Some things that can help with trauma include journaling, writing, art, exercise, meditation, or other hobbies. Having someone that you can trust and confide in about what happened to you in the past can be incredibly healing and powerful. I have a very kind significant other who has been my rock and very supportive toward me; some say that you need to be healed before you get into a relationship, but sometimes, the relationship can be what's beautiful and healing.

I agree this wasn’t something I would say when I was still in a dangerous situation. I say it now when I get flashbacks. If you are in a dangerous situation I hope that you will be able to get to safety.
