There is no specific way to "get rid" of depression, it doesn't just happen over night. You have to go and seek help, sometimes, but not all times, medication helps too, and do your own part to live a much better and happier life,
The best way to heal from depression is through both therapy and medication. Therapy can help you learn coping skills to regulate your emotions. Medication can alter your brain chemistry so that it is more balanced.
Depends, is it situational depression or a general theme in your life. If it's a general condition you can learn to cope with therapy... if it's situational , you have to address the situation...
By thinking positive! But that could be so challenging when you are down in the dumps. But if one think about how damaging depression is to his/her health. He/she will think twice about harming themselves. Often times if I am depressed I think about how time always move forward and I believe that things will change, And I find something to be positive about, Even if it's something really small. Hope this helps.
I'm not going to lie, depression is tough to beat. Everyone has their own treatment but many decide to go through therapy or take an antidepressant or even both

Getting outside for a few minutes, or even just opening a window can help sometimes when I'm feeling stuck.

I hate anti-depressant drugs (but that's just me) so I would advise you to simply... exercise. Start jogging! It will release endorphins in your system that will make you feel better about everything :)
Some people can get rid of depression by therapy, but others need medication as there is a chemical imbalance in their brain.
I don't know much about getting rid of depression, but there are lots of things that can help you cope with it. Even basic things like eating regularly, staying hydrated, making sure you get enough sleep and talking to people about it. Going to therapy can also be very helpful.
I wish there was one sure way to get ride of depression. Unfortunately there are different strokes for different folks. As well as varying degrees of depression severity. If you are feeling under the weather, a simple walk might cheer u up a bit. If you are suffering with severe crippling depression, one will have to try very different methods. Most depression should be treated by a professional. Whether that be a doctor, psychiatrist, psychologist or therapist. No matter the severity of depression, it is better/safer/easier to have someone help u along rather than try to tackle it on your own.

Try and look at old pictures and try and remember happy times and things that you did. It helped me.
Find things to keep you occupied, such as maybe a movie or a book you really enjoy. Maybe take a hot bath, or talk to people you are close to.

Talk about it with everyone you know. Share what's on your mind, and never assume anything your mind tells you to!
Depression is an odd subject, essentially it is alleviated and prevented with a number of approaches. Therapy the primary and in more serious cases medication (anti-depressants) as the name would suggest. Both work and a combination of the two are often the best mode of treatment, however if the depression is mild there is countless tricks on how to spice up life and get more enjoyment out of it and I'll also mention that a third of depression dissipates of its own accord.

There is no way to actually get rid of depression. Some people find talking to someone helps ease the depression, and others find medication works. Try to find what works best for you!

Exercise is a brilliant way to help deal with depressive moods. I combine two things I love, walking and being with my dog and I find that by focusing on what I love a state of depression is minimalised.
If you're really looking to get rid of depression, that's something you should talk to a professional about. In my opinion, there's no "cure" for depression. There's only learning how to cope with it. Find something to enjoy and even if you don't feel like it, do it every single day. Don't stop doing it just because you don't feel well. Just do whatever makes you happy, but make sure you do it every single day for an hour or so.

There is no way to "get rid of depression". There is only ways to help weaken its impact/affect. There is not technical right answer since the situation depends on multiple things. Just do you and hope for the best. Try me good things. Help others. I haven't found a way for me to free myself from depressing so I'm not sure. Just enjoy everything while it lasts :)
You can't get rid of depression in 1-2-3, you have to take your time and don't rush it... Also you can't do it by yourself, so its very important to have someone to talk to..
Don't let it control snap out and try to invest your time and energy on what matters to you the most but not just your thoughts

Immerse yourself in the things you love. If drawing is your favorite, draw to your heart's desire. Sometimes, doing the things we love helps to distract us and understand how we feel.

you can't get rid of depression in the blink of an eye. I have severe depression and I have had it since I was diagnosed at 13. I was given anti-depressants and I assure you that they work like wonders if you take them frequently to the right dosage.
In the long run, try to find the triggers and try to eliminate them or build up resistance against them (i.e. learn to perceive them differently). For that, you need to clear your mind.
On a daily basis (and this is where the fight goes down), force yourself to do things that used to make you happy. Talk to people that are close. Take a shower and do nothing else. Listen to music and do nothing else. Take the dog out and do nothing else. Start slowly and then try to increase the amount of positive things you do but don't get frustrated when there's a relapse. Then, at points, start thinking about your depression directly, trying to understand it in order to be able to better deal with it.
Most importantly, never stop fighting. And remember, if you need us, we got your back.

Get up and move. Do ANYTHING other than sit on a couch or - worse - in bed. Walk down the street. Go to the store to buy a simple thing you need like milk etc.
talk to people you trust not just anyone but most of all get rid of all they things that make you feel this way
You have to feel things. Feelings defy depression. Depression is when you are empty inside and things don't make sense or have a point. To feel emotions is to defeat depression.

Getting "rid" of depression is not the easiest thing to do. Most believe you can never fully get rid of it. I feel that your best options would be to seek professional help and let them guide you through the journey of dealing with depression.
