Please please TRY hard to get tested
Hi everyone. You all really walked through hard things with me. Kept encouraging me to go and try. And then I couldn't do it .You encouraged me to go and try again. I still couldn't handle anything. I just cried. Well, I almost gave up! But then I had the special surgery. Where I was alseep the whole time while my doctor did everything all at one time! It was hard but also SO much better!!!
Well, my doctor just called me with the sugery results. And the cells they found are abnormal! She said it was SO good that I saw here and had the surgery. These abnormal cells will turn into cancer. I feel scared, but also thankful. Because my doctor said we can stop the cells. But if I had waited and let my fears stop me, one day I would have woken up real sick and they would have discovered full cancer. Please please please take the scary hard steps I did. It really could save your life!!!! It did mine!!!!
@KLM3278
I'm very very proud of you for going to the Doctor to get tested and then surgery!ππππ!! You did it!!
Thank you for sharing this!! πππ!!
@GuardianAngel77

@KLM3278
Welcome!! πππ!
I am so glad!
KLM, I'm not sure how much you want to share, and I do not mean to impose (I am only looking for information, I don't mean to upset you by reliving this. I would really like just yes/no answers), but could you please answer a couple of questions if you can?
I think I was confused when you mentioned surgery long ago. Did you need this surgery prior to when you started going to your doctor for a pap smear? What I mean is that was that surgery/going under anesthesia for something else and they decided to do the pap instead or in addition to something else? Did you have some prior condition/risk factor/suspicion?
You don't have to answer with your specific private medical stuff, but what other stuff could they do (like when you say that your doctor did everything at one time)?
@Torremp
It's ok at ask. Well, I just haven't ever had / been able to handle getitng a pap smear? Or whatever all that is called. It's SO hard and I just couldn't. So I tried and everyone here helped me to try. But I failed. I almost gave up but then tried a second time. But I still couldn't do anything but cry and say no and stop. It was awful. The doctor was very kind. She then said she wanted to do a surgery on me. I would be asleep and she would go in and do every test she could. That way it would just all be done at one time. I can't remember all the names. But it was I think: Pap smear, ultrasound, and Ultra scopeolgoy?? And DT??? where they take a sample of uterous lining. It was a lot. Yes, I was terrified - BUT i was a sleep and I didn't feel anything!! I recommend this to everyone who has had trama and can't handle seeing a gynecologist. It was worse in her office then being asleep. In her office I was triggered and it was horirble. Any way, the surgery is way better!!!! And because of it, they found the abnormal cells. This saved my life! I would have gotten uterous cancer. She said I was brave. I feel scared still but thankful. I hope you all can get this done to!!
@KLM3278
You are so very brave. To follow through and know that you needed to get the testing done and facing it despite your fears. I have testing I need done, but I can't do it. Please know how strong you are.
@KLM3278
Thank you for sharing this. I need to find the courage to do what you did, and this pushes me in that direction a little further. Im sorry to hear you didnt get an all clear, but as you say, you caught it in time and I thank God for that.
@KLM3278
Erggghhhh feeling super convicted to get one now. I found a site online where you can order one to do at home so I'm saving up but still dreading it
@KLM3278
Hi KLM,
Should I try to do this if they didn't find anything for the other tests? I don't know if I can though...
@humorousBeing8966
Well, I think if your doctor thinks you should it is a good idea. What other tests do you mean? β€οΈ I can promise you that going to sleep and having it all done was SOOOOO much better then trying to have it done. I just couldn't. I really want to encourage you to ask your doctor and then get the surgery β€οΈ
@KLM3278
I went after some urging just a few weeks after the first incidences but I really wasn't aware that what happened wasn't entirely right. The doctor was a male and I didn't know what was going on but explained just the effects and not what really happened then just did as told when he said to without knowing exactly what was going to happen so I was shaking the whole time and I just wasn't able to think and didn't realize i could have asked for a female doctor or something else and he got me tested for everything and I think the me now won't be able to go through the same thing again. I certainly couldn't the second time I went to get help but things haven't stopped so I don't know if I have to be in that position again to be completely sure that everything is fine. :( Will they explain everything they will do and make sure once it's done everything goes back to normal?
@humorousBeing8966
I'm sorry about everything you went through. Safe HUG β€οΈ To answer your question, based on my experience, yes. They were all very very very nice and explained slowly to me everything. Then basically they gave me some medicine and I was asleep. When I woke up it was all over.
Is this helpful? Did I answer your questions? β€οΈβ€οΈ
