What are you doing to utilize your time during lockdown/ self-isolation?
I know it isn't an easy time for anyone and all feeling stressed and challenged. But to stay safe, this is only option available to all of us right now.
So, What are you doing to utilize your time during lockdown/ self-isolation?
I started a make myself buff program so that Ill just leave this whole situation super strong ๐๐ Its going pretty good so far!
@Leafdrop840
Hahahaha, pro!
Mostly? Video games. Same amount of chores, given that I live at my parent's house, so that, too. But not much has changed for me, really.
I live out in the country, so I've still been able to walk the dogs and get excersize outside. I might start to workout at home. I've been thinking of starting for a while, and when I have started I lose motivation. I need a schedule to stick to, or a workout buddy to motivate me. Anyone interested? ;)
Playing video games or watching movies or youtube is distracting, sometimes. Avoiding news actually makes me anxious, because I used to work in media, so I listen to the direct sources (like live press conferences) to get the bare facts without the hype. I've been using my Fitbit to keep me motivated and moving, and an app on my phone that helps me breathe deeply from the abdomen.
Making notes, studying, doing meditation, music practice, reading novels..healing. :)
I've just been watching movies and going to work.
@ASilentObserver
For me it's making new playlists on Spotify - browsing new genres, 'ages' of music, and finding old songs I haven't listened to in a while to add to certin playlists are helping to keep the boredom/anxiety away.
My love to all of you, and I hope we all get through this together - quarantine/lockdown seems to be a struggle for a lot of people, but having such a community here really helps!
I'm trying to keep on doung my assignments.

I'm in Italy and as many of you will already know, the situation here is pretty bad. I've been self-isolating for over a month at the time of this post (and by self-isolating I mean I literally didn't leave the home once). I consider myself pretty lucky because I have a good home and I live with my parents and my pets that help me through this difficult moment.
List of thing my family and I are using to pass the time:
-Things that we already like: watching a lot of movies and tv shows, reading a lot of books, listening to music, painting, drawing, writing
-Things we had to do for a very long time but we were always to busy to do: spring cleaning, repainting the walls, fix things around the house
-Take care of my mental and physical health: 7Cups, journaling, meditating, working out
-I tried to maintain a routine: I still wake up at the same time every day even if I don't need to, I "go" to online classes, I study in the afternoon and things like that
@BlackVoice37
Very productive. Glad you and your family have each other
@BlackVoice37- thank you for sharing you situation. So glad to hear you have family and pets with you. It helps to hear fromthe countries surviving through this universal challenge- 7 cups connects us. Just think how much you will appreciate being out of your apartment once life starts to return to a new normal. It makes me humble each day as I leave to care for my "pets"- three beloved horses. THeir job is on hold right now- teaching children about animal care and communication. BIg hugs and love to all of you in Italy from WA state.
