Congratulations to our new Teen Coordinator and Subcommunity Coordinator!
On January 20th, we announced @Hope will be transitioning into the role of Academy Community Manager. To allow her to focus on supporting this budding program, we decided to split up her areas and onboard one person for each role: Teen and Subcommunity.
We appreciate every single one of you who applied! After carefully reviewing all of the applications, the Community Team has selected our Teen and Subcommunity Coordinators!
Teen Coordinator… @Mimi!
@Mimi has been a listener since 2017. Throughout her time here, she has demonstrated skills in leadership, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. She has experience on and offsite working with adolescents, and having aged up only a few years ago herself, Mimi feels a special kinship with the teen side and will be working diligently on promoting a safer, inclusive, therapeutic environment for teens to interact and seek support. Mimi will be taking over for Hope, providing support and oversight to leaders and projects, tending to safety reports, and being a positive presence in the rooms. We look forward to seeing all the great things Mimi will accomplish in her role to scale up and care for the teen community!
Subcommunity Coordinator… @Tazzie!
Tazzie joined 7 Cups in 2016, and since being promoted to Ambassador in 2018, she has been the driving force behind our Subcommuninities growth. Her passion for her work has been recognized time and time again, and she has become well loved by our community. We are delighted to have her step into this role, where she will play an even bigger part in increasing engagement, spreading awareness, and evolving our Subcommunities.
They will be officially assuming their positions on February 1st! Please join me in congratulating them!

I just wanted to take this moment to deeply appreciate this profound opportunity and an honourable title that I have been granted. @Hope has been a magnificent, highly competent, and trusted leader - who has now passed on the torch forward, knowing that I will do my absolute best at keeping the flames lit.
I truly believe a strong beginning is needed when settling into a new role, and my strong start includes reading through all these genuinely warm messages of good wishes and congratulations!
I most look forward to courageously learning and forming effective action plans, combining this passionate drive with humility, and turning the conversation towards our valued teen members, listeners and leaders.

Wow! We have come a long way. I say “we” because since the time I clicked the “Become a Listener” button on September 10, 2016 at 5.59 pm ET. every person I came across. contributed to my personal and professional growth. Fast forward to 2018, I was given the opportunity to be an Ambassador for this lovely community. I enjoyed working closely with the admin team, subcommunity leaders and peers!
