it really speaks to me because i often worry if i'm going down the wrong path, somehow. i check with my own values and look at who i was, who i wanted to be, who i am, who i want to be. i match them together often to see if they fit. its a strange worry that i have.

Misery loves company. But she dont feel no better. Used to be pretty as a picture. Now shes ripped right through the center. Her comments are misleading. And her love is unforgiving. Those eyes that used to feed you. Say they no longer need you. I just wanted to know, if i stay will you go

this is from one of my favorite songs: misery loves company by gorgeous bully. It is true misery does love company but sometimes that doesn't help us feel better. Sometimes we need someone to stay there for us and never leave. At least that's what I take from it.

I have a lot of favourite songs and favourite lyrics. One song that I like the lyrics of is "Fake Love" by BTS. While this isn't necessarily my most favourite song of all time it did really make an impact on me in terms of it's meaning.

The whole song is talking about how people can hide parts of themselves when it comes to relationships. When you hide yourself for too long you might lose yourself which can lead to a "fake love" with another person because you are not being true to yourself. While this song can be interpreted to be about a romantic partner that is not why I connected to this song. For me, I find it relatable because I also tend to try and hide when I am hurt and to hide the worst parts of myself in all relationships. I always try to make sure I don't say anything that can upset people or cause any conflict. But because of this behaviour I feel like I am not letting people know who I really am. That's why I really related to the lyrics and meaning of this song.

Remember that things can change in an instant, so don't hold yourself back with a fixed mindset.

There's one line in 'Mixtape #2' by Stray Kids that helped me immensely:

"You've come so far, why give up now?"

I love this lyric because I was super worried about school and I was listening to this song and got to that part and realized that it had somehow never crossed my mind that despite having struggled for many years in school, I always managed to pull it together and do fine, so why should I worry now? So I love that lyric.

There are lyrics in 'My Pace' by Stray Kids and 'Grow Up' by Stray Kids that I really love too, but they're longer sections and I don't want to make my post too long. 'My Pace' talks about how you should stop comparing yourself to others and you should just go at your own pace, going slower than others doesn't mean you're doing worse. And 'Grow Up' tells you not to worry about mistakes, just take your time and try your best, you're doing good just by doing that.
