Thank you to everyone who signed up to join us in the answerathon!
The answerathon is now live for you to participate in - please make sure to read the entire post to ensure you have all of the necessary information before participating
Reminders:
You can find the needs reply queue here or go into the individual subcommunities and find the needs reply in the drop down option
Reply to as many posts as you can but make sure that these responses are supportive, meaningful, and effective - please read the post about effective responding here
The minimum number of posts for participation has been changed to 5 posts
Everyone who participated (responded to 5 posts) will receive 100 cheers as a thank you, and the 3 top contributors will get 500, 250, and 100 additional cheers
Important notes:
Please use this dashboard to link all of the posts you respond to as this is the only way for us to track participation - you can find your name and insert links every time you make a post
Please do not edit any one elses section on the dashboard and if you think you have made a mistake, please inform me so I can help
I understand some people may struggle with inserting links to the dashboard, so if this is the case, please either send myself (for adults) or @CheeryMango (for teens) a message and we will do our best to support you
I would like to take a moment to remind everyone that this event is not just about making the NR queue lower, it is about making sure that people feel heard, supported and listened to in the forums - please make sure that responses reflect that goal and are meaningul!

@bookworm274 Can you please let me know what to do if more than one person has replied to a poster at literally the exact same time. I am talking seconds apart. It just happened to me two times when replying to people. I do not know if I am supposed to count the link and document it since I know someone already did it and I did not know who gets credit for it. Literally, no joke, responses from me and another person and me and 2 other people were done seconds a part and the only thing that made it that way because of the length of the replies we wrote. Please let me know what to do in that case. Thanks.
Actually nevermind my question, lol. I notice since replies were seconds apart, once refreshed it will still show the same time posted but there is a person's reply that appears first. So that answers my question since that would be the one who responded first. :)

Hello, I wanted to bring to your attention a critical issue we are facing with the Needs Reply queue. It has become completely unusable due to a few significant problems that hinder our ability to effectively respond to everyone.
Firstly, deleted messages continue to appear in the queue, causing unnecessary clutter. It is crucial that deleted messages are removed entirely from the display to maintain a clear overview of pending replies.
Secondly, there is an inherent problem in navigating the queue. It is currently impossible to move down the queue, making it extremely challenging to address older or overlooked messages. This limitation severely hampers our ability to provide timely responses and leads to unanswered inquiries.

Hi, thank you for bringing this to my attention, we want the needs reply queue to be as accessible to use as it can. Unfortunately, I cannot fix any issues with the queue but I will tag @CheeryMango here to see if they can do anything or know who to contact to fix it.

The team is aware of the issue with deleted posts still appearing in the Needs Reply queue after they have already been removed. It is not a simple bug to remove and will take some time to fully resolve it.
In terms of navigating the queue, the queue is more easily accessible on the site than it is on the app. The older posts are shown at the top of the queue and the newer posts are at the bottom. When you scroll down to the bottom of the page, you have to click Show More to load the other posts.

Aww that's okay, the event may be over for now, but the Needs Reply Queue is always there to respond to, and you can do so, whenever you're available! 💛
The only thing missing/ different in replying to these without being part of the Answerathon event officially (now that the event is over) is the participation cheers that are awarded, I believe, which is only secondary, when we can earn gratitude and increased sense of purpose instead, by making more people feel heard, supported and *seen* in a prompt fashion hehe! 💛
I do hope you can be part of the future answerathon event(s) though, certainly more fun doing it with our lovely team-mates! 💛
