What is Self-care?

"Necessary human regulatory function which is under individual control, deliberate and self-initiated. Self-care has been defined as the process of establishing behaviors to ensure holistic well-being of oneself, to promote health, and actively manage illness when it occurs. Absolutely. Something I tell myself lately that helps motivate me to care for myself is "What I do today, determines tomorrow"

It all holds weight.

@VioletteB82 that is a very good point. I try to avoid negative actions because no matter how I justify them they do not lead to something happy for me in my experience.

What are you doing to take care of your mental, physical, emotional and spiritual needs?

I have a daily routine which consists of volunteering here, brain games, especially memory tasks, exercise, supportive affirmations/gratitude and positive self-talk, meditation and listening to Buddhist teachings. I will also thank the universe every time something good happens, to me this is very important. It gives me the feeling that I get help from a higher power.

@CaringSub I feel more tired as we move toward the winter months.

I am going to try Palouse Yoga or Adriene's Complete beginner yoga to see If I get more energy
