Ive learned that members have a worng idea about the listeners. They believe the listeners are well trained staff when actually they arr just other members who did a quick test.. if they had it clearer they wouldnt have such high demands and such high expectations about the listener role here and maybe would look for therapist.. listeners have very little support when it comes to cyber bullying.. and the suggestion of making another account or changing their name is victim blaming and very unfair.. they also have their paths to walk and their goals and victories.. they shouldnt have to lose it because of some bad intentioned person. This makes me upset. The idea of the website is very good.. and i know greedy people are everywhere, and bad intentioned ones are all over too.. but it is sad to see so many great volunteers leaving Cups because they feel taken for granted and vulnerable.. ive met some amazing people here and this site wont function well without the volunteers .. so they should be considered with more love and alwayd treated with respect.. hugs .. @GlenM

The distress other people feel can be passed along. The distress I feel can be passed along. I am better able to recognize moments when either of these things are likely to occur when I have been regularly practicing myself and giving myself room to feel my own needs. As I move along to the next milestone, I hope to develop techniques that help me diffuse and utilize my own distress and also to NOT internalize the distress other people are feeling.
Most recently I've learned that 7cups is highly addictive, and that searching here mostly doesn't work.
