"For me, building self-esteem was learning what self-esteem was in the first place. It was unlearning what I had learned about myself . I went back to self-school and learned all about me."

Hello Community!smileyI do hope each of you are as best as you can be. Today we are going to talk on Coping skills on Self Esteem Toolbox. Yep a toolbox as we all need that very special box filled with all the things that will help us with empowering our self esteem.

First what is self esteem? Self-esteem is how we value and perceive ourselves. It's based on our opinions and beliefs about ourselves, which can sometimes feel really difficult to change.

Self Esteem can affect many things like: value yourself as a person, able to make decisions and assert yourself, recognise your strengths and positives, feel able to try new or difficult things, show kindness towards yourself, move past mistakes without blaming yourself unfairly, take the time you need for yourself, believe you matter and, are good enough, believe you deserve happiness.sad

Self Esteem can affect so many important things in our lives. We need our Toolbox handy. What is this toolbox thing ? This can be a bag of things, a simple sheet of paper with positive things to coach yourself with, a favorite snack. This toolbox can hold anything you like to help you. It is something so handy that when you are feeling low- you can reach out to something soothing or some simple skills.

Discussion:

1. How do you desribe what Self-Esteem is?

2. What kinds of things do you have in your "toolbox" to help yourself?

3. Is there any positive affirmations that you tell yourself?

1. How do you desribe what Self-Esteem is?

My own original opinion separated from what I've learned or read about self-esteem is :

How I see myself , how I value myself , what position I am ; Am I the first , on top of the list as importance or am I at the bottom of the list ? How I find normal to be treated by others , how I considered I should be treated , what I consider that I deserve ( to be loved , cared , respected , to be happy ) , self acceptance, self love , self forgiveness ,self care , self appreciation, self reward for my own unique progress , growth ,self healing of my wounds . I would know my self/esteem is at the right place if also I would blame or not blame myself for my mistakes or things that I can't control .

2. What kinds of things do you have in your "toolbox" to help yourself?

i have my warrior shield 🛡, my weapon ,Ninja shuriken ( ninja ⭐️) and my armour ready for the battle .As I already know my opponents: The judger (me ) , The critics ( me ) , The Observer ( me) , The Analyzer ( me ) , The Worrior (me) and probably few more others that are not really so important.

As tools box the shield 🛡 represent the defend wall , the armour is self protection and the ninja star represents my weapon ( positive affirmations )

I keep in mind that "A Warrior's priority is to win without a fight "

I have also a song : I am light - India .Arie contains plenty of positive self affirmations .

3. Is there any positive affirmations that you tell yourself?

Every time I fall , I rise back ,bloom and shine

I am not my worries , I am not my fears

I am not my mistakes

My Shuriken ⭐️ Affirmations :

Solitude Awaken

Freedom Awareness

Wisdom ❤️Love ❤️ Surival

Intuition Strength

Serenity Purity
