Good news
Saturday May 25th is my 38th year anniversary of graduating from college. Someone be happy for me. 🙂
@Regmo
Oh wow 38th! :0
Thank you for sharing your happy news with us, Reg. Happy Graduation-versary.❤
Would you like to share more about your college experiences? The best learning moments, anything you'd like to revisit or experience again? Tips or reminders for those still in college or planning to enroll soon? :D
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou I was completely unprepared for dorm life. I knew people who were college graduates before I left and they did nothing to prepare me. It was a very difficult adjustment. No one in my family had ever gone to college. I was shocked by what slammed me in face. I was treading into uncharted territory. There's more to being successful to getting good grades. Try to participate in special projects that can be documented. Engage in self-care. Make sure you live a balanced life. Get enough sleep, eat well, have emotionally healthy relationships, get exercise.
@Regmo
It is indeed quite challenging when you're super new to something and aren't sure what to even consider about it. But this is also such a major win, how you were the first to attend college and gain this enriching experience, filled with hardships, trying to figure out life but mostly, an opportunity to explore more and make as much possible out of it.
I'm glad you got to do it, no matter how difficult it was for you then, you persevered and look at you now, almost 4 decades later, revisiting those momemts and sharing your experiences.
Thank you for sharing, such great tips!
@Regmo this is brilliant and such a moment where one would be very chuffed at all the hard work that has paid off - im excited about what is coming up for you next! stay blessed and trust the process - well done!
