Celebrating Gratitude with 7 Cups This Thanksgiving

CheeryMango November 1st

As we approach the season of gratitude, 7 Cups is excited to announce our special Thanksgiving events, where we celebrate the positive impact our community has made this year. We invite everyone to share how 7 Cups has enriched their lives and what they’re thankful for.

We’d love to hear from you! Here are a few prompts to inspire your responses:

  1. What has 7 Cups taught you to appreciate?
  2. What’s one lesson you are celebrating this year?
  3. How are you thankful for 7 Cups?

Your thoughts could be featured in our upcoming press release about our Cupsgiving events! If we choose to use your response as a quote, our admins will reach out to you for permission.

Let’s spread the spirit of gratitude together!

1 thing that cups has taught me is that I'm breaking down limits that people have put on me and recognizing that I am capable of anything I want to accomplish 😊😊😊

Yay D, so proud of you, you are amazing person 🎉

@DanCat1128 That sounds great. Often people can try to project their own insecurities, negativities, fears onto us- wanting us to sink down to or be at the same negative level as them. It's important to rise above this negativity/ insecurity/ hate/ jealousies, to free ourselves and Always do what We want only.

What has 7 Cups taught you to appreciate?

Something that cups has taught me to appreciate are the flaws. Everyone has problems, big or small but that is what makes us who we are. Some take longer time to solve, some lesser but after every night there is a day and after every sad day is a happy ending.

What’s one lesson you are celebrating this year?

One lesson I want to celebrate is importance of self care. In this fast paced world, self care is really important. Health is important. Prioritizing it is important.

What are you thankful for 7 Cups?

I am thankful to cups to make me generous and empathetic. I have become more human (if that makes sense) being here. Cups is a whole new loving world to be in

1. What has 7 Cups taught you to appreciate?

7 Cups has taught me to appreciate the boundless capacity for kindness that other people possess. And that fortitude can be found in the resilience shown by others through their experiences.

2. What’s one lesson you are celebrating this year?

One lesson I am celebrating is truly listening rather than waiting for a moment to speak.

3. How are you thankful for 7 Cups?

How am I thankful? Beyond my capacity to articulate. Why am I thankful? For it simply being.

@BastionKnight

"For it simply being." ~ extremely relatable, also on the incapacity to truly articulate the gratefulness. Cups is beautiful, because of people like *you*. Thank you for being here and shining the kind light on people around!🌻

Thank you @CheeryMango ✨🙏🏽✨

  1. 7 Cups has taught me to appreciate every day more. To be grateful of my life and the blessings that I receive every day.
  2. One lesson is not to trust so much and so “blindly”. I am not really celebrating it but I am more aware now that people won’t act the way I do or be kind to me even if I am kind to them…
  3. I am truly grateful that 7 Cups have been here when I’ve needed it the most! That I have found wonderful Humans that listen/read me and give me support and that “are with me” when I feel the loneliest
3 replies

@ElenaDeMonaco

Incredibly heartbreaking when we let people in and trust them and they show us why we shouldn't have. Or how sometimes the actions aren't reciprocated. Speaks everything about them and nothing about the one trusting.

I loooveee that you've picked the absolute top tier thing to be grateful for, life and the everyday blessings; some days it can be hard to see these but I'm proud of you for choosing gratitude still. May you have many more grateful moments each day!🫶

  3. How are you thankful for 7 Cups?

1.  7 Cups taught me to appreciate the fact that I am not alone in my struggles and there are people on these forums that listen and care.

2.  One lesson I am celebrating and trying my best not to do is compare myself with others.  That is something I struggle with.

3.  I am thankful for personal reasons for 7 Cups I probably wouldn't be here had I not signed up.

Hey! I'm so glad 7 Cups has been helping you a lot so far in the time you've been here.

We're glad to have you with us ^^

Also, the point 2 of your post is so relatable, as I also struggle with trying not to compare myself to others. It's a process, and we get better as we go. Right?

Yay, always a good moment to reflect on lessons and gratitude!🥰

What has 7 Cups taught you to appreciate?

Uncountable and explainable amount of things.

I feel, being here, when I see and hear the struggle stories of other people, it makes me feel inspired of how strong people really are, and also reminds me to count my blessings.

Comparison is a thief of joy, they say and rightly so. Humans, I feel, are hardwired to compare only the good things, so and so people have so and so many things or are doing well in their life and then comparison sets in on how not-well we are doing in comparison to them but if we start to look for this perspective about the not-well things too, then it opens room for more acknowledgement of what we have and creates space for more gratitude in life.

A quote by Hellen Keller to sum this up- "I cried because I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet."🌞

What’s one lesson you are celebrating this year?

To not let my current thoughts dictate my entire life.🌞

How are you thankful for 7 Cups?

Superrrr thankful to 7 cups, the virtual platform that allows us the space to connect, the talented team behind the scenes working on making this look as it does, the wonderful admin and core leadership for going above and beyond in strengthening the community initiatives continually, the compassionate listeners who so willingly offer their time and company in reminding people how not-alone they are, and the ever so inspiring members for being so brave and reaching out for support; to everyone who's a part of the community in whatever ways, being a loud reminder of hope, humanity and kindness in the world!🌞

@CheeryMango

I’m so excited about the upcoming Thanksgiving events at 7 Cups! Here’s what I’d like to share:

What has 7 Cups taught you to appreciate?

7 Cups has taught me to appreciate the profound impact of connection and compassion. Being part of this community has shown me how sharing our stories and supporting one another can truly transform lives. It’s a reminder that we’re never alone, no matter how tough things get.

What’s one lesson you are celebrating this year?

This year, I’m celebrating the invaluable lesson of prioritizing self-care. I’ve come to realize how essential it is to take time for myself amidst life’s demands and challenges. Initially, I often pushed my own needs aside, thinking that staying busy would bring me fulfillment. However, I’ve learned that true fulfillment comes from being in tune with myself.

How are you thankful for 7 Cups?

Being a listener on 7 Cups has been a deeply rewarding experience. I’m grateful for the chance to connect with people from all walks of life, offering support during their toughest moments. I’ve also learned from wonderful listeners who share their insights and experiences, allowing me to grow alongside them.  It’s truly inspiring and fulfilling to be part of 7 cups community and knowing I can make a difference even in small ways, fills my heart with gratitude.

If there's some kind of positive difference being made, are the acts really so small? I don't think so. :P 🥰

You've been a terrific part of the community, and it's been a joy to see you spread around so much compassion and positivity around. Thank you for being here and for all you do, and yess please, self-tuning and self-care first always, your needs and wellbeing is important too!🫶
