Health Benefits of Nurturing Plants at Home

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well. I was thinking about how I often share with my clients that they must remember in order to grow they need the right conditions just like a plant, enough water, sun and nurturing. They also need to remember that every time they water their own plants in their home that they should be also tending to their own garden and checking-in with themselves on how they can care for themselves.

Did you know that having plants in your home comes with health benefits? Pretty cool, right?! :) You can learn more about them below.

Plants reduce stress and make you feel happier
Studies have shown that plants help you to feel happier, more grateful and healthier and it can even help if you have a space in your home to own a plant or even bring one to the office. Plants have been known to reduce stress, anxiety and fatigue.

Plants can make you feel better!
Certain plants have been found to help you cope with having allergies. Pretty remarkable! Plants can also help you feel better from common colds too.

Plants add a natural and beautiful aesthetic to any room

One of my favourite things about plants is that they can brighten up any room and make it feel more brighter and natural. It can add a nice touch to just about any room!

Plants purify the air you breathe in
As we know, plants help us breathe in healthier oxygen which is incredible! They help to purify the air and remove toxins.

If you are a big plant fan like me, please show us some pictures of your plants or if you do not have any yet, perhaps you can share with us your favourite plant?

@LisaMeighanMBPsS They're Toad lilies. They Enjoy the shade so they grow pretty nice here. They're really easy to grow too and don't require alot of care. Theres a Raspberry mousse one that's so pretty. You can order them online - here anyway. I bet Amazon probably carries them :)

Hello Lisa, thank you for your thread, plants and flowers add niceness to daily life 😊 💐

Those are my plants I have in my house in the mountains, can't plant them in the garden because I also have dogs so I keep them in vases: (1. petunias 2. I liked it but I don't remember the name 😅 3. and 4. hibiscus of different colors)

@MeaningfulSilence those are amazing. I guess the dogs would get into the flowers if planted outdoors. Those make great indoor plants.

Yes but i am planning on planting something, sooner or later, in a corner of the garden where they surely won't get there to play 😀

I did not know Lisa, I see that near the lake and mountain there are some people that let it grow in their garden, probably it's a plant that adapts well to different weather :)

@LisaMeighanMBPsS this is wonderful. Love seeing all these plants. I have many I like but vinka or periwinkle is a great ground cover with tiny purple flowers that bloom early in the spring.

Hi Lisa, due to the heat I hardly have real plants in the house but I always have various flower bouquets with a mixture of artificial and real plant leaves.

Here is a picture of my hibiscus, I just love to pass them, they give me so much joy

@LisaMeighanMBPsS

I have cats, so I'm limited as to what plants I can have inside. I currently have a money tree. I haven't had any luck with them in the past, but this one seems to be holding it's own, and as you can see, it's bloomed a $20 bill.

I did have a hanging basket plant in here once. I thought " it's high enough that the cats will leave it alone." I was wrong.
