Bio
Hello, my name is Makena, and it is my deepest honor to walk beside you on your path to healing and self-discovery. I believe that healing is not about fixing what is broken but rather about rediscovering the wholeness that has always been within you. Together, we will explore the inner landscapes of your mind and heart, honoring every part of you with compassion and curiosity.
I bring both professional training and lived experience to my work, having journeyed through my own struggles with depression, anxiety, and the complexities of mood. These experiences have taught me that true healing happens when we allow ourselves to be seen—fully, without judgment. I believe that every moment, even the messy ones, holds an opportunity for growth and transformation.
As an almost-therapist completing my graduate training in social work, I approach healing as an art, a collaborative and creative process. My perspective is rooted in mindfulness and the understanding that each person carries unique stories and strengths. I believe that your pain, your joy, and everything in between are invitations to connect more deeply with yourself.
In our work together, I aim to create a space that feels safe and nurturing—a space where we can gently explore the protective and wounded parts of your inner world. I believe in the power of slowing down, of finding stillness amidst life’s chaos, and of allowing yourself to simply be. Healing is not a race, but a practice—a return to yourself, again and again.
It would be my privilege to support you in this process, helping you uncover your own strength, resilience, and the quiet wisdom that resides within. Whether you are seeking clarity, balance, or simply a place to rest and breathe, I am here for you, every step of the way.
