Lost in Translation (2003) directed by Sofia Coppola
@LovingPeacefulHeart Thank you for sharing! I haven't had the chance to see it yet, but I’ve heard a lot of praise about Sofia Coppola’s direction. Is there a particular scene or aspect of the film that resonates with you the most?
@Mya000 One scene especially comes to my mind: A slightly bitter (and slightly alcoholic) middle-aged man and a beautiful young woman, left alone by her career-oriented husband. Both strangers in a foreign city. Lying on the bed at night, with their clothes on. No sex, kisses or even hugs. Waiting for the new day to come. Together and so connected. Just beautiful 😍

Turning Red (animation) by Domee Shi
@WeEarth Thanks for sharing! 😊 I haven’t had the chance to watch it yet, but it’s definitely on my list now. What did you find most compelling about the film?
@Mya000
I felt like it was a reality check on expectations. It reflected how a family is affected by its members' perspectives, assumptions, and the pressures they place on each other. It also reflects the need for understanding and communication with each other🤔

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
@daydreammemories That’s a great show! Do you find any particular moments in the show that resonate with you?
@daydreammemories. I really liked this show too!
@Mya000 I think Nora Ephron is well worth mentioning. She was a director and a screenwriter for two romantic movie classics: 'You've Got Mail" and "Sleepless in Seattle".
Despite the fact I am a heterosexual middle-aged man, I prefer decent romantic films to movies full of fast cars, shooting or physical violence. The former are much better for keeping up the optimistic attitude and wellbeing :-)
@jacek73. Those were good films!
