Evois June 7th, 2016

What is the most difficult part of your disability?
For me its being slow when my brain sometimes either moves toooo fast or not fast enough and I have to take longer on stuff.

@BrightRedFlower2322. I am sorry you had to deal with a very ignorant person, I have similar issues, my hands are in constant pain and sometimes can't grip anything, so I have dropped many items while taking out of the fridge , and broken glasses. People who don't understand have made me stronger, I like you point out that that , judging just makes them look stupid, I used to get upset, but realized that didn't help, good for you that you stood up to his ignorance!

I have major depression and anxiety (mix of things, namely panic disorder and social phobia). I'm considered disabled by social security. The hardest part is having the stamina/motivation to do things. Also not having enough money to be independent :(

I have trusting issues since I am 5 years old, I don't believe in love and that it's a good thing, I blocked and faked all my emotions for so long that I can barely feel them anymore but when I do I loose control of my entire body and emotions, I have some sort of back problem where after a while my spinal cord will just block and it stops my breathing and I can't move, I can talk to dead people that I was very close to so I've been called a crazy sicko very often, I am in a high levelled class and people often just assume that i am fine and that everything is great but they are way off, i can hide my emotions from every single person I meet which I find great. I often get asked like how are you suicidal and depressed if you've got everything and i dont know why.

@turquoiseFan8960 hi! Do you mind if I ask you what screen reading app you use? I have glaucoma, so blindness is in my near future, and my mom is completely blind. We're always looking for recommendations on good things for blind folks to go online with.

@PurpleForest

Hello! I'm a Mac/iPad/iPhone user, so I use VoiceOver which is built in. For Windows I think there are several options. JAWS is what most people use, but NVDA is quickly gaining popularity as it's open source and free. Hope this helps.
