Hello Community!smileyI do hope each of you are as best as you can be. Today we are going to talk on Coping skills on Self Esteem Toolbox. Yep a toolbox as we all need that very special box filled with all the things that will help us with empowering our self esteem.

First what is self esteem? Self-esteem is how we value and perceive ourselves. It's based on our opinions and beliefs about ourselves, which can sometimes feel really difficult to change.

Self Esteem can affect many things like: value yourself as a person, able to make decisions and assert yourself, recognise your strengths and positives, feel able to try new or difficult things, show kindness towards yourself, move past mistakes without blaming yourself unfairly, take the time you need for yourself, believe you matter and, are good enough, believe you deserve happiness.sad

Self Esteem can affect so many important things in our lives. We need our Toolbox handy. What is this toolbox thing ? This can be a bag of things, a simple sheet of paper with positive things to coach yourself with, a favorite snack. This toolbox can hold anything you like to help you. It is something so handy that when you are feeling low- you can reach out to something soothing or some simple skills.

1. How do you desribe what Self-Esteem is?

I think it's the view we get of ourselves when we take a step back to assess our worth.

2. What kinds of things do you have in your "toolbox" to help yourself?

It's helpful to remember that my view can be skewed by my emotions from moment to moment.

3. Is there any positive affirmations that you tell yourself?

I remind myself that the people around me love me and care about how I feel. I suppose I don't really have any very specific affirmations aside from "I'm doing good."

I think self-esteem is your perspective about yourself and how confident you are at carrying things out.The more confident and positive you are about yourself the higher your self-esteem is.

My tool box has self-care books and items which are related to my self-care activities such as yoga blocks for yoga practice,singing bowl for meditation/sound bath and paper cups so that I can relax and have a hot drink.

I don't really say a positive affirmation, instead I focus on what achievements I have done in the day and focus on a specific quote for example: a person's outer action reflects their inner mind.

It will hurt and make me wretched. I will face things I wish to avoid to look at, and want to run away, but i will face the good and move toward mending the relationship with people I care for. And the pain will become a memory too for its a price I want to pay.
