Nightfrost's Hobby Journal

Nightfrost September 16th, 2022

Some time ago I started to fall in love with making fan works. I tried to make them cute and it was nice to see these lovely youngsters coming into being on the paper. What I liked most to draw was their eyes, which would make them look more vivid and lively.💙💙💙

Then I think I can draw something else besides fan works.✨✨✨

I am not exactly a photography lover, but I feel quite enthusiastic about the creatures. At present, I am really into moths. People often hold the opinion that moths are not as beautiful as butterflies, and even seem annoying. I want to show they are also worth loving.💚💚💚

I may share photos of other things later.🌟🌟🌟

(I admit that my device isn't very satisfying and it often produce photos that a little fuzzy.)😅😅😅

A fluffy head indeed!...

Have you ever thought of going into entomology? Or are you already knowledgeable? I have a feeling it's the latter... 👌

@slowdecline48

Thank you. But I am not that knowledgeable, and fortunately there is often people online or websites to turn to. Entomology seems interesting, although I haven't really started to study it.

I drew a moth.

It's not clear enough. I hope you can see it.

Thank you. It's a moth, and it's so nice to see its transparent wings.

You are multitalented, clearly. That can be a curse as much as a gift...the more things one is good at, the harder it is for one to focus on any one creative medium long enough to achieve greatness (or at least a high level of skill). I've had that problem for a while now. Anyway, this is great...keep the thread going, man! The bug photography is oddly fascinating. What kind of camera do you use?

@slowdecline48

I just use my phone. Some of my schoolmates who also like bugs use really high-qualified cameras but they are too expensive for me.

Mocis undata, it was near my bed and I accidentally scared it away. When I found it again, it was lying dead on the floor close to the door, with its abdomen torn. This picture was taken when it was still alive.

Poor moth...oh well. At least you got a good photo of it before its demise.
