Panic Attacks - Obs Room
I have had the unfortunate experience of being in a psychiatric ward, being tackled by security and put in the obs room. This is a locked room with a window smaller than your face, no toilet and one plastic mattress. I have had panic attacks before; but they have been increasingly more related to this experience when before I did not know why I was having them. Usually I go to my dog for comfort. However; he passed away the day after I was discharged. I have been constantly rearranging my room to find thke most comfort and the most "ROOM FOR ACTIVITIES". I feel like running - running from the panic attacks - until I collapse and fall asleep until the attack passes. To anyone that has been in a similar experience - I hear you.
@SCUBAwish

I'm also very sorry to hear about your dog's passing. It's definitely not a nice thing to lose a pet.. but it must have been a really difficult thing to face due to him being such a comfort to you.
Both the anxiety support community and I are here for you, whenever you need us!
I'm not sure if you have discovered these before, however, we have a few resource based threads on coping/dealing with panic attacks. I really do hope you give them a go and that they can give you some relief.
