🍁 This past week was well... Last weekend was nice, sunny & mild, so I started off the day of course getting up for my early morning Zumba class, then spent some time afterwards getting up all of my Christmas lights inside & out.... (So the only thing left to do is the Tree).... But it was nice to get all of that done & out of the way. Then I was able to get outdoors for a good walk with the Furbaby... Afterwards, It was a nice quiet evening in with some good movies... Sunday it was still nice & mild, so we got out for a few errands & to tackle more items needed before Thanksgiving.

🌾 As the week started off on Monday, I got back on track & back to my usual goals of Group Fitness classes, workouts/activities, meal-planning/tracking, & kept up with my appointments (and stayed on top of my hydration goals again! yay me).....  However, the weather here for whatever reason has turned BRUTALLY Colder!! 🥶..... So time to turn on the Heat, then lots of "indoor" time spent cuddled up in front of the Fire, with the Christmas lights.... And I even watched a few good Christmas movies this week here & there which puts me in good spirits.... Since only the Christmas Tree is left to put up, I will squeeze that in this weekend, and decorate it over the course of the week ahead to be done in time for Thanksgiving.

🍂 This weekend ahead intentions are of course to get up for my early morning Saturday Zumba class... And then there will be the start of Many various Holiday Events, Festivals, & Tree lightings going on around the different areas. So even though it's still supposed to be pretty cold, intentions are to hopefully get out & about to enjoy some of that.... Then Sunday we will finish getting some last minute items needed for Thanksgiving dinner. We had initially intended to stay home for Thanksgiving & I would do all the cooking, however, since some family drama has seemed to simmer down, we've been invited to share a small gathering for that day. So I will still cook some of the things I bought & bring it along to add-in. I can save & freeze the rest of What I don't use.... (Then of course there's squeezing in that Christmas tree)~ lol 🎄

Regarding the Christmas movies.....Can I ask what your favorite Christmas movie is?  There are so many good ones out there....I tend to like the older ones.....My favorite is "White Christmas".......followed closely by Laurel and Hardy's "March of the Wooden Soldiers", which is hard to find now a days, even with all the streaming services out there....

Honestly I like so many! But my MOST favorite is “The Christmas Carol”!

I have seen just about EVERY version.. TV, theatre, Animated etc..etc.. My most favorite versions though are “Disneys Christmas Carol 2009 animated version” with Jim Carey. They really brought that one to life and it was very well acted!

But also, runner up version would be with Alastair Sim’s 1951 version. (Little bit of classic old school acting there). I could watch them over & over again..

(and just to put a little bit of “giggle & tradition” in my Holiday, my son & I love to still watch “Elf” & “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”)~

Hello Ocean!!!

Of course, I'd love to invite you for Thanksgiving dinner 💗

My internet connection is really terrible these days. I can enter the website but I can't do anything because internet loading is so long that UI are scattered. Unfortunately, 7Cups app is not available in my country. I am joining internship program. Now I am doing weekly assignment at someone's home. I am also anxious about managing to complete the program.

Sorry for sharing negative...........

Pls give me Hugs......

PS. I don't know if I can read your reply, but I know you will give me Hugs. 💗

Hi, Ocean,

I'm glad to hear things are back to normal for you, but sorry to hear about the drama trickle-down.  I hope it smooths over soon.

Hey Everyone~ Happy weekend ahead~ How are you doing today?... How was your week?  The week had a big bump.  I'm in the early process of looking for another job.

🍗This is our "4th" Check-in for the Month.... What are your plans or intentions this weekend & also as we get ready to move into the Last week of the Month?... How will you spend your time or navigate the Thanksgiving Holiday ahead?.... What are some things that you'd like to dowork on; or get accomplished for yourself before the month ends

This weekend I'm relaxing and starting to work on my final project for school. Plus I want to do some basic chores.

🌾As we get ready to move into the Week of Thanksgiving, let's reflect in a healthy manner on the following questions: .... No matter How Big or How small, WHAT are you MOST Thankful & Grateful for "Today"?!.... WHAT are you MOST Thankful & Grateful for in this past "Month"?... & WHAT are you MOST Thankful & Grateful for in this past "YEAR"?!  I'm most grateful for my cat.  She is my family.  In the past month, I'm happiest for surviving the crazy place where I work.  In the past year I think I'm happiest for surviving with my cat and moving forward with our lives.

🌽JUST FOR FUN:.. YOU are hosting Thanksgiving Dinner this year.... "WHO" is "ONE" person (Past or Present), that you'd Love to invite to join you?!  God

🍁What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?.... How were you able to work through your challenges?!  There is too much  danger where I work.  That's why I've decided to start to look for another job.  There is a creepy, dangerous guy who comes in to the library, and we have a security guard who doesn't care.  The creepy guy came up to a woman with a small girl at our circulation desk and asked her for money.  Then he blocked the front door when she was leaving.  Our security guard was no where in sight.  The he followed that woman with her little girl to her car.  Still no security guard in sight.  I ran out the front door to see around the corner of the building to make sure they were ok.  The creep stopped about half way to her car.  She got away cleanly.  I was so upset.  After my boss came back from lunch, I went in to talk to him about it and cried.  I ended up telling him that I don't know how long I can last there.  He is a good man, and completely understood.  He said that if I thought the woman and her child were in danger, I did the right thing.  He said he would have done the same thing.  I thought about it and decided to contact Human Resources.  I was told by an HR person to call her.  So, I'll call Monday morning.  I couldn't call her on Friday while I was on shift.    So, I'm working on it.

Hi there Tree ~ Thank you as always for the sweet words and kindness 🙂❤️.

——-

Oh no Tree! So sorry to hear about the big bump & that you’re looking for another job! I can certainly understand why after reading over the situation! That is definitely an uncomfortable position to be in and surely not something you should have to deal with. I hope that you tell HR exactly everything in detail. Especially about the security guard who obviously wasn’t doing their job. And I hope things get better for you there or that you can find equivalent work that better suits you if needed to go that route!

Im glad to hear for you that you are relaxing this weekend & making time to work on your project. Plus I know how nice it is having time as well just to do the simple chores we need to do. For me it personally helps me to feel accomplished.

Pets are definitely something to be thankful for. And yes they are absolutely family!!… And finding your job, and being able to move forward to a better situation are definitely things to be thankful & grateful for today & always!

Wouldn’t that be the greatest & most ultimate experience to invite God to sit & share a meal with us! 😀 ( I’m sure id personally talk his ear off)!

Thank you for sharing your week with us Tree. And please keep us updated on how everything goes with HR and to also simply let us know how you are doing! We are here to support you.

This is our "4th" Check-in for the Month.... What are your plans or intentions this weekend & also as we get ready to move into the Last week of the Month?... How will you spend your time or navigate the Thanksgiving Holiday ahead?.... What are some things that you'd like to do; work on; or get accomplished for yourself before the month ends? I worked today (Saturday) then got the weekly grocery like every Saturday after work, I did some laundry and worked on my CPT class....Sunday we are going to a thing called "The Harry Potter Experience".....Something my girlfriend picked out that is near the hotel where I will be staying for my work training on Mon, Tues, and Wed...a thing we probably wouldn't go to if I wasn't going out for training since it is a 3 hour drive....not sure what the Harry Potter experience entails, I'll fill you all in later this week..but we are both Potter heads and excited to go.....for the Holiday week ahead...as I mentioned, I'll be training Mon to Wed, I will work Thanksgiving day....no plans afterward as my son will have the meal at his sisters since I am working.....everything will be already over when I get home, and that is fine with me...I know this sounds bad, but I am happy not participating....I am off Friday thru the next Tuesday....next weekend on Saturday my son has a Holiday 6v6 indoor soccer tournament....he put together a team with a handful of friends that I will be taking him to so that day will be a wash..another hour and some change to the venue...he likes to play in other states for some reason lol....but its fun to watch the boys play....as for what I'd like to accomplish before the month ends....I've not really thought about it....

🌾As we get ready to move into the Week of Thanksgiving, let's reflect in a healthy manner on the following questions: .... No matter How Big or How small, WHAT are you MOST Thankful & Grateful for "Today"?!....I'm most grateful "today" for the fact that I have a basically easy week at work next week being away at training most of the week....It puts me in a good head space going into my days off.... WHAT are you MOST Thankful & Grateful for in this past "Month"?... I'm grateful that things that have happened in the past that made me question my universe and ask things like "why is this happening", are, this month for some reason, starting to make sense in life...I'm also grateful that some of the things I've put into motion to make life changes, even though there have been some hiccups, are slowly starting to fall into place WHAT are you MOST Thankful & Grateful for in this past "YEAR"?! This past year I'm grateful that I have had the courage to look inside of me....notice shortcomings and what needs changing and put a plan into place to start making some of those changes....its been slow, there have been some miserable hard times, but its slowly coming around....

🌽JUST FOR FUN:.. YOU are hosting Thanksgiving Dinner this year.... "WHO" is "ONE" person (Past or Present), that you'd Love to invite to join you?! My mom....she passed away in an accident in 2001....when she died, the family kinda fell apart after the grieving ended......we haven't had a "proper" family holiday since if you know I mean....

Hey there Cycling 🚴 ~

I would love to hear more about your Harry Potter experience as well.. My Adult son & mother are both fans of the Potter! But it’s great to hear that you are excited to go! I hope you find enjoyment in the experience. Please keep us updated on it.

It sounds like you will have a nice deserved few days off after your training session is complete. Hopefully just enough time to rest up for your following weekend ahead with your son & his tournament! I suppose at that age when you’re young, it’s usually an exciting experience to get to travel for things like that. I used to love traveling & competing in my highschool events & competitions. Now the only time I like traveling is if there is rest & relaxation at the end of it waiting for me at the beach! lol ….. But Hopefully the overall experience won’t be too bothersome for you!

It certainly sounds like by your responses that you have much to be grateful for. And these are things that you obviously thought long and hard about & really took the time to look within yourself about?! It’s great that you have made such wonderful revelations for yourself & that (despite any hiccups, that we certainly all at some point have), that you are finding that things are making sense & coming together for you! That’s wonderful.

Im so sorry to hear about your mom. Truly I am…. Grief is not an easy road to navigate. And when those Matriarchs & Patriarchs go on, things are never quite the same without them. It’s sad to think that it should bring family’s closer together, but instead, can make things worse. My own have seemed to lean that way unfortunately, So I can understand what you are saying in that things are never quite the same.

But I hope for you that you find enjoyment in a not too busy work week ahead, your Potter experience & your time off afterwards! Sounds like a nice easy week for you. And those are best.

But you take care & thank you for checking in to share with us this week. And as always, please continue to keep us updated on things!

@PoliteOcean Sunday I shaved. It was an ordeal. Tuesday I went to the library but I brought the wrong journal because I was stressed about Stuart. I've been buying supplements from brands I've never used before so I don't know if they're effective. Wednesday I worked on my quotation journal. Thursday Leslie threw a package I ordered at me.  She is so rude. I can't put Argan oil on my arms during winter because I wear long sleeves 24/7.  I went on 3 walks this week. I have reached over the 50 word mark on my quotation journal. Saturday morning Stuart got stuck on the toilet and Sifa had to help him. Stuart has been listening to the TV in his bedroom right when I want to do my beauty routine. It's very aggravating. 😡😡😡  He doesn't know I'm trying to do my beauty routine but he wouldn't care anyways. I got huge white heads on my nose now.  For this upcoming week I have a blood test on Tuesday.  My credit score is going up so that's good news.

Hey Regmo~ Despite your stressors of the household this week, it’s good you were able to get in a shave, get out to the library, work on your quotation journal, get in 3 walks, and that your credit score is going up ... Those are all great, healthy & positive situations for you…. Also If you put oil on even with long sleeves, it can still help with trapping in the moisture during those dry winter months. (As I do this myself in the winter months with creams)... But everyone is different... I think outside of the feelings you are feeling & experiencing regarding others in the household, that you had a lot of many good highlights in your week. Hopefully you will find that your up & coming bloodwork will be added to that list of positives. Keep us posted on how that goes. Thanks for checking in to share your week. And keep us updated on how things are going.

🍁Hey Everyone~ Happy weekend ahead~ How are you doing today?... How was your week?

Hey there. I'm just going to categorize it  and rate it from 1 (doing horrible) to 10(doing excellent).
Physical: 4 - I have chronic pain and chest/heart pain that's currently not being treated. It used to be but...I need to work and save money to handle that. In the meantime, I try to be cautious of my activity to not exacerbate the pain and I try to eat healthy.
Emotional: 3 - This...is difficult for me right now. I've been experiencing high stress due to things going on in life. I'm trying to make adjustments and eat healthier and focus on working on my certifications but...I feel emotionally drained most days and without a lot of help...Solo parent with a small child and no support...
Intellectual: 7 - Doing pretty decent with this. Despite everything going on, I'm working on projects that I'm interested in and care about. It is "intellectually-stimulating", I suppose. Not sure how else to word this category. I recently applied to work for a specific commentary channel for a writing project they're doing, and they message me and told me that my portfolio seems great! Just waiting to hear about the next steps. Writing/drawing is a hobby of mine, so I don't really care that this gig doesn't have any benefits (wasn't expecting it to).
Social: 0 - Oh man LOL. Uhm...No friend group, no support circle...This is on the backburner for now. I feel like I need to go to therapy first and work on myself before I'm ready. Nothing against friends, but I can't right now based on my situation.
Vocational: 6 - Above average in terms of career and work, I guess? I mean, I'm happy that I'm working now, but I might lose my job, because I don't have a babysitter for my nonverbal autistic son...he turned 5 not too long ago, so only preschool age...It's a long story but can't get help where I currently am until I move(temporarily living in a toxic environment with a relative who used to abuse me growing up). I work at a remote call center (temporarily). HOWEVER, I am working towards getting a UX Design certification AND real estate license (lol). I already finished ALL my real estate classes, the issue is it's OUT OF STATE to test, I have to save money to fly over there or...just wait until I move back to that state, take the school & state exam, and done! I'm trying for UX Design too, because it'll be based pay, while real estate is commission. I want to make sure I have stable income.
Financial: 1 - Most of my money has gone towards extending my real estate classes (till I can take the exam), UX Design certification, paying debt and...stupidly...I have been eating out lately...I used to cook and meal prep a LOT, but due to my chronic pain flaring up, it's difficult to stand for too long. I don't have a choice but to go back to work. I plan on just buying "TV Dinners" or microwaveable food. And if I DO want take-out, I'll limit it to the weekends for now on... I still have some more debt to pay. I project I move move out by Feb at the latest now...I'm waiting on the tax refund -- which will be used for the initial rent AND deposit...I hope I can work in both UX Design & Real Estate, while dropping the call center job..

The last week of this month I have an eye doctor appointment! I plan on just catching up on pay some debt and prepping to move out of here...it won't be at the end of this month, like I had hoped, but that's OK. I'll just go over my budget and try again.

I guess I'm thankful that I have a job right now which will allow me to provide for son and get us a place.

🌽JUST FOR FUN:.. YOU are hosting Thanksgiving Dinner this year.... "WHO" is "ONE" person (Past or Present), that you'd Love to invite to join you?!

Uhm... I don't celebrate. 😅 Is this holiday where people just eat dinner together? Uhm... in that case... I guess I would like to have a nice, big celebratory dinner with son and myself?

🍁What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?.... How were you able to work through your challenges?!

Struggles: Chronic pain, health, finances, debt, could lose job...
Highlights:
working towards UX Design certification & real estate license, paying off debt...

🍗What is something that "YOU" want to Talk about, Add or Share with us this week?... WE want to hear from YOU~

Uh...nothing else really for the moment? I'm just trying to change careers and have a stable income, really. I want to get my own place and transportation, it's simple, but that's the dream right now... I would also like to go back to therapy soon (when I can afford to). It would be VERY helpful, tbh...

@ImpudentIncognito

Its great for you that you have taken time to break down & categorize all the areas in your life that you feel need worked on, and that you would like to make some progress in. And it appears that you have a lot of good ideas & ways to make that happen & bring things together for yourself.

It’s good for you that you are trying to work on yourself little by little to get where you need & want to be for you (& your son)…. And Hopefully things will continue to go well with this current job you are in until “you” are ready to make a change & not because you feel you have fear that you may lose it.

It’s also wonderful that you are still working towards saving up, budgeting, and working on getting your debt down to help  move yourself & your son into a better situation (even if it’s taking a little longer than you’d like). But all you can do is keep striving to be where you desire to be. And that’s everything! So kuddos to you in not giving up on your dreams. 👍🏼👏🏼

Despite your struggles I applaud your efforts in continuing to keep pushing forward in your goals! …Great job to you there and keep up the good work you are doing. And hopefully in time, you can as well get the therapy that you feel you need to continue to help propel you forwards in healthy ways!

You really are doing a great job.. and we are here to continue to support you at Cups.

Thank you for checking in to update us and share this week! And please continue to let us know how you are doing & how things are continuing to come along for you.
