"Breaking Barriers: A Girl's Rap Dream"

I am just a young Pakistani girl with dreams that might seem too big for people around me. But to me, these dreams are my whole world. I’m 16 years old now, but I started rapping when I was just 10. At first, my parents were supportive, and there was no problem. But as I grew older, things changed. The people close to me, even my family, began to laugh at me. They didn’t understand. In our society, it's rare for girls to dream so big. We’re told to limit our ambitions, to stay within boundaries, to follow paths that are "acceptable."

But I refuse to let go of my dream. Every single day, I work on myself—pushing harder, improving my skills, and building my confidence. It’s not easy. There are days when I feel like giving up, but I remind myself that my dreams are worth the fight. I want to show the world, especially our society, that girls can dream big. That we have the strength and courage to not only dream but to make those dreams come true.

One day, I want to stand tall as a professional rapper, not just for me, but for every girl who has ever been told that her dreams are too big or that she should settle for less. I want to prove that girls like me, with the right passion and determination, can do anything. Please pray for me, that one day I will be able to show the world that nothing, not even society’s judgments, can stop a girl from achieving her dreams.

@Newton420 your story is very much similar to khushi's story - an Indian rapper. She won one of hustle's contest (very famous rap platform) and also she appeared in samay raina's India's got latent ( famous Indian you tube show which recently got popular here) and won around 1-2 lakhs for her rap. She also has a feature with another rapper and they both have made a rap called "victory anthem" which has 10-16 million views now on you tube. All I'm saying is you're just like khushi who also had a dream and is now flourishing in this market. Same with Srishti tawde who appeared on hustle and was a runner up, her raps are famous all over India. "Hustle" really has provided a lot of female rappers their voices, maybe you can apply to one day. I hope you all the very best for your future and don't ever dream/aim low 🤍

@Newton420 This is so inspirational.
I know it si difficult.
What you could do is look at millions other inspirational stories of people who wanted to achieve something, and how many obstacles they faced, especially from family members.
Remember family members will encourage you up to their own limits. Whatever "wise" words they give you comes only from their own limitations and fears.
If you want to be an eagle you have to start flying with eagles. And fi you don't have any eagle around you, then look at stories with them and train until you become one

When I was 10 years old I used to tell my family and relatives that I will go abroad for study and emy relatived used to say that girl are not allowed to go alone abroad. I was determined and now here I got scholarship from national univeristy of singapore ( 8th rank in world) . My father died 3 years before and he could see my success but I was determined and I proved myself. I am also from pakistan. If you are determined you can achieve anything. I belog to a lower middle class family . I did not have money to attempt IELTS or I could not afford a ticket but I worked hard and got admission fo phd in america, australia, singapore (under nobel laureate) . You can achieve anything just work hard and have faith.. best of luck
