overthinking
I have such a problem with overthinking and I'm starting to push everyone away, my best friend of three years stopped talking to me because I still haven't changed and I'm tired of being this way. I'm tired of losing everyone in my life, I'm tired of drinking and smoking myself till I cant I just want a friend I wanna get better and I don't know how to and honestly I don't know if this is the thread for this but there's js so much and I cant even say it all.
@independentSailboat3979 I think humans are taught to believe that our thinking is the most advanced and wonderful thing. The narrative goes something like, “look at all we have achieved and how we are just so much more advanced than animals.” I believe thinking is a tool that has advantages but it shouldn’t be viewed with such high regard. Concepts from mindfulness meditation have formed my views on this. There is much wisdom to be found in non-discursive thinking, on body-focused meditation. If you look into this you may find a way to quiet your thinking mind somewhat. To avoid the habit of overthinking. It might be good to enlist the help of a therapist if trying it on your own doesn’t help or help quickly enough.

hello ❤️ this sounds really rough, I’m sorry you’re going through all of this. I think it’s great you’ve reached out for support. I would never blame you for your coping mechanisms, we do what we can to survive, but it shows real strength to see that you’re recognising that you want to change and improve. I am here for you if you want to talk more about how you’re feeling and what’s going on. Send me a message if you feel like it, you are more than welcome.
@independentSailboat3979 I'm so sorry you're going through this, I really struggle with overthinking too, and we all have our own coping mechanisms. I think it's amazing that you've picked up on what's causing these issues in your life, and hope you have the motivation to change them. Mindfulness resources have really helped me (after I stopped thinking mindfulness was ridiculous), and there's a lot of them out there. If you need someone to talk to about it and help you let your feelings out, I'm more than happy to chat to you one on one.

Hello
I am really sorry that you are going through that .
It sounds like you’re feeling really overwhelmed, and it’s understandable to want to change but not know where to start. Acknowledging that you want to get better is a significant first step🌷. It can also help to find healthier outlets for your feelings, like journaling or engaging in activities that you enjoy. Remember, you’re not alone we are all here for you 🙏 and taking small steps can lead to positive changes.
@independentSailboat3979It sounds like you’re going through a really difficult time, and it’s brave of you to reach out. Overthinking can be overwhelming, but it’s great that you want to change. Consider starting with small steps, like talking to someone you trust about how you feel. You don’t have to go through this alone; seeking support from a therapist or counselor can also make a big difference. You deserve to feel better and reconnect with your friends. I’m here to listen whenever you need to talk.
