Group Support Updates- Part-II

ASilentObserver December 19th, 2019

Hello, 7Cuppers!

I am grateful for all the support, patience and cooperation you provided to each other & me! I noticed how you are supporting each other in the support rooms and community! Great teamwork! I am looking forward to keeping progressing together!

Today I am sharing some updates with you. I hope you all like it and find it helpful in strengthening our Group Support and community!

1. We are going to complete two weeks of the trial run of the "One Room, 24 Hours" idea. As discussed earlier, we sharing the feedback form for the same. Please fill and submit it. It will help us make the necessary changes we all think we need! Here is the feedback form!

2. We reviewing and processing applications for the Support Key badge! And, we need some help from you. I request you to submit your information correctly. Please ensure you met the requirements before submitting the application. It would help us to process the applications quicker!

3. We switched Support Team Leader Training as form-based to ease the process and save time on onboarding! Credit @Tazzie for coming up with this suggestion!

4. There is confusion if a pop-up room can be opened or not. As I mentioned in my earlier update, a room can be opened for the open chat or guided discussions! If you cannot find a doorkeeper to open/close the room, you can submit your request here!

5. Related to the previous point, we invite our dedicated room supporters for respective communities to host pop-up guided chats and have a supportive conversation with our valued members! All you need to do is get the room open and record pop-up guided chat info on this sheet!

If you could schedule the pop-up guided chat a week ahead, we will be able to share it with the community to keep them informed. In the initial phase of this trial, we can have a maximum of 5 pop- up guided chats in each support room and 2 pop-up guided chats per room supporter in a day!

Take this opportunity to host and chat with your community members. A request to the community members, please cooperate and support the hosts during the pop-up guided chat and appreciate their efforts. If we find any unsupportive behavior or disrespect, we may close the trial. Reminder- the room will be used for the pop-up chats only when it is pop-up and not opened for the day!

6. If you are a moderator in a specific community, you can open the pop-up room or join the 24 hours room to have supportive chats with our community members! Your efforts and contributions will be appreciated!

7. As the info requested by @AffyAvo, here is the list of the member support rooms we have at present! This list excludes the leaders' rooms and listeners' rooms! a153f55ca7da072b845cfd21583beacb.png

8. I will be meeting the community to chat every Sunday in the Obs' Desk at 2 pm ET for Adults & 3 pm ET for Teens! To all who wouldn't be able to make it, I will post a weekly check-in to the Group Support Community! So, if you didn't join it yet, please join to get the alert for the weekly check-in! The purpose of the chat and check-in is to stay connected closely and know each other!

9. Also, I will be hosting Group Support Leaders' Chat in the SubCom Leaders Room every Monday at 3 pm ET for the adults and 3.30 pm ET for the Teens!

10. I need your help, guidance, and support to build and improve the Group Support for everyone in the community! So, let's do some teamwork and inspire others!

Thank you, everyone! heart Have a good experience with 7Cups!

The Eating Disorder room needs to be modded (by professionals) while it is open. Unless its ok for members to chat about drinking alcohol and giving advice on what to alcoholic beverages to drink. Just sayin'....
