Deleted Threads & Posts
Today a female member had created a Thread regarding concerns related to sexual assault. I as well as others had Posted supportive replies. Then Poof... the entire Thread vanished! Nothing about it was inappropriate or violated any Rules. I'm sure she didn't request it be taken down, as she had replied and said she appreciated the responses
I've seen other members complain there Posts disappeared in this Forum (no explanation given) Apparently highly inappropriate CENSORSHIP is taking place! Enforcing Rules in one thing- Deletions bcuz a Forum Mod doesn't agree with the 'content' is clearly WRONG

I searched by 'New Threads' and it was just put up today. It Definitely got Deleted !

Chrome, I'm not a forum Mentor but sometimes threads are moved to be put in a more appropriate area. I also think it's a good thing to inform a person who created a thread that it has been moved, but it's often endless work to inform everyone who posted to it.
I find this really frustrating.
People put time in effort into their posts, only to have them vanish.
It makes those of us who have the capability to edit the forums look bad.
When active, I'm often deleting at least 20 posts/topics a day that are spam. I wish those who were deleting useful posts would help out more with the spam instead!

I've sent you a PM but I wanted to post here as well. Yes, it is possible that it was inappropriately deleted. A few other things are possible as well. It could be that they posted too many times in too short of a time in the forums and they were caught in the spam filter. If that's the case, we can restore the threads once we remove the spam hold. It could also be that they changed their mind. The author of a thread always has the right to request that their post be removed. If the original post is removed per their request, the entire thread is deleted by default.
I would encourage you not to jump to conclusions. I (or other admin or forum mentors) can help figure out what happened. Talk to you in PMs soon :)

The author of the post reached out to me and I've asked our support team to track it down and restore the thread. I'm not sure if it was deleted inappropriately by a moderator or if it got caught in some form of filter, but we are going to get it back. When you see a thread get deleted, you can always feel free to reach out to me and I'll see if I can figure out what happened / get it back as needed. Thanks for raising this, @ChromeLotus

The Deleted Thread was restored, and is back up. It appears the Spam filter mistakenly took it down
