What inspired you to create this program?

Learning and growing together! The spirit of learning inspired me.
I wanted to see people observing good qualities in one another
and cultivating some of those qualities in their own life.
I wanted to see an environment where people are
inspired by the goodness in one another.

The first appreciation posted in the peer appreciation thread was by @Mango3,
it was their appreciation for the whole idea of the program.
Lemme tell you something amazing.
Mango helped me name this program as 'peer appreciation program.
So Mango could be called cofounder of the appreciation program we have today!
After that, @bubblingBreeze14 helped me materialize the idea more.
With their expertise of google dashboard, we took off!

Now, The Peer Appreciation Program has evolved in such a positive way
 from the day it started, it is always filled with wonderful graphics made by PAT members.

I want to ask, how do you feel about all the work
 that our Smile Spreaders put in each appreciation?

Totally astonished by what it came it be, by the amount of passion and creativity
 that our smile spreaders have been putting into it.
Being very honest, I could have never imagined it'd be like this.
In fact, in my mind there were only plain appreciations.
It was Breeze who started representing the appreciations in graphic form
 and all the rest followed their example!

@AnnaSilverberg Woah Anna, and @Fristo I feel so happy after knowing how the PA program came to be! 😍 I love the idea behind the thread and the celebration of each other's kindness in such a wholesome and creative manner 🤗 This thread is filled with the tiny things that can make someone's day, make them realize that no matter how tough their struggles and situations are, they are valued, they are cherished! 💕 I remember how wonderful I had found an appreciation posted by Vic for Sunnie, that got me interested to apply for the slime spreadership. I often have fallen back in my rough times making use of the various art options😇, taking inspirations from other posters 😏 it gave me something helpful and useful to do. A healthy coping mechanism for my crafty inner child, if you may say so 😄 And understanding today about the huge initial contributions of Mango and Breeze, I feel very good and grateful to them for making my life a bit brighter 💛🌞. It's unbelievable how some of you guys have so much love 💕 and dedication to make such hearty, warm posts. Thank you Star Leaders, thank you everyone who has made the journey so easy and emotionally rewarding. I hope this initiative goes stronger and stronger as the years roll on! I can see that in the latest update 😁 regarding more creative ways to appreciate apart from graphics - voice messages, handwritten stuff. Me: Well today was my first day posting as a Smile Spreader, I posted two appreciation posts and it made me really happy I was able to help spread happiness and show people that others and I appreciate them! I was nervous but it was also very fun just being creative!

🌟What encouraged you to join to become a Smile Spreader
and how you find that this role has affected your life today 🌟

Me: I am Muslim, in my religion we believe that if we can be of service and help others and help make someone happy that is one of the greatest things to be joyful over and contribute to.

I wanted to become a Smile Spreader because I know how sometimes people just need to know they matter and are valued and needed! I am always happy to help and spread some love and encouragement! 

Today has made me reflect on things I am grateful for. I spent some time with my family and came to a lot of realizations after my first day!

I am glad to be on this journey, so thank you for having me!

My first appreciation...

first of all thanks to @grimsmark8💫 I had been chatting with him about some appreciations I had requested, and he sent a link to apply to be a smile spreader!

I, well, I am a fighter and an orator, but the kinda everyday kindness speaking others do this better. But I am good at digital art so love bringing the kind appreciations to life!!

My first appreciation was for @Fristo💫 and I really thought that was pretty daring, you know jump in the pool from the high dive!!

I messed up on the notification I remember and he was nice about it!

And then I accidentally wiped the spreadsheet, guess that was my initiation!

I am kinda with @Sunisshiningandsoareyou💫 here; I have held a number of positions, paid and volunteer.

now, to answer you questions:

1. I am grateful to be apart of this amazing smile spreading team. You all are so sweet and kind. You’ve been very accepting of me on the team and I feel so honored when my posts are appreciated and valued. It always makes me smile when I get a compliment on a post I’ve poured my heart into making pretty 🥰
2. The thing that has brought me the most joy this month was honestly coming back to cups and being able to join such amazing teams such as this one. I also love being able to help others and it’s been so rewarding to know I’m making a difference everyday.
3. some challenges I’ve overcome were being adopted and handling my trauma in a positive way. Each day I continue to work on myself and try to overcome what life decides / has decided to throw at me.

I absolutely adore this team, truly it never fails to make me smile. 💗

1.  This month I’m grateful for my new puppy!  She’s a knucklehead but I love her to pieces!  I’m also great full for my family, my friends, and my friends here at 7 cups!

2. My role as a Smile Spreader has brought me a great deal of joy!  I love making graphics and making my fellow listeners and members here smile!

3.  I am grateful that I am learning to adapt to my vision loss.  It’s been a long hard road over the past 6 months, but each day gets a little easier!

3. What challenges did you face that you're grateful for have overcome? searching for a job and loosing hope. After months of fails, i landed an interview on Wednesday.
