What are you doing to utilize your time during lockdown/ self-isolation?

ASilentObserver March 27th, 2020

I know it isn't an easy time for anyone and all feeling stressed and challenged. But to stay safe, this is only option available to all of us right now.

So, What are you doing to utilize your time during lockdown/ self-isolation?

Watching a lot of movies, tv shows and YouTube

Writing daily in my journal and working on new songs

Learning astronomy with my mom (we do it for fun:)

Playing cards, basketball, football, cricket, working out with my two brothers (on our rooftop)

Learning to rollerblade with my little sister

@Kadi21

I've been at home for weeks and weeks and the lockdown isn't going to be lifted anytime soon. I'm fine but my physical health is in crumbles, as I'm home all the time I've lost my appetite and that's made me so weak.

@Kadi21- sounds like you are alone where you live. It is a challenge to stay sane and healthy- I would eat one thing daily that gives me a smile. (MORE chocolate or ice cream) Take care and stay in touch.

@barncat

Oh I do miss ice cream :/. In my city trucks come and distribute the essential food, not the extra stuff. And yeah I've been seeing my family's faces for so long and no one else's, and at this point we're driving each other nuts.

Take care and stay safe!

@Kadi21- I ran out of ice cream yesterday too- may I ask if you live in the USA or ??- it helps me to relate during this world crisis. My life is very fortunate- live on an island in WA state- have horses that keep me busy- so I totally did not prepare except with enough grain/hay for my three horses. My heart goes out to you- most of the time I am alone here-

@barncat

nice that you are fortunate and keeping well! I live in Sri Lanka's capital, which is currently on lockdown. It's just me, myself and I always even though I have siblings at home, take care!

Made a timetable of how my day looks like the entire week, so I won't stray off so much from my studies and assignments. I've plotted in time for leisure reading, pilates and stuff as well so that I won't get to listless.

I mostly read though, to get my mind off things. It keeps me in the moment instead of letting my mind run amok and scare myself even more during this time 🤦🏻‍♀️

I live alone single so I have been masturbating

I have been doing the same as I was before this social isolation thing lol... Online classes, 7 Cups, preparing my master's application, capoeira at home and making art. Life didn't change for me much!

Soooo looking forward to when this is all over and I can enjoy outside again laugh

I have completed 3 specialization course which i had planned 7 months ago.

If the lockdown continues I might complete a complete doctorate.

Sorry you are feeling this way. I know the feeling. But that's why we are here to help eachother to climb out of that dark place

Trust me I get it. This whole situation has me feeling as if I am watch this happen like an out body experience, like I can't believe this is really happening

@fairmindedFan7485- just checking in on this thread- hoping your out of the body experience is settling into a nicer routine. Sooner or later we will excell in this challenge. . And yes it does feel like a bad dream every morning I wake up- we just have to shake ourselves up and jump into the brand new day. Take care.

I completed several online personal finance courses and rebalanced my annual and monthly budget.

I reach out to my three best friends on a daily basis just to check in and say hello.

I plan hikes I can take when the National Parks and forests are operational again.

I cook and bake new things that are healthy and nutritious.

I write in a daily journal and write a list of Good; it doesn't matter if these things are small or big.

I have been doing school, working on my book, and hanging out with my family.

wishfulWriting69 March 28th, 2020

I've been eating, sleeping, school work and avoiding everyone which is really easy.
