Bio
Hi! My name is Rich and I'm 28. I'm ex-military and now a Physicist who has suffered from a diagnosed Anxiety Disorder/Hyphchondria for about 12 years, which prompted me to seek all sorts of professional help as it greatly affected my day to day life. I managed against all of my own expectations to find different approaches to overcome it and come back to a calm rested lifestyle. As someone who's been there (and I promise I have), I am always down to talk and discuss issues in a completely judgment-free environment.
Never doubt how powerful the human brain is. We might not see it as it's own entity, but it truly is. It will use something called the "parasympathetic system" to send signals to our body that are out of our conscious control, and those signals may sometimes be a little misguided triggering bad anxiety when it's not supposed to. Sometimes talking really does help, remember that it's completely normal both psychologically and medically for your brain to try to rationalize what it is used to!
