The One Thing I Do When I'm Depressed is...

What is the one thing you do to help yourself feel better when you're experiencing depression? It can be anything at all, even simple things such as a longer warmer shower and listening to music or sounds of nature before bed.

If I still feel like or have energy to do anything physical, exercise. Getting to actully start doing it is hard but once I'm on the move, it makes me feel much better. I would start doing exercise and play my faviourite playlist. And I would be on the move and be caught on the flow that I would forget about everything else. And I would feel much better afterwards too.

If I feel too sentimental and need venting, I would write diaries. I would say anything I want and vent everything out. Doesn't matter if it's on paper or document on the computer. After venting everything, what I've actually wrote wouldn't even matter at that point that I wouldn't even look at it anymore. And my mind would be clear and in peace.

If I just feel down, I would grab my favourite novels. I would read them where ever I want to with my favourite drink.

Or sometimes you just need some crying and by the time you are done, you would be too exhausted and spent that you'd just fall asleep.

Listen to music loudly, cry and feel the pain, run, and try and get out of my head for a while. I truly hate being stuck in my head.

distract myself with youtube, or if that's too boring I lay in bed and pet my cats.

I don't talk to none, I listen to my favourite music, play video games, doodle whatever comes to my mind, look at the sky, at the clouds, drink lots of water, and maybe take a bath.
