Taking Care of Each Other - Preventing Burnout at 7 Cups
Hi everyone! This is a forum post linked to the path 'Preventing Burnout at 7 Cups'
What have you done today/recently to prevent burnout in a fellow community user?
This can look like:
• Encouraging self-care
• Reminding someone of the importance of boundaries
• Covering for someone so they can take a self-care break
@Hope
I haven’t done this yet but today I will offer my support to anyone that express in the listener’s support room having difficulty with a member.
@Hope
Encouraging self care & understanding our boundaries is important
@Hope
I don't mind covering for someone who might be experiencing burnout ( work schedule & self-care dependenent) !
I told myself and my friend who was feeling very stressed about med entrance exams that they might need to evaluate their psychological needs again due to their symptoms of irritation, fatigue and lack of motivation.
@HopeI have discussed with a few members, regarding boundaries, such as the time, they expect you to give them and chat that is against the rules. such as sharing personal information and inapropriate chat
Hi hope
I have used the boundaries, with contact ,
details,
I tend to get them too slow down . And break it into sections
I also show them , why we have boundaries
@Hope
in a recent chat with a 7 Cups member, i encouraged the member to take breaks between studying to do things that they find relaxing and fun, to prevent burnout and stress-related issues.
@Hope
What have you done today/recently to prevent burnout in a fellow community user?
most recently, i had a chat with a member who was just coming off of a relationship break up and loss of work
i encouraged the member to remember that in time, this member will be able to overcome their stress and anxiety
i suggested to the member to practice good hygienics, exercise, reading, going outside for a walk now and again, keeping a journal, etc etc
