Self care - "Today, I will ___"
One change I need to make is to take better care of myself. Physically, emotionally and mentally.
So today I will begin holding myself accountable for that. One thing each day that I will do. For me.
Today I will
Try to get one or two things done
Try to focus
Try to remember that I am not the sum of their words and actions
Today I will
Try to focus
Try not to let the stupidity of my workplace infect my thoughts
Finish the spreadsheet for the attorney
Work on the charity proposal
Today I will
Finish the things I started yesterday
Complete several other small tasks
Eat something before 3:00 pm
Make the phone call I've been putting off.

Very good question! Thank you for asking it. It's given me a lot to think about.
Yes it's helping me make changes. Nothing really significant so far but I haven't been doing this long enough yet. They say it takes at least 30 days to make a habit or break one. So if I can get in the habit of making a short list each day and holding myself accountable to it I think that will be very good.
Positives... It makes me think. I'm eating something before bedtime. Getting back to the four quadrants of priorities and away from bouncing around aimlessly. Feeling not quite so overwhelmed. I'm getting things done little by little and cutting myself some more slack when I need a break for a bit. All of which is helping me with depression.
Negatives.... It makes me think. Sometimes too much and I get in a rut, can't focus and end up spending too much time accomplishing nothing. That adds to feeling guilty and overwhelmed. I'm seeing just how much my life is run by "have to" and how little by "want to" and don't feel able to change that yet.
I do think that as it goes on, it's going to change. More positive, more "want to" less "have to" and no reminders to take care of myself.

I’ve been overthinking a lot so today I will silence my thoughts and keep a clear mind. To help, I will practice my meditation skills.

Not let myself be browbeaten by someone that knows nothing. I will be heard.
Finish a few small tasks I've neglected
Work on another larger job and not berate myself if it's left unfinished
Prioritize what I need over what another might need. I will not enable.
Today I will
Since yesterday went awry, I will do yesterday, today. I did some of today, yesterday.
I will not beat myself up with thoughts that time is short. There is no great hurry.
