What are your favorite video games and why?
Hello everybody!
My name is Andrew and I am a listener here on 7 Cups of Tea. I just found this forum section and thought it would be a great opportunity to start to get involved in conversation with other gamers.
So my question to you is: what are your favorite video games and why are they your favorite? They can be for any system, including the system in your response would be even more awesome! I personally game on my PS3 and my recently bought PS4.
Here is a list of some of the games I like to play:
Grand Theft Auto V - Though this game has violent aspects to it, I really love the online play. The constant competition is something that keeps me busy and the race for money and power keeps me intrigued. I really love the immense amount of customization and immersement that the game allows because I can truly enjoy role playing in that whole world. I recently started playing on PS4 which opened it up to so much more and I really do enjoy it.
Battlefield 3 - While this may be a bit outdated with the releases of Battlefield 4 and Battlefield 1, I still really love this game. I still play on the PS3 so the servers are not always full but the maps and the gameplay are really fun. I love the teamwork that is in Battlefield as a whole and the actual tactic used as opposed to the wild play of other games like Call of Duty.
Fallout 4 - I have not actually played this game a ton yet but I enjoy what I've done so far. I played a bit with a friend on his system and liked the gameplay so I bought it when I got my PS4. I tried it with some of the mods but I am going to stick to normal, vanilla gameplay for now to just see how the game goes.
Counter Strike: Global Offensive - I actually play this game on PC but I don't have a great one so I don't get to play often. I find the playerbase hilarious and I think it is just a fun fps game.
Little Big Planet 2- This is the final one on the list, I have this game for PS3 and I have to say, I really enjoy playing the custom maps people do. They tend to put a lot of work and humor into it which just makes it a fun game to play in my spare time.
I am excited to hear from you all about your favorites!
~ Andrew
My favorite games are halo, call of duty, devil may cry,god of war, all the main uncharted games, the last of us,killing floor 2, Dead space, every resident evil especially seven, sekiro, dark souls, bloodborne, spider Man PS4, and a lot of others I really love games
I was really impressed by VR games. You cen check out this review and maybe you'll decide to try those out too. Of course it isn't that cheap but sony managed to cut the cost of all the gear to the lowes possible. So PS VR is pretty affordable compared to VR on a PC.
my favourites Elder Scrolls Online this one is exceptionally immersive with all its lore audio dialogue from the quests done and that the npcs actually have lil phrases theyd say as you either passed them or at random if a trading npc been on this game 2 years , Runescape started this game back in college although currently very inactive atm i still love the game just not as heavily invested, Sims4 i started on console for this sims2 pets even got sims for the DS too ,, sims4 is immersive too can do so much family gameplay magical even play about and create different stories using each available pack, riders of icarus , Wizard101 ,
Well, my favourite video game is Overwatch. I've never played it but I love the graphics, design, the whole story. I love how every character has their part to play somehow. I love the memes that come from the game and the crazy edits I see around the internet. It just seems so fun and I honestly can't wait to play it :D
Recently, I've been playing a lot of Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom. It has beautiful art and the music is calming. I like the variety of gameplay options it has too- you have individual, 3rd person combat, team battles, and a kingdom builder. It provides you with a lot of freedom- you can do main quest, side quests, or go around and do battles to get loot. Travel is easy, the scenery is beautiful, fantasy art, and battles scale with you. It's a Japanese RPG and doesn't use turn-based combat.
Additionally, I've also been playing some Minecraft. It's also a pretty simple game with relaxing music, but it's so open-ended. I've been working on teaching myself Redstone, and it works the problem-solving and logic part of my brain. I think most people know what Minecraft is, so I won't go into too much detail.
The entire Legend of Zelda series will always have a special place in my heart. Each game is both different enough to keep my attention and similar enough to be like comfort food. Breath of the Wild on switch is AMAZING and if I could forget any game just to experience it for the first time again, it'd be that.
It's been too long since I've played Destiny 2, but I love it because it's the first game my partner and I played together (other than party games) I'm not very good, but it was always so much fun.
Subnautica, even though I never I played it, but back when I was at one of my lowest mental health points, I watched a lot of lets plays of it on YouTube. The sound effects and music just make me feel so peaceful.
Night in the wood because I love the humour of Mae, the character you play. She is a young bisexual adult who dropped out of college and comes back to her hometown. I love that the drawings are very soft and cartoon-ish, almost childish, and that that its main colors are purple and deep blue. The gameplay is very easy to master even if you never played video games and music is also nice.
Kind Words allows you to share short letters anonymously with strangers to create a supportive community while listening to my favorite music genre : relaxing chill hop.
I also would like to mention Gris, Celeste and Child of Light because they are very sweet and deal with anxiety, PTSD and depression in a very smart way.
Of course I have to talk about Animal Crossing because it is really peaceful and helps me having a routine, I love its soft music, the sound of wind, waves and grass when your walk on it. I love that you can send letters to your friends to keep on touch. It is a nice way to tell someone you care about them without spending 3h on the phone haha
@Celty
I've been meaning to play Night in the Woods for a long time now. I finally have it because of the itch.io bundle but have yet to play it. Super excited.
Kind Words is really great; it's wholesome and heartwarming.
You've reminded me that I never finished Child of Light! I got up to the last battle but wasn't ready for it to end. I should go back and finish it.
I don't have a switch so I haven't been about to play ACNH but I've been playing ACPC and it's nice. I wish we could send letters to friends
I'd say that Rainbow Six Siege is my favourite game but unfortunately because of work I can't allocate much time on it. But instead of it, I play various games of luck on bandar ceme. It doesn't take much time but it gives enough emotions.
Classic strategy games like Dune, command and conquer, red allert...
Because after winning I never anihilated my computer opponents, I let them thrive in their territory so I woukd never be alone...
Sega Rally which is now a golden game obsolete...
Virtua Fighters which is now a great game obsolete...
@TheLastSoulBender
Sega Rally because it was so realistic...
Virrua Fighters for the characters and unlike stupid Sony Tekken, Sega Virtua Fighters did not have punch bursts so that interferes with your martial art fights...
Proof that the little guys (Sega) are better tgan the big sharks (Sony) even if they were engulfed by them...
I shall always miss my Sega games so much better tgan Sony games...

Doom, Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy. Those are just games you can play over & over & still be fun.
