hey guys! hope you're doing amazing today
i just had a thought - even when everything in life is going wrong, there are certain things (eg. the smell of rain, having hot chocolate wrapped in a blanket on a cold day, etc) that provide you with this surreal feeling that everything is perfect and will work out - you know?
can we all contribute to this thread and just make a list of all these things that generate this feeling? i'm sure it'll remind us why life is beautiful when we come back to it on a day where we feel like living isn't worth it... thank you <3

@heretohelpyou1211 I hope you have an amazing day too. ♡ this is such a beautiful thing. To me, that would be the smell of old books, looking at beautiful sunsets & sunrises, coffee, the moon and the stars, and probably many more things that can make the day magical. (:

I agree! I get this feeling when im walking in the forest, or watch my comfort shows in bed.
@daydreammemories that's so beautiful! i can totally relate :) especially when i'm watching shows in bed while eating my fav meal or something!

I find that the beauty in chaos like flowers blooming after a huge rain season or even just the huge tornadoes coming down from the sky with flashes of crazy lightning. It is so tragic for some people, and I do feel very empathetic to them. However, they are still so very interesting to me. It makes life so surreal.

Thank you for this, so true that even in the depths of an episode or challenging event, I can look into a dogs or loved one’s face, at a sunset or reflection in a puddle or the wind blowing through the trees and have that sense you’re talking about that everything is actually ok. Similar to the grounding activity Look at Five things, visual focus like that can help me to be present and in the present get out of my mind and moods. Sometimes 🙏🏻😊 other times it is the weirdest thing but natural beauty can be triggering too. Thanks for listening it’s my first time sharing, I don’t do social or other stuff like this but am trying it out thru work health insurance hehe to see if I can build some better self care along w my newish supportive work environment

For me,
1. Receiving the warm sunshine on my face, when it encovers all my face and I feel loved and cared for!
2. The barefoot walk on the grass!
3. Vibing with low-fi or piano music making myself a coffee
4. Dancing wildly on buzzling beats!
5. Getting a hug from the people I love and care for!
6. Interacting with a long disconnected friend!
7. Surfing my photo gallery and relishing the good cheerful moments spent!
8. Doing Meditation is a zone of peace for me!
9. Playing chess ♟️ (Gosh! Haven't played for a long time now! Really want to find time to do it!)
10. Planning to write a forum post (haven't done this until now as I am a newbie but I'm really excited about it)
