Trust

When we allow ourselves to trust, it makes sense that we are allowing ourselves to be at least a little vulnerable on some level.  We "give" trust and sometimes, for me,  this has meant committing to a certain expectation.  But something shifted about my definition of trust expanded after studying the section of the course focused on Collaborating/Social Skills.  I'd not previously recognize how trust actually empowers us to build more in community with others.  Not trusting can lead us to refuse bigger opportunities to participate in positive change.

How have you grown stronger by leaning on another person (or people)?

@zealousRose5745 That’s a really insightful observation! It’s true that trusting others often requires a degree of vulnerability, which can be incredibly scary!

To answer your question, I actually struggle with trusting people and can’t remember the last time I did. But, this relates back to your observation about vulnerability; it’s needed to create trust. I suppose my question is: how do you allow yourself to be vulnerable? 😊

I would say i have for sure grown by leaning on other people. The mindset that we have to struggle alone can be a very daunting one, at the end of the day we are such social beings. Getting advice and support from peers on how to deal with things is always a great opportunity for learning

Being able to trust someone deeply has allowed me to also trust the world and myself more. It’s been a difficult journey, but it’s worth it. 💜

as social players  we have to lean on others time and again be in profession, relationships or any area of life . Many a times i have been in some hard situations where some complete stranger offered or i had to reach out to to ask for help and only on trust and all these have been very rewarding and enriching experiences which taught me much lessons about humanity and value of trust
