just a burden
my mom (talking about my brother's ex) says that people with depression anxiety etc shouldn't stay with other people because they tend to drain their energies and ruin partners and friends. she didn't realize how much she hurted me because I'm the one with depression I'm the one with anxiety and I'm the one who struggles with this kind of problems and now im so fucking scared that without even knowing it people around me have been feeling drained because of me all this time and maybe it's the reason because i have no friends. also she says that people like that are just bad because someone with real mental issues is aware of it and so proceed to see a therapist or something to feel better, while bad people just like to make others feeling as bad as them. i know it's not true because it's been so long that i wanted to see a therapist but I'm so scared of it and i cant make this fucking step but what if she's right I'm just a burden to everyone i don't deserve to love and to be loved
@WittyCar0607 Hey - I'm sorry but I don't think that's right. You're not a burden because of the depression or the anxiety. Everyone deserves love and to be loved. Even the worst of the worst. Hearing things like that doesn't help your thinking does it? It makes you feel worse both with the depression and the anxiety. I don't think everyone with mental health problems is fully aware - I mean - they may have an idea but might not be aware of the extent of it - or how deep it goes. Therapy could really help though - the depression might be because of an imbalance of chemicals in your brain - something that medicine could help - the anxiety could be because your stressed about being a burden - a therapist would be someone you can share things with and not worry about burdening them with it - because that's what they're there for :)
Be gentle with yourself and your thoughts

I am no one to tell you this:
"But God does not take away life; instead, he devises ways so that a banished person may not remain estranged from him."
2 Samuel 14:14 (NIV)
"He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had know, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. Your clothes did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty years. Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the Lord your God disciplines you.
Observe the commands of the Lord your God, walking in his ways and revering him."
Deuteronomy 8:3-6(NIV)
".. to humble and to test you so that in the end it might go well with you. You may say to yourself, "My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me." But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today."
Deuteronomy 8:16-18 (NIV)
"And now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord's commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?"
Deuteronomy 10:12,13 (NIV)
"...do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother. Rather be openhanded and freely lend him whatever he needs. Be careful not to harbor this wicked thought: "The seventh year, the year for canceling debts, is near," so that you do not show ill will toward your needy brother and give him nothing. He may then appeal to the Lord against you, and you will be found guilty of sin. Give generously to him and so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to."
Deuteronomy 15:7-10(NIV)
"For the Lord your God moves about in your camp to protect you and to deliver your enemies to you. Your camp must be holy, so that he will not see among you anything indecent and turn away from you."
Deuteronomy 23:14 (NIV)
"Because you did not serve the Lord your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity, therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies the Lord sends against you. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you."
Deuteronomy 28:47,48 (NIV)
In other words, serve the Lord joyfully in being joyfully diligent and responsible in responsabilities and obligations.
"Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob."
Deuteronomy 30:19,20
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."
Deuteronomy 30:6 (NIV)
"The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."
Deuteronomy 31:8 (NIV)
I say I am no one because it seems I barely started this walk. I somehow incorrectly stumbled upon it. I am in need of putting all the above into practice greatly. I myself loose faith every day. Of course it is because I have sinned greatly using a lot of persons for my aims, not being diligent and responsible all my life in any area of my life.
It has helped me to attend church. I went to church for 2 years or less not reading much of the word. Then the pandemic occurred and I continued on Zoom asking question and receiving good answers. Then I got kicked out. I was forced to read the word intensely by my brother. I continued on youtube. I found a good church I understood. I have been going for a bit. It has helped a lot.
For $150/month you can talk to a therapist on this website. Therapy is very beneficial.
It has helped me to read Depression: a guide for the newly diagnosed. They have a series of books of various mental health challenges. They are titled with the mental health challenge: then ' a guide for the newly diagnosed.' They have guidelines to help select a therapist and what to expect. One primary guideline is that it is the right fit, it feels right, that you rejoice and be able to say this person understands me. Sometimes it takes "shopping" around for one. It does not take long to know if it is the right fit. Usually 1 to 2 visits is enough. Or even just one sometimes.
I have also tried a lot of other things. I have gone to a Wellness Center which was very helpful. Unfortunately I got banned.
I attended a County Behavioral Health Clinic for ~3 years, received therapy, participated in group therapy, and their events like going to the County fair as a clinic. The psychoeducation I received was great for the most part. Unfortunately I got kicked out as well.
I have been hospitalized ~14 times, 12 in a year. The last hospitalization of the 12 was succesful. The group therapy was helpful to attend it consistently and everyday and participate in all activities.
I was forced on conservatorship and forced into an 18 month long term program. It was very helpful.
I sought help once returning home because I started slipping back into depression and found a great program called Recovery Innovations, Inc. And participated in their group therapy.
I have had to return to the long term program.
I took college courses consistently for self growth, personal development, and basic remedial skills, which has helped.
I made sure to request a therapist while taking college courses which I would use the maximum times of therapy visits allowed. Psychologist at school are not the same as private or public sector stand alone practices.
Currently I like to read books that can help me through these times like "Tiny Habits" "Dare to Discipline" Dobson, "Bondage Breaker". I have read many other books for mental health, self help some which I remember vaguely. Of course the bible is primary.
It helps me to do exercise, eat healthy, live within my means, not my parents, help with chores, and pray. It also helps me to volunteer. It gets me out of my head and makes my heart content to be part of positive movements.
Remember to "Honor your father and mother"----which is the first commandment with a promise--- "that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth." [A](Deut. 5:16; Exodus 20:12)
Ephesians 6:2,3
The bible and education help make sense of everything. Obedience is better than repenting, asking for forgiveness, making restitutions is costly. (1 Samuel 15:22,23; Numbers 5:5-7) I for one cannot afford them. Resititutions must be made for offenses to others. That is why the bible says do not take vengeance he who guards your life will repay. (Romans 12:17-21)(Deut. 32:35) In addition to if you see the ox of one who hates you fallen on the road help it so that feuding, quarreling may cease, covering a multitude of sins/preventing a multitude of sins. (Exodus 23:4,5)
He who is generous benefits oneself in addition to, of course, others. (Proverbs 11:17) It makes ones heart content. The bible says take heart for he has overcome the world.(John 16:33) It also says he is both a Loving God and a jealous God.(Exodus 20:4) He sends wrath to force to the right path, as consequence to sin, persecution/spreading of the gospel, and testing of faith.
Always pray for those who persecute you, bless those who curse you, return good for evil, answer kindly to slander, wait productively for the needs of the poor/lesser fortune in the Lord. (Matthew 5:44-48)
Pray for the prosperity of the city so it may go well for you. (Jeremiah 29:7) For governing authorities, for everyone, (1 Timothy 2:1-8) for a door for the message of the saints. (Colossians 4:3)
Always rejoice for his indescribable gifts! (2 Corinthians 9:15) His mercies compassion are new each morning ( )
Mental health challenges are created by lack of diligence/thoroughness in schoolwork, according to ones program. In other words, Mental health challenges are correlated with diligence in school. In other words perseverance/self-control/discipline. In addition to combining education with the bible.
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)
@WittyCar0607
*The college coursework was consistent but my work was not thorough enough.
*The therapy on this website is $150/month unlimited meeting with therapist, chats. Otherwise the listeners are good, too. As well as the community chat groups.
This website also has self-help guides. From them I learned to schedule activities in the day, throughout the week or at least one thing to look forward to, to get my mind off depression, anxiety, whatever it was that I was going through/am going through.
I also had a great dog who helped me out a lot. He forced me to take him for walks and would drag me.
As mentioned volunteering has helped me though when returning home I stopped. Which of course had a negative effect to remove/stop a healthy beneficial activity.
Joining in on city council meetings and being in communion with community has been helpful for me.
I also bus, walk, or bike everywhere. So I get a bit of excercise at least once a week most times. It is living within my means. I try do what I can afford. I once got in credit card debt that my parents bailed me out of. I have learned to live without credit cards since then and that it is never a good thing to covet, lust, desire, and try to do or be something one cannot, is not. I learned it is best to know my lowly humble position and make use and the best of what is mine, available to me, what I already have.
Libraries are a great resource. The Librarians are very helpful. If there is a book I need and it is not in their collection I can pay a $2.00 fee for an inter library loan through my city library. Through my county library I can request that they might possibly add it to their collection and an inter library loan as well.
I also briefly attended Al-anon meetings which for the little bit I attended it helped a lot.
I also called warmlines/friendship lines.
The nextdoor neighborhood app is a great resource for positive events, (volunteer groups, gardening groups, whatever positive hobbies there are, political groups, barter and trade groups, a lot of positive activities in the community, photo club groups, faith groups, positive motivation groups, etc)
I have always been looking around in the city to see everything available, coffe boards, bus stop advertising signs, school programs when in school, exploring the city to see what there is where I live has been helpful to know things that I might try, looking around wherever I am at to see what is available. "He is always devising ways for us to return to him." All school preaches his gospel, too, but I am careful to not believe everything instructors say it must be backed up by evidence and the bible. Reading the textbooks which I recently learned to do so makes an astronomical difference (an exponential factor difference.) Also the help I have received, has made all the difference, too. Getting the adequate help, helps.
I also learned it is good to develop good coping skills: cooking, gardening, exercise, hobbies, whatever is fun, healthy, beneficial within my means. Not maladaptive ones like drinking, drugs, binge watching, cursing, listening to "songs of fools," too much social media, masturbating and what ensues, etc.
Books, paper and pencil, education, psychoeducation/therapy, the bible, a good church are always friends. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood but what leads astray. (Ephesians 6:10-20 Col 2:8) "A good name is better than fine perfume." (the finest of things: my interpretation of it) (Eccl. 7:1 NIV)(Psalm 37:16)
@WittyCar0607
It has helped me to investigating what help is available, asking questions to a potential aid has been beneficial. That is how I found Recovery Innovations, Inc.
In my county calling 211 has provided me community resources. The libraries in my county have similar resourceful help.
It also has helped me to talk to others and surprisingly they have informed me of great resources. Praise the Lord. I was informed of bus passes to save money, dial a ride services, ADT card that I qualified for, for transportation, resources at school that I was unaware of: food pantries at school, educational assistance resources available, tutoring help, I was modeled how others defend their children with disabilities, and how they themselves make use of the help available to them, I was modeled by a lady how she is very diligent and responsible with her family and their well being, always attentive to them and everything in her school work, her husband, her house work, her children, her work. Informed of services for rides to medical appointments through health insurance, things that I have learned from instructors and their life experience, from class peers and their life experience, as well. The buses might have the wrong direction sometimes wrong route section sign. It is always good to verify.
I have learned it is always good to pray about everything. That manners take you a long ways. I most times read the fine print of everything, it saves a lot of trouble. Better business bureau is a good resource. Reporting scams, frauds is good, too. I ask others who would have an answer to my question, degree, qualification, title, experience, credentials, expertise. I have learned that having communication, getting back to others, returning calls is very beneficial and helps a lot. Something I fell off habit recently. I have always been aware that I am always watched, I am never alone. Confessing, admitting folly/sin is a must. Getting back to a specific other would have been great for my well being that I got stuck at since age ~12.
It however has not helped me to be unable to admit when I needed to cut my losses and move to a very beneficial resource because that was were others were that I wanted to not bump into, other than two known human beings, I would be in a foreign new place alone a foreigner with no one I knew, and I did not want to admit a mental health challenge because I did not believe I had one. Now a days, I suppose I do, or I just need a lot of help, or I am incredibly lazy, or I am very anal about something. One thing that I do have is being unaware of my folly/sin/transgression against others and not apologizing. Being aware of my folly and not knowing what to do about it as well. Being aware and freaking out and wanting to bury my head in the sand like an ostrich, too. Being aware and being scared. It has also not helped me being judgemental like mytwistedsoul said "everyone desreves love even the worst of the worse." It is mind blowing. It has also not helped me to not understand that the types of comments your mom made are not right to say. Which I have made. Which I understand now it is best to simply care. However in my case those pretending to be friendly and helpers are the same harming and oppressing taking advantage. Which makes it difficult to be non judgmental and kind to the worst of the worse. Though, I suppose that is why the bible says "forgive them for they know not what they are doing." "Forgive 70 times 7" "Forgive them or else your heavenly Father will not forgive you." Forgive, vengeance is his, he will repay/resolve things. Without forgiving I am constantly quarreling and sinning deserving discipline. Forgiving puts a stop and ability for he who can rightly judge to resolve the matter perfectly. Psalm 4 has helped me.

Breaking Covenant by Withholding Tithes
6 “I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed. 7 Ever since the time of your ancestors you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord Almighty. “But you ask, ‘How are we to return?’ 8 “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me. “But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’ “In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty. 12 “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the Lord Almighty. Israel Speaks Arrogantly Against God 13 “You have spoken arrogantly against me,” says the Lord. “Yet you ask, ‘What have we said against you?’ 14 “You have said, ‘It is futile to serve God. What do we gain by carrying out his requirements and going about like mourners before the Lord Almighty? 15 But now we call the arrogant blessed. Certainly evildoers prosper, and even when they put God to the test, they get away with it.’” The Faithful Remnant 16 Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name. 17 “On the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty, “they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as a father has compassion and spares his son who serves him. 18 And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.

Isaiah 58
New International Version
True Fasting
58 “Shout it aloud,(A) do not hold back.
Raise your voice like a trumpet.(B)
Declare to my people their rebellion(C)
and to the descendants of Jacob their sins.(D)
2 For day after day they seek(E) me out;
they seem eager to know my ways,
as if they were a nation that does what is right
and has not forsaken(F) the commands of its God.
They ask me for just decisions
and seem eager for God to come near(G) them.
3 ‘Why have we fasted,’(H) they say,
‘and you have not seen it?
Why have we humbled(I) ourselves,
and you have not noticed?’(J)
“Yet on the day of your fasting, you do as you please(K)
and exploit all your workers.
4 Your fasting ends in quarreling and strife,(L)
and in striking each other with wicked fists.
You cannot fast as you do today
and expect your voice to be heard(M) on high.
5 Is this the kind of fast(N) I have chosen,
only a day for people to humble(O) themselves?
Is it only for bowing one’s head like a reed(P)
and for lying in sackcloth and ashes?(Q)
Is that what you call a fast,
a day acceptable to the Lord?
6 “Is not this the kind of fasting(R) I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice(S)
and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed(T) free
and break every yoke?(U)
7 Is it not to share your food with the hungry(V)
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter(W)—
when you see the naked, to clothe(X) them,
and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?(Y)
8 Then your light will break forth like the dawn,(Z)
and your healing(AA) will quickly appear;
then your righteousness[a](AB) will go before you,
and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.(AC)
9 Then you will call,(AD) and the Lord will answer;(AE)
you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.
“If you do away with the yoke of oppression,
with the pointing finger(AF) and malicious talk,(AG)
10 and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,(AH)
then your light(AI) will rise in the darkness,
and your night will become like the noonday.(AJ)
11 The Lord will guide(AK) you always;
he will satisfy your needs(AL) in a sun-scorched land(AM)
and will strengthen(AN) your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,(AO)
like a spring(AP) whose waters never fail.
12 Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins(AQ)
and will raise up the age-old foundations;(AR)
you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls,(AS)
Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.
13 “If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath(AT)
and from doing as you please on my holy day,
if you call the Sabbath a delight(AU)
and the Lord’s holy day honorable,
and if you honor it by not going your own way
and not doing as you please or speaking idle words,(AV)
14 then you will find your joy(AW) in the Lord,
and I will cause you to ride in triumph on the heights(AX) of the land
and to feast on the inheritance(AY) of your father Jacob.”
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.(AZ)
Everyone deserves to love and be loved. Including you!!! Seek ways to fulfill others...like helping the elderly... mowing someone's lawn... serving others is always a blessing. You may find love in the process.

Yes. Thank you. Much simpler.

Philippians 2:3,4 New Living Translation
Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.
New International Version
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
James 1:4-8 NIV
4Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.6But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
James 1:22 NIV
22Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
****Make up mind to serve the Lord or not to remove double mindedness.***
1 Kings 18:21 NIV
21Elijah went before the people and said, “How long will you waver between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him.”
***To serve the Lord is to repent from sin. Sin is not good. But that is not necessarily the problem since we are all born sinners from sinful parents into sin. Whether we repent that is the point. For that very reason we are not to judge anyone. At whatever point we judge a neighbor/brother/sister we have done the same and are condemning ourselves. Education asking all questions is a decree from the Lord, too. Praying for everyone is necessary. ****
2 Peter 1:5-11 NIV
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge[education, my interpretation]; 6and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. 8For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins. 10Therefore, my brothers and sisters, a make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, 11and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Micah 6:8 New International Version
8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly(A) and to love mercy and to walk humbly[a](B) with your God.
Jeremiah 29:7 NIV
7Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”
Jeremiah 9:23,24 NIV
23This is what the Lord says: “Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, 24but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord.
Jeremiah 22:16 NIV
16He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well. Is that not what it means to know me?” declares the Lord.
****He opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble.*****
*****Activities are a must. Job, education. In the evening let not your hands be idle for you do not know which will succceed or if both will do equally well. Being active dawn to dusk makes a happy human. Let all things go. Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life working with your hands. Minding your business. Of course thinking how to help others which is the point of education/ degrees/titles/jobs/profession/ giving back to community/ parents etc. However as stated understanding, getting to know, not judging. Pray always. **** all information commands, decrees, statues, ordinances, precepts, proverbs, sayings of the wise that can be found in the bible/the word.**** ****volunteering, thinking of others gets us out of our head and seemingly very narrow constrained difficult situation, expands the horizon to see the difficulty from different perspective to have stability and healing, to know we are not the only ones. There is no ill know to humanity that is not common. Being generous by volunteering and thinking of others also cleans things for us and helps us understand the greater picture. It gets us out of the narrow focus we are in. And helps those in need, ourselves, the organizations that need volunteers. It is a win win. Fill ones life with positivity. Not with negativity but with prayer a d thanksgiving and of course life activities and the great command: love one another=forgive one another, do good to everyone, make the most of every opportunity, be a responsible worker, ask for help when needed, help when needed, do good to all, etc. Is that not what it means to know The Lord. ******
I pray to The Author of Life a great day for you. Amen. Apologies for any bother I am, sincerely.

2 Timothy 2:20-24 English Standard Version
Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honorable use, some for dishonorable.
New Living Translation
If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.
New Living Translation
Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.
New Living Translation
Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights.
New Living Translation
A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people.
Colossians 3:8
New International Version
But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.
New Living Translation
But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language.
English Standard Version
But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth.
****Vocabulary which comes from thoughts, beliefs is powerful. Can either make or break you. Positive, optimism is great. Positive optimistic language is where it begins and also actions: volunteering, helping someone else out it can be a blessing like soar said. Recovery language is very beneficial. It takes humility bearing with difficult circumstances, events, others. Cover the offense with love to prevent a multitude of sins. Support is great. All these things that I must learn, too.
All moods have a reson. They are a call to some action. Like anger a call to act.
Feelings are choices we make. Feelings are things we have been trained educated to feel about events and circumstances, etc. So we can change them.
Thought- a series of words.
Mood- one word
Feelings- how we have been trained, educated to decide to feel.
Education: counseling: psychotherapy, getting the help we need = a must.
Do not take my word for any of these things. I am very much so in the same place as you. Lost as well. With carrying out the above being very difficult. It might be that you do not struggle with what I mentioned of forgiving. And the solution can be as simple as being kind to someone else like soar said.
I pray to The Lord he grant you a pleasant day. Amen.
@WittyCar0607
Do not take my word for any of what I mentioned. I apologize for not wording a lot of these pointers as things to try out. That is what they are. Not commands. Bible verses are commands if you chose to follow God of course. My words are not. I struggle a lot with "why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated? Giving my back to those that beat me, giving my check to those who pull my beard, turning my other cheeck when hit on a cheeck, not fearing their faces." I still must try and keep on praying, seeking, knocking, asking.
I pray to He who Guards your Life, who forms the clouds, brings about the rain, provides everyone and everything, the source of wisdom, understanding, strength, and power, who causes plants to grow, who has unsearchable riches, who never grows weary or tired, who strengthens the weak, and helps them who believe on him to soar on wings of eagles, that He grant you a very wonderful day. Amen. Amen. Amen.
