two phone calls that took almost two hours to complete - most waiting.
Ultimately it sounds like we will keep our medical coverage (crazy and amazing!) but Jax will lose his SSI which is tied to his medical coverage, so that's still up in the air. He has coverage right now and his eye appointment is next week, so I think I'll have until January to figure that out.
How is that paperwork going?
I'm hoping you had a real good evening. I finally got a good start on my paperwork. It won't take long now. π.
I've also been trying to ween myself off of breads and sandwiches and sandwich meats. I've been doing better but today was my first afternoon and evening with no breads or sandwiches. Cottage cheese, radishes and rice (Not all together) Snackies plus a Rice dish with mushrooms and jalpaneo peppers, So that's better.
G-N, ttytomorrow -
@IsayUncle Good job on your paperwork and cutting down on bread! Was it hard? I went to the doctor and had my appointment and got some cleaning done but not much else. I'm super tired right now from waking up earlier but Ill tell you more tomorrow if you want. Goodnightπ
@Psalm139
Good morning, Cutting out bread and fast sandwiches is very hard. But I do feel better, I can tell.
Yea, Tell me More. what did your Dr. say?
@IsayUncle I'm glad you are feeling better! I'm sure it will get easier as you get used to your new way of eating.
My doctor appointment went pretty well. It was a new doctor and he was nice. He increased my anxiety med a little and split it between two doses. So now I will have 7.5 mg twice a day instead of 10 mg once a day. My other medicine will stay the same.
My blood pressure was lower than normal and two nurses and the doctor checked it but the doctor said its probably because I'm a small person and not a big deal. They got it to read a little higher with a smaller cuff.
I also told him sometimes food gets stuck in my throat (long time issue, happens to Rylee too), so they are going to a test (endoscopy, I think). And he said since I'm 40 now I need to get my first mammogram. So that will be fun, lol.
Last night I was so tired - Justin went to do laundry and at 9 I was getting Jax and I ready for bed and I had totally forgotten he wasn't home and then I forgot to tape in Jaxon's catheter but thankfully he reminded me!
Today is grocery shopping and school and hopefully some cleaning. What do you have going on?π
@Psalm139
Sooo..... what's up besides schooling? How are you feeling today! Did the Dr. give you extra medicine?
I'm feeling pretty good. I think I should be able to finish up all my paperwork today. Plus I want to make a salad wity lettuce, kale, onionsπ’, radishes and green peppers.ππͺ
@IsayUncle Looks like we were typing at the same time again. I'm feeling tired still but ok. Nervous about the tests. But it's smart to have things like that done.
Good luck finishing your paperwork! Maybe you could do that weekly on a certain day so you won't have so much after this?
@Psalm139
I bet you were absolutely exhausted. (Been through a lot!) Sometimes we just have days like that and I'm glad everything worked out ok π.
Yea, I'm talking to you... LOL
@Psalm139
Good Morning. . I hope all is well and you have a great day!
@IsayUncleGood morning! Its 5:30 and your last message was 4 hours ago! I was sorting papers last night. There are so many. I never know what to keep. What do you keep vs throw away? I am keeping all of Jaxons 's appointment summaries and SSI paperwork and I have vaccination records and all the obvious stuff, but utility bills I feel like I shouldn't need. Idk. Its just a lot.
I will get a pill box lol. I am waiting for the new dose to be delivered. I have been so tired and out of it. I forgot to eat lunch yesterday. I realized at 5 pm I hadn't eaten since 7 lol. I think its partly because I've been trying to drink less coffee. And I keep waking up super early too.
I have to call and get those appointments set up today. I forgot to turn my ringer back on so I missed a call from them yesterday.
Do you have plans today? Sorry I've been forgetting to get on at night sometimes. I will adjust to my routine and do better. I've been going to bed by 9:30 now. But I probably need to move it up more since I've been waking up so early.
