Thank you to @Iara for always being so supportive, open-minded and compassionate in every interaction we've had. It's one of my biggest honours to call you a friend because I've never met someone as selfless and sweet as you! Oh, and this festival wouldn't have been possible without all your hard work. I adore you ❤

Thank you to @Jessica797 for always being endlessly wonderful out and about the forums; every time I see you, I automatically smile because man, how lucky are we to have you in this community!

Thank you to my best friend for always having my back and although we have the weirdest friendship, I wouldn't trade it for the world! You're one of the bravest people I've met and you mean so so much to me!

Thank you to the kind stranger who I met on the tube who started up a conversation with me on the Anne Of Green Gables book I was reading -- you made me smile and I found a friend in you for that short period of time. You made me remember that random acts of kindness still do exist :)

Thank you to my primary school teacher, who influenced me to be the person I am today -- you always encouraged me to go further and I wouldn't be where I am today if not for you.

Thank you to the 7Cups community for being my home, my family and holding my heart. I love each and every one of you ❤

Alright, I'm not going to name names but I totally need something like this because I don't thank people enough:

Thank you to the person who always listens to my rants while watching gross movies, I totally appreciate all the time we spend together and I'm never uncomfortable with you;

Thank you to my mentor on 7cups who taught me a lot, you're one of the few people I listen to without being stubborn and I admire you loads even though you're crazy;

Thank you to all the adult/teen listeners who chose to support us teens, it's so lovely to talk with someone older, dealing with adolescents can be tough but you still do it and it's amazing;

Thank you to my dad, who does his best to support me even if things at home are a mess and always cares about me no matter what I do;

Thank you to my friends, I have so many beautiful memories with you guys, you saw me through my best and my worst and you're still here, I love you;

Thank you to the person who's putting up with me these days, your support means the world and it always surprises me how someone can be so nice and caring;

Thank you to myself, for dealing with everything and still being here, always trying to carry on - I'm surrounded by loads of great people, but I'm one myself even if sometimes it's hard to remember.

I immensely thank Allah for everything. I am also grateful to my family; my friends; amazing people here on 7 Cups; my favorite bands and other awe-inspiring people whom I've learned a lot from (but never met); awe-inspiring acquaintances that I have met; and all other amazing people I want to mention here but am unable to due to maintenance of brevity; and also my adversaries, for shaping me into the person I am. Thank you to my second mother for practically raising me and making sure my needs are taken care of. I wouldn't be where I am now without you.

Thank you to 7 cups, and @GlenM I suppose, for making it. 7 cups gives me a purpose and lets me do what I really want to on a large-scale. I don't know where I'd be right now if it weren't for it. I'd have never wanted to get help even though I knew I needed to in order to give my own. I'm so thankful.

A letter to my brain

Dear brain,

this message may come to as a surprise for you, because we were in a hostile relations lately. However, I want to end our vicious conflict. It's become tedious and exhausting, after so many years of fighting, and it's better for us to cooperate. It will make our lives almost pain-free. So please, think of this this letter as a white flag, a securement of the truce between us, my friend.

I know that sometimes I am very harsh for you, but to be honest, you're not making it easy yourself. But let not dwell on our flaws (we both know it will take too much time to even come up with a first draft of such list). I want to focus on your good qualities. I like that you can come up with witty remarks and creative solutions. You remember quotes and images pretty well. You store good memories to comfort me in times of distress. And you prepare for me the nicest dreams I've ever dream. So you're not so bad after all.

This ends with a thank you to you, for always being there for me. So, my darling, let us live in peace. I think we both can learn to be more gentle and supportive of each other. I promise I will try to take the best care of you, with all my love. I know, that in the end, you are the one who matter. And you're worth the effort.

✏ thank you to my friend who helped me through my self harm by giving some much needed tough love, I learn more from you evry single day. Thank you for not treating me like a delicate flower and instead motivating me to be better and pushing me and my limits to make sure I recover. Gosh, where would I be without you? ❤

✏ thank you to the taxi cab driver who let my friend and I go when he realised we were $5 short of the bill and didn't have cash on us- you really made our day, and taxi drivers in Singapore are known for being cranky, but you were the exact opposite. Your act of kindness was simply brilliant. ❤

✏ thank you to my swimming coach for reminding me that those who push their limits find the limits pushing back. My passion for swimming and my drive to improve and never stop till I'm at the top has only gotten stronger with you as my coach. You've taugh me so much and been so extraordinarily patient with me. ❤

✏ Thank you to my boyfriend for staying through the depression, the self harm, and not running away when I came out as Bisexual. I'm not sure if our relationship will last forever, but I sure hope our friendship does. I know how scary it is to be with someone who is depressed, self harms and has problems. But you stayed, thank you so so so much. ❤

✏ to my childhood bullies that used to make my life miserable, I stand here thanking you for making me so much more stronger. You just showed me how strong I am. ❤

✏ to all the AMAZING listeners and members on 7cups- thank you for being your beautiful selves, not a day passes by where I'm not greatful to be a part of this amazing and wonderful community that is so full of love and kindness. ❤
