Call for Testers: AI Bots Review for Mental Health Support
Hi everyone,
We’re looking for 10 listeners and 10 members to take part in an exciting project! You will have the opportunity to test and compare two AI bots - Wysa and Noni - over the course of two weeks. Your insights will help shape a review blog about mental health support with technology.
Requirements:
- Be ready to use both Wysa and Noni daily for 2 weeks (10 days, with weekends off).
- You must test the same topic or concern with both AI bots each time you use them to ensure consistency in the comparison.
- Comfortable documenting your experience, including taking screenshots of meaningful interactions.
- Able to provide daily feedback and an overall evaluation at the end of the testing journey.
- Willing to share honest opinions and suggestions based on your experience.
Further details will be shared with selected testers.
If you’re interested, please fill out the sign-up form here. We will select participants based on creating a balanced group with diverse perspectives.
@SoulfullyAButterfly
This sounds really interesting. Count me in!
@SoulfullyAButterfly
Really excited to see how it goes!
Any rewards for testers? What will this testing be used for?
@smilingchap
Gaining some new, maybe unique experience? Satisfying one's curiosity? Taking part in a futuristic, interesting project? Rewards? - I guess this is not what we are here for...
However, I can understand you would prefer the results of the test would not be used in any way commercially.
I'm uncertain how a bot can truly grasp the complexity of human emotions or offer meaningful advice. Individuals facing mental health challenges are particularly sensitive to their triggers, and any inappropriate interaction with a bot could exacerbate those triggers. This isn't an area for experimentation.
Still, I'm curious about how the interaction will unfold, so I decided to sign up. However, I worry that my application might get rejected because of my post.😂😂😂
@NotFound20 this post will not penalize your application! At 7 Cups, we have trained Noni to meet very high standards/boundaries and still believe it is only a feature and that all human + AI efforts are what should always be prioritized instead of only AI - our community is centered around human compassion and listening after all.
@NotFound20 Not all bots are the same. They are poorly-trained and single-task or wholistic, well-trained ones. Contacting the latter you may see as an eye-watering experience or they can make your hair standing on your neck - depends on your attitude towards AI 😉
@jacek73
I think the word "artificial" sums it up. Any kind of response from a bot has no kindness, compassion or understanding involved - it's simply an algorithm
If all you need is information then it is fine to use a bot
@SoulfullyAButterfly I would love to help I have been gone for a while. Speak with any of the leaders to see if I can help with the project please. I don't know what I have to do when I first come back after a long time it's been a while.
A good heart and a good nature are two different issues,
A good heart can win many relationships,
But a good nature can win many good hearts.
@SoulfullyAButterfly happy to help
Am in.
@SoulfullyAButterfly
Appreciate the invitation - across the platform. I'll pass, though. However, given AI surgence online, a good survey to present to 7 Cups members & Listeners. Good luck!
