@vivelespatates I think you know how I feel about this :)
As long as the cats stay in their own area away from me, we're good!
Oh to keep this from being an inside joke - I have a severe allergy to cats.
Cats help me to be happy, have a responsibility, and to calm down when I get an attack. She senses when I get one she'll come and sit on me. She's kinda like a service dog but is a cat. :-)
I have 2.5 cats.We got one of them around eleven years ago, when she was a baby. A farmer nearby had several baby cats and he gave them away for free. I fell in love with her at first sight. This one is "my" cat. Always was, always will be. I'm the only one allowed to pet her. She sleeps in my bed at night and makes sure to wake me up when I have nighmares, purrs me to sleep and makes sure that I get up at time...which is nice, except for when you have holidays... No, seriously. She is an angel.
The second cat is four years old or so. We found her, after she was almost got killed by a dog. Well, she found us. She broke down in our garden, so we just took her in and she stayed with us. Now she is completely healthy, her scars are fully covered by red and grey fur and she is the goofiest cat you can imagine. At this very moment she is "hunting" her own tail.
Cat number 2.5 is a stray. He eats at our place and hides in our flat when it's really cold or when there is a storm outside. One of our neighbors left him here, after he moved away. Poor cat. But he is really nice, I like him.
cats havent helped me specifically but i love them. i love when theyre super friendly and will cuddle and play
I don't own cats at the moment, but as a child they helped me ALOT.
Everytime I was anxious - at the time anxiety wasn't spoken about- the cats would come to me without me calling them. They would purr , rub their cute faces against my ankles, even jump gently close to my shoulders.
I'm looking forward this or next year to get a cat again. I'll probably get my first cat next september when I'm moving close to my university. I'll be all alone in a small studium so why not :)
I have always wanted to adopt a cat from the Rescue since I was a young child. This July (2017) I got a kitty. This kitty has changed me for the better. I have had semester that was condensed classes and weeks workload. My kitty has been there for me. My body has been going through some changes same with my health. My cat has always been there for me, cuddled me and is alert and ready in case something happens. He has changed me and stabled me when I am stressed about school work.
@vivelespatates one of my cats always comes over to me and bumps me with her head if i'm crying or even if i speak too loud (which is annoying when i'm actually excited about something lol) and stays there until i feel better, and she does it with this attitude of "here mom, pet me, you know i'm the best medicine. pet me already, it will make you feel better"
Fu, my "mama" cat, is the gray one being snuggled by my orange boy, Fitz
