Trauma Support Check In :) - June 4th to June 6th
Hello lovelies, Happy Friday
I would like to begin this wonderful day with a beautiful story.
Once, there was an older man, who was broke, living in a tiny house and owned a beat up car. He was living off of $99 social security checks. At 65 years of age, he decided things had to change. So he thought about what he had to offer. His friends raved about his chicken recipe. He decided that this was his best shot at making a change. He left Kentucky and traveled to different states to try to sell his recipe. He told restaurant owners that he had a mouthwatering chicken recipe. He offered the recipe to them for free, just asking for a small percentage on the items sold. Sounds like a good deal, right? Unfortunately, not to most of the restaurants. He heard NO over 1000 times. Even after all of those rejections, he didn’t give up. He believed his chicken recipe was something special. He got rejected 1009 times before he heard his first yes. With that one success Colonel Hartland Sanders changed the way Americans eat chicken. Kentucky Fried Chicken, popularly known as KFC, was born.
Never give up and always believe in yourself in spite of rejection. Let's end this beautiful week by reflecting on the happenings of the week
Please feel free to answer the questions listed in the check in :)

I can find positive out of negative. Have learned that some things are has they seem.

A friend opened up to me about a personal matter.
Did you face any challenging moments this week and if you did how did you handle it ?
Couple things, I can't share what, but I like to think I handle it in a mature way.
@MoonChildRaven I am sorry to hear that you’re week went tough, maybe it could be a sign of an awesome week ahead of you ☺️ I believe at the end of the day it’s all in the hands of how optimistically we handle the situation (looking for it’s silver lining ❤️). It’s great to hear you’ve mentioned your friend opening up to you on a personal matter, hope this will allow you to guys strengthen more and look after each other well. I love your spirit of looking at things the way they are and trying to identify a positive notion to it. You’re doing a great job ❤️ Take care of yourself and thank you so much for sharing ❤️❤️
@giggleZebra2708 Thanks for the lovely story. This week has felt more positive as I've found this wonderful support. Also the weather has been lovely which helps to lift my mood. I've learnt that there are lots of kind compassionate people and to try and embrace that. It's still difficult not to feel like a burden. Memorable was floating in the paddling pool chatting with my youngest boy. Had a tough time when the sexual violence support team tried to phone me without warning. I managed to hold it together and message to sort out a convenient time for me. It's a shame they don't read their notes more often. It's triggered some anxiety but I'm trying to stay positive. Thanks for listening Emma 💜
@Bluebrummie I am really happy for you and it’s amazing to hear that you’re week has been amazing and i thoroughly believe it’s all thanks to your efforts and optimism that helped you enjoy the week❤️ I really love a good weather (mine would be a calm breezy day) as this really does help me with lifting my moods and it’s great to hear that there is another person with similar interactions in regards to weather❤️❤️ Chatting with your loved ones creates a beautiful memory that can’t be replaced by anything in this world. I would like to say that I am proud of the way you handled the situation and trying to remain positive.Making small steps will allow for a greater success in the near future... You deserve only the best in the world Blue😊❤️ Take care of yourself and thank you so much for sharing ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for your kind words, they mean a lot. Yes the weather plays a big part in my emotional state so I have to enjoy the sunshine while it's here. My son is great and I'm trying to install positive memories for him aswell as me. I'm very lucky. Thanks I'm trying to keep positive and hope that the counselling will eventually help. Really appreciate your support. Best wishes Emma x
How did the week go for you ? Tramatic and stressful. I had a carpal tunnel test, I was told I am boardline diabetic, (They want me drop almost a point). . . and my brother who has heart issues was in the ER and I had to contact my dad's side of the family only get a guilt trip (about lack of communication) as I was trying to help my brother. My guy quit his job due to stress which was making him extremely ill.
What is something that you learnt this week ? I'm stronger than I ever knew.
Please do share with us, something memorable that happened this week ? I really can't say much, but ER push people out now.
Did you face any challenging moments this week and if you did how did you handle it ? Dealing with family, guilt trips, fighting my dark side (depression/ inner demons), trying to help my guy. . . I am just so tired

Dear Lily:
I have experience with DID as a listener in 1-to-1 chats and in the DID Forum.
I especially like to listen to plural-mind people, and help them with their issues.
You can reach me HERE to arrange for a 1-to-1 chat.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
All the best !

What is something you learnt this week?
I learnt the healing process is very hard and will take time.
Please do share something that happened this week?
Well i told my family about my healing process and my mom who had brain surgey a while back said i dont care about her beacuse im choosing to take care of myself and distant myself from her because of her toxic traits. she is in group chats with my siblings talking bad about me and she has written me off as her child.
Did you face any challenging moments this week and if you did how did you handle it?
It will be what i just stated and i didnt handle it well. i reverted to protecting myself and kept telling myself what i went through and what im going through truly dont matter. me being a grown woman with her own family im suppose to talk bad about my boyfriend to my mom everyday, im suppose to bring my daughter over everyday all day long, im suppose to let her dictate my life all while she has two of my siblings that live at her house not doing anything positive. just imagine you're trying to better yourself and your own mother feels that is wrong and being bullied by her everyday all day long. i ignore her messages but i mentally reply to them, it hurts me reading those messages. i can say i am trying to find techniques to handle my bad days.
@convivialTiger9327 Hello Tiger hope everything is alright with you. I am so proud of the reflection that you’ve done and I am pretty sure that you are to make great efforts towards it ❤️❤️ I am happy that you are working on and helping yourself, but I am so sorry to hear the reactions from your family that stems out of it. I sincerely hope for the situation to get better soon and remember your “enough” ❤️❤️ You are the most important person❤️❤️ I am really proud at the way you’ve handled all the situations so far by keeping calm and not getting anxious over it. I’ve personally dealt a similar situation to yours where people put us down and we feel “wrong”. Trust me Tiger you’re doing an amazing job by caring for yourself and your family and I hope the situation will get better soon. Love to hear that your finding techniques to help the situation and that’s a first positive step so congratulations for taking that bold step.! Take care and you deserve all the love and only the best❤️❤️ Thank you so much for sharing ❤️❤️
