Question for day 70/365: IF YOU WERE PRESENTED WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE IMMORTAL WOULD YOU TAKE IT?

Many people are fascinated with the idea of being immortal including myself once. It must be amazing to live this life forever. Have all the opportunity to see, do and experience everything and not worry about death.


But what if you get all of that. Imagine you have everything, travel evry corner of the world, have all the riches and power, got famous, people adore you for all your youthful beauty and still you have to live for eternity. What will you do next then? What will you do if already done everything. Im pretty sure its only a matter of time youll get bored, look for the meaning of life and wonder about death. Human beings are impossible to satisfy thats why maybe our life must eventually come to an end.


People like to think that immortality equates everything we ever hoped for and that immortality makes everything possible. But I grown to believe in the beautiful mystery of life. To experience all phases with complete uncertainty. Innocence, maturity, heartbreaks, achieving a goal, failing, getting up, taking responsibility, growing old and noticing the fine lines and little wrinkles on my skin and face. I remind myself to wake up everyday obligated to seize it for it might be my last.


One day, I would love to draw my last breath looking back at how my life I flew with time. Ready or not, I told myself not to be scared of death for just being here today and being able to experience the good and the worst times of life is already a gift.

Thank you. Its funny actually but I'm no better human than you. There are still days when I can just say all the unanswered whys of life. Like almost saying I don't want this and I never asked for this. I can be bitter sometimes.

But then again we are here aren't we? There's no point in backing up now. One day life's gonna end that's for sure so might as well do good and make the most of it.

Your thoughts really make sense. But as for me, I would take the immortal life, just to seek infinite knowledge and know everything about the fantastic universe.

If I was presented with the idea of being immortal, if have a few questions to answer first:




1 Is it like a Deadpool kind of immortality that I have to live with my own sicknesses and pain forever but I can't die?




2 Is the immortality that I'm stuck at a specific age for the rest of my life?




3 If 2, then will I get a new indentiy every 50 years or so. Cause I wouldn't be able work as the government would think I'm a certain age and not let me.




4If not 2, then I can age at will and that sounds more DITTO-ish then anything.




All in all though, I wouldn't. Life has more meaning when you have limited time to be here rather then all the time that time has.
