Happiness: A journey
Hello, Everyone! Hope you are doing great.
Welcome to the Day 5 of the "Happiness for all, Together" Event.
Happiness is a journey, not a destination. It implies that being happy momentarily isn’t the same as staying happy in the long run. We must admit that on this journey, the scale of happiness may vary from a smug smirk to a simple smile to a hearty laugh. Whatever the scale maybe. The important thing is to recognize all these moments and nurture them.
"The secret to happiness is freedom… And the secret to freedom is courage."
Everyone at some point in their lives experiences a certain set of fears. Fear eludes any rationale. Fear of losing happiness attained or not yet attained can be a significant cause of losing the same. Thus, it is important to understand that happiness and sadness are both a significant part of life. We cannot enjoy the former without experiencing the latter.
"Happiness is not a goal. It is a by-product of a well-lived life."
Question: What are some things around you that bring happiness?
Tag some people to share and celebrate your happiness with. 🌼
For me happiness is pursuing my dreams; spending time with my family, friends and my plants😊; trying my best to become a good human being; overcoming hurdles of life and never giving up.😊
Question: What are some things around you that bring happiness?
Candy, colorful pens, good music, a good cup of coffee, a nice day, my stuffed animals.
My siblings, my father, my aunts, my friends, my soft blanket, good tea, mate with yuyos, cooking, being outside, going places by myself, my ever increasing autonomy, seeing a stranger smile or be kind, kids laughing, old people’s storytelling, seeing people dressed in a unique way, my dog (although that’s bittersweet, because he’s sick and we can’t pay treatment), thinking about the days to come, singing off-tune, dancing wildly, hugs, having my name, pronouns, and boundaries respected, having some money of my own to fall back on, watching the stars, listening to the rían, feeling the wind on my face, seeing the waves beat against the shore, knowing we’ll make it ok.
Oh, and poetry. And music and tales in other languages. And cold water, and cereals! Brushing my hand through a loved one’s hair (platonically), feeling the words of an old book run through my mind like a caress. Hoping that maybe one day I’ll have a place to call home. Thinking maybe “home” is wherever my heart is Thinking “home” is maybe everywhere, a little bit of it everywhere I go. Tasting chocolate! The smell of wood. So many things...

Love this! Thank you for making the post. The following is a quote from 'Man's search for meaning a book by Viktor Frankl.I think it is very relevant and a good addition to your explanation.
‘"Don't aim at success—the more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue, and it only does so as the unintended side-effect of one's dedication to a cause greater than oneself or as the by-product of one's surrender to a person other than oneself. Happiness must happen, and the same holds for success: you have to let it happen by not caring about it. I want you to listen to what your conscience commands you to do and go on to carry it out to the best of your knowledge. Then you will live to see that in the long run—in the long run, I say! —success will follow you precisely because you had forgotten to think of it."
