@ASilentObserver
Thanks so much for this <3 Things are so tough right now where I am as you know :/
Great points... will keep in mind.
@ASilentObserver
Also the drug remdesivir is also available for treatment. So, no need to worry.
thanks for such a nice comforting message admist all this
@OpenYourHeart12
Well there are still supply issues with drugs like this and other resources, but it will get better hopefully :)
@OpenYourHeart12 While having effective drugs are a positive, people still die and experience permanent effects. It's not like just getting a drug makes having COVID all ok.
@AffyAvo
I did not mean having COVID is all okay as we have the drug.
I have seen many people who committed suicide as soon as they knew they were infected with the virus. I was just trying to give ray of hope and a reason for them to live. Please do not take my statement as you can be negligent about the virus infection. Of course now, many of us are taking precautionary measres such as wearing a mask, cleaning hands regularly and so on. I just hope we all should fight together and emerge victorious by defeating the virus.
@OpenYourHeart12
Thank you for clarifying that and for sharing this important point <3 We all need some hope.
This was shared with me by @Gracey.
@LovingPeacefulHeart
@Gracey
Thank you!
@ASilentObserver Thanks for this clarification!
@ASilentObserver The COVID page (labelled as more resources in your post) could use updating, ie. it doesn't list the right chatrooms. Also, I had put together a list of forum posts across 7 cups, I think the Sutdent SC has more COVID related threads than the Anxiety and Depression SCs, which are listed as being 'related subcommunities'.
Thank you for posting this
I participated in a family Zoom chat tonight. 10 out of 12 family members had had at least one vaccination, and eight out of the 10 had already had their second vaccination. One had Covid in January and is not allowed to get a vaccination until next month or June, I don’t remember exactly when. One has not been vaccinated yet. But that’s not my point. My point is that some of those who have had a second vaccination were going on and on about getting on with life without masks. I was appalled that they could be so cavalier about their lives and the lives of others.
@ImANeurotic1965
Preach!!! I hear you. Have you heard of the Peltzman effect?
Thank you for sharing! It was very well put and interesting!
@ImANeurotic1965
No worries :) Gotta spread the right information :)
I’m sorry but I can’t stand to hear we are all in this together anymore because it’s not the same for everyone. It’s such a generalization. I know the intent is good but it bothers me
@Bellabug you might like the picture in the comments above shared by gracey. To me, "we're all in this together" doesn't mean "we're all going through the same thing", it means more like "we're all here to support each other as we go through our individual struggles with this related thing".
@Bellabug
I hear you <3 So sorry you've been feeling this way. You're definitely right: we're all going through something unique.
But I think the meaning of the words was meant like @sillyDuckling said. I hope you don't feel invalidated by this because your feelings are so valid!
@Bellabug i completely agree..its just not same.for.all
