Community Spotlight - February & March 2021
Hello 7Cups Community Leaders & Discussion Leaders!! I hope you are all doing well.
First of all, it is heartwarming to see how everyone is so compassionate and resilient. I am grateful to each one of you for your contributions and for going above and beyond to support fellow members and listeners. You are all making a difference here.
Before we go further to recognize our wonderful leaders, I like to share a thought with you all.
We are like fingers of our hands. We are not equal in size, shape, and roles but without one finger, a hand can't function effectively. We are also incomplete without each other. We all have our own key strengths and when all our strengths are combined to achieve a goal, it comes out as one of the beautiful masterpieces created with the team efforts. So each one of you are similar to those different fingers, different yet unique in their role. And, I am so grateful that I got the opportunity to work with you all every day. It is incredible!
Also one thing more I like to add that there will be times when you feel overwhelmed, burned out, feeling doubtful, and questioning yourself. So, it is okay to evaluate yourself -- your needs, your priorities, and taking some steps to better take care of yourself, your fellow leaders, listeners, and members. We all are here for each other.
Each one of you has your own strengths, ideas, and creativity that you brought up with yourself and creating a great environment. Thank you for being here with us and I believe in you.

What makes you passionate about volunteering?
What makes me passionate about volunteering is that I am able to support someone and to be there as an listening ear for them! What also makes me passionate about volunteering is that I am able to gain more knowledge and to learn/experience new things that I may have never gotten the chance to! 💜

It has helped build my character, while helping others! What makes me passionate about volunteering - It makes me happy that I'm doing something to make someone else's life better in some way. And it gives me something to do, or I'd be a super bored and lazy kieran000 xD

What makes me passionate about volunteering is that hey even if my lil efforts can help someone's life even by a lil then why not?
That's AMAZING to hear how huge this community is, and how heartwarming it is to see so many volunteers! What makes me passionate about Volunteering? I guess I see the impact I have on other people's lives, and it just makes everyone feel good. People feel better after talking, and I feel better for helping them with it. it's the gift that keeps on giving 😁

I must say that your words resounded with me and deeply. This is truly how I feel as well. We all make up a community of 7 cups and each and every effort helps us to propel 7 cups forward and help others forward, together as a group. I've felt this way all along because I read Glen's forum post from so long ago. He phrased it as Path A or Path B but that he is grateful for each and every one of us and any and every contribution that each one of us decides to make, has the time to make.
I'm grateful for your words also, that you are choosing to show appreciation for people who are leaders in the community even if they just so happen to be a "pinky finger"on the hand (I thought your analogy was quite brillaint by the way). Some days small is mighty! Dynamite comes in small packages. I appreciate your leadership and your words because I don't think you have ever overlooked me from making this list. I appreciate the fact that you started this program of recognizing others that work hard no matter what role or roles that they hold around here. It makes me feel good that maybe you see more than any of us think you do, lol. 
And many times, the roles of volunteers requires them to do work, selflessly, unnoticed, the unsung heros. Once again to quote @Glen, he has referred to this as "true grit"!
I think sending out this forum post in and of itself is the mark of a great leader. I always have. You gotta' "catch them being good" and you make a big deal about it! Positive affirmations really do go a long way no matter who you are! You make a big deal about the good behaviors and then people are likely to repeat the behaviors that are desired. I think by you doing this is also good as maybe, by you doing this is helping to create a bit of listener retention. just my thoughts and *high fives*
What makes me feel passionate about volunteering is that I know I have something to offer. 7 cups gives me a platform to do so. I get to share of myself, time, treasures and talents and it's a great feeling for me to know that I helped someone else. Changing the world one chat at a time or one interaction at a time.

What makes me passionate about volunteering is knowing that my time is making a difference and making people feel even the tiniest bit better. It's really rewarding to volunteer and help others, truly has taught me a lot and continues to teach me, I am so happy to be a part of this community.

Congratulations to everyone! 🎉❤️ As for what makes me passionate for volunteering, a big drive behind it is that I never want anyone to feel as alone and invalid as I did. I love knowing that what I do makes a difference to someone :)

I'm passionate about volunteering because having the opportunity to make a difference in someone else's life, being able to make others happy, helping them to feel better about themselves, their feelings, their past, their present, their circumstances, that's what I live for. It's amazing to be able to touch peoples lives and help them out when they're struggling. And the community here on cups is incredible, so kind, caring, and supportive.
