@Heather225 Hi! I joined a little over three days ago and I have to say I'm excited but also scared cause I've never done this before and I don't want to mess up my chats, but I'll do my best so I think it's going to be ok.

@amazingHoney8937 welcome to 7 Cups. It is wonderful that you have excitement but do not be afraid of doing something that needs to be corrected. That is how I learn by making mistakes and learning how to recognize the warning signs and by understanding how to avoid that in the future. A mentor can be a lot of help.

I've had long-standing depression since age 5 and anxiety since age 12. I'm now 56. I retired from my job on May 1, 2024. I incurred a lot of debt, starting in 2019, in order to keep my house. The main source of my stress is financial. I'm having difficulty focusing on how to spend my days while trying to catch up on 4 years of overdue income taxes. I find doing creative activities is calming for my brain. I find gentle exercise heIps me as well. I have a cat - he's my best buddy. My cat makes me smile and laugh every day. I could use help with how to settle my mind when I'm feeling indecisive.

Just found the app on my phone and decided to join and see where it takes me. I'm thinking of going back to therapy. Got a few things I want to resolve/take care.  Feels like I'm falling apart a bit or a lot. Who can say... Anyone else?
