🌞 This past week went well.... I was able to stay completely on track with things and accomplished all the goals that I set for myself throughout the week. Meal-planning, hydration, sleep, and activity were all on point. And I was able to get back into the habit of taking my vitamins again.

🌴 I have taken a rather longer break from Instructing Fitness classes than I thought I would take. Right now it feels what has been best for me at the moment....and to continue to work on my own personal overall wellness journey. However, I have been contemplating more on getting back into teaching again by "Subbing" classes at the 2 different facilities that I attend. So I've been continuing to work on improving myself more, being mindful of how I personally feel, and also working towards getting back into the "instructing mode" again.

🍍 This past week the weather has continued to be really nice, (still a little humid), but the mornings have been mildly cooler. Making it a great time (after my fitness classes) to get out and about with the pup for morning walks. I've also found that the cooler morning breezes have put me in a GREAT mode and mindset to just sit and meditate...... Hopefully next week, I will get back to journaling as well.....No major plans for this weekend, other than to get in some good morning workouts to start the day, do some home improvement projects that need completed, and then get out and about and enjoy the beautiful weather. (And of course a Good movie)!

@PoliteOcean

Hi, Ocean,

Hey everyone~ How was your week? It was stressful. Monday I had a zoom meeting with people in Hawaii. Tuesday I had the interview for my dream job at the university. It's just been rough.

🌴 It seems like August just started, and now we are "almost" half-way through!....What are some things that you have been working on for yourself so far this month (personally, professionally, or otherwise)?! I have been attending professional meetings arranged by professional groups i've joined within my new profession. Then the fire in Hawaii. I've been trying to deal with it without being able to physically help them. I decided to donate money, which I did today.

🍍 In continuing with AUGUST "NATIONAL WELLNESS MONTH", What are some "Healthy" things that you did for yourself this past week to benefit your personal "Wellness"? Well, I attended a professional meeting in Hawaii with zoom. I also donated money to a good group in Maui, which helped me to feel like I'm helping. I also met with a career coach on Monday. We did a mock interview to help me prepare for my interview on Tuesday.

🌞 JUST FOR FUN: What are your weekend plans ahead?...What is something "fun" you can do for yourself? I'm relaxing. I've got the air con on because it's still about 89 F outside at midnight. My cat and I are enjoying the cool air. I've got candles lit.

🌴What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?...... How were you able to work through your challenges?! Please read my answers to above questions. Thanks.

Hey there Tree.... I was thinking of you this week wondering how things were continuing to go with the Job situations?!

Sorry to hear that its continued to be a stressful week for you.....I myself only heard about the Hawaii situation "today" actually,... as I tend to stay away from the news!.... But How crazy. I think its really great that you were able to help in some way and was able to also donate money as well. That is really awesome of you to do. Every little bit helps! And it also allows us to "feel good" within, in knowing that we were able to help, contribute & support others.

Thats great that you were able to meet up with a career coach. That can really be helpful.... As I still have some great knowledge today from years ago when I would use them myself. Preparation is key and certainly beneficial!

Relaxation is ALWAYS a good plan (weekends or not)! lol.... Its about the same temp here as well. So I get it. Candles are always so nice and can put us in a relaxing mood. I particularly like 'Fall and Holiday' candles. Do you have a favorite scent that helps to bring you peace and calm?

Hopefully you will find the week ahead with less stressors. And keep up the great work with finding ways (and making the time) to relax! Thank you for checking in this week, sharing, and letting us know how you've been. Please continue to keep us up to date on things.

🌞 Hey everyone~ How was your week? My week has been great

🌴 It seems like August just started, and now we are "almost" half-way through!....What are some things that you have been working on for yourself so far this month (personally, professionally, or otherwise)
Not really working on anything but trying to enjoy myself during this trip

🍍 In continuing with AUGUST "NATIONAL WELLNESS MONTH", What are some "Healthy" things that you did for yourself this past week to benefit your personal "Wellness"?
Despite being on vacation, we decided to continue to get in our workouts. We used the hotel gym while at our stops on the way here, and also using our "black card" to visit the gym here in town where my kids live. Its the first time in my life that I've ever "worked out" while on vacation. Also trying to be mindful of what I'm eating.

🌞 JUST FOR FUN: What are your weekend plans ahead?...
This weekend we continue "roadtrip 2023"..... I'm spending time with my kids and grandchildren....Today we visit the aquarium....
What is something "fun" you can do for yourself?
This weekend is about them....while I get overwhelmed sometimes doing a lot of "things" even with family, I am putting that aside to create memories for them and with them....

🌴What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?......

Highlights are the road trip and the memories being made.....struggles are working through my own issues, stepping out of comfort zones, to make the memories happen
How were you able to work through your challenges?! I have no real answer to this question, I just sort of find a way to make it happen and do it

🍍 What is something that "YOU" want to talk about, add or share with us this week?! ....WE want to hear from YOU!~

I really don't have anything else to add....

Hey there Cycling~ That is great that you have enjoyed your week. And trying to enjoy yourself as well as your trip.

I think that is AWESOME that you have set a goal for yourself and working on getting your workouts in while you are vacationing. Utilizing the Hotel gyms is an amazing way to stay on track. Afterall, you ARE in fact paying to stay there, and that is apart of the package! So get it done!! And keep up the great work you are doing and in being "Mindful"!

Hopefully you were able to enjoy your trip to the Aquarium. I imagine that not only did you enjoy time with your family while doing so, but that it was also another great way to get in "Walking, Steps, and Activity"!

I tend to also be the type that doesn't like alot of "action" at one time, or to be "overwhelmed" by too much at once... I think that is really great of you to put that aside, and your focus on your family. As well working on creating memories with them that can last a lifetime for all of you.

Despite the struggles of (stepping out of your comfort zones) over the past week, its great that you are working through them to create the memories that you desire to have.

Its sounds like all in all, you are getting what you had hoped to have within this trip that you are on. And it will be a very memorable experience for you and your family for years to come. And that is certainly what life & family should be about. Thank you for sharing your week and your experiences with us! And please continue to keep us up to date on how things (and your trip) are going for you.

Regmo August 12th, 2023

@PoliteOcean Here’s how the past week went. I read my theology book 7 times, and my art history book 6 times. I’ve been taking collagen peptides for about 7 weeks, and I don’t notice any weight loss. It’s not possible for me to go 6 hours without eating. If I exercise too much my back muscles get cramped and I have no way of uncramping them. Wednesday Ashawn did my laundry, so that’s a huge burden off my mind. Leslie got Dennis ready to go to his doctor’s appointment, and she was obnoxiously loud. Leslie brought over 48 rolls of toilet paper, so I’m happy about that. Thursday and Friday I went to the library to study my poetical interpretation, and then went for a walk in a local park. Ashawn really likes to violate those traffic laws. Friday Leslie’s grandchildren were making noise in the living room again. I put Argan oil on my feet twice because my feet were really dry. Saturday, Amanda didn’t feed me breakfast. I want to start doing actual poetical interpretation but it is so awkward to do that here. There is no printer, no copier, I don’t have a desk, and no 3 hole punch either.

@Regmo

Hey there Regmo~ Wow, thats alot of reading. I don't think I've ever Re-read "One" book let alone the same book 6-7 times. I'm not much for book-reading though. My mom likes to read ALOT. She can read one right after another, and finish like a whole entire Novel in one day. It would probably take me an entire year or more lol.... You say its impossible to go without eating for 6 hours... (Is this something you are trying to do, or been recommended to do by someone)? Just curious as this part wasn't clear to me. Thats great that you are trying to exercise. Our bodies need to move daily. In whatever ways we are able to do that. You don't have to over-do it nor push yourself. Simple walks, or stretching (Yoga etc..) are great ways to stay active without pushing too hard. And its good that you were able to get out and about to your local park to get a walk in. Thats nice that Ashawn did your laundry for you. Argan oil is also good for Hair. Baby Oil is also a "cheap" and effective way to help with dry feet. I use a few drops of baby oil, mixed with a little bit of Body or Foot "cream" (not "lotion" as its not as effective). But it seems to do the trick. Not sure who you can talk to about not getting fed properly, the only thing I can recommend again as I have in the past is talking to your social worker. However, I know that you are concerned about how speaking up could possibly cause other issues for you. So that is understandable too. Maybe if you brought it to her attention in a calm way such as "Hey Amanda, I'm feeling hungry, will you be making breakfast today"? ...(Something simple, yet effective)? As that is either a yes or no response on her part! Hopefully things there will change for you. Thanks for checking in this week and sharing with us, and continuing to keep us updated on how things are continuing to go for you.

@PoliteOcean I didn't read the same book 6 or 7 times cover to cover, what I meant is I read my theology book 7 days and my art history book 6 days. I'm trying to reduce my calories because I'm trying to lose weight. I've gained a lot of weight over the past year because I have inconsistent meal times because Leslie doesn't know how to take care of sick people, so I have to over eat because I never know when I'm going to get fed. I want to stay young and sexy forever. I used to have a reputation for being very thin, and so being overweight is awkward. I don't feel good about it.

@Regmo

I see what you are saying. Sorry I got that mixed up. (I guess for me though it still stands when it comes to reading)! Lol

But that’s good for you that you were able to find the time (and the space) to do what you enjoy doing. Especially when living with others can make that more challenging at times.

Yes being overweight or gaining weight can be a challenge & struggle. It can be difficult when you’re not used to carrying it & then all of a sudden you start to and feel the effects of it. It not only effects you “physically” but can also challenge your thinking & feelings mentally.

Again hopefully a solution/resolution with inconsistent meal times can be found.
