3 Key Things!

GlenM November 18th, 2019

Please post here 3 key things you have done to help move 7 Cups forward. I will be doing this on a daily basis. Feel free to do it daily, weekly, or monthly. Right now we've got thousands of people doing a lot of work on the site, but we don't have a clear way of being able to support one another. The goal of this thread is to help all of us see all the good work that is going on. Please ask any questions or share thoughts!

Good evening everyone heart
I dont know why I was awake for that time
But the calm of the night has a special pleasure for the soul
It's fun!
Watching the stars in the sky and talking to them silently
Inhale the purity of the air away from the pollution of the world
Resting the heart .. a push to continue
And it is soothing for sleep .

Ahh I bet that was nice! Where I live I can't see many stars :( I'm relying on watching documentaries on nature to keep time moving haha

I did a teen discussion on mindfulness and had a great turnout

I spent an afternoon in the Covid19 support room that is open all the time. It is heart warming to see people support each other.

I did some 1-1 chats where I just listened and did not try to solve their problems and they said I helped them. That is great to hear.

wonderful!
Good to hear, keep going @soulsings

@soulsings Sounds like a wonderful and satisfying time. I love that such an experienced leader as you is still taking 1-1 chats. They are very lucky members to have you as their listener!

I am surprised to say I think I maybe actually helped an 18 yr old kid, he said he felt much better after our talk.

Yesterday I did something. Bear in mind the hard patch I've been going through has literally brought me to a physical stop for more than a year(s). Couch - tv - plant - all good. I used to be a runner in my mid-20s which was a long time ago.

Well, after 2 days on this site I gave up the couch and walked / lightly RAN for 40 minutes in the evening under the starry skies! It felt good / didn't know I could do that still!.

@lovehummingbirdsCindy

Pure inspiration, reading your words makes me see the light at the end of the tunnel during this tough time and got me out of bed for the first time in 3 days. Thank you

3 things I did today:

1- I became a Listener on this site, and helped my first person. It was stressful at first, but I ended up feeling really good about it, and I'm proud of what we've done.

2- I went on a walk with a friend (2 meters away, because of social distancing).

3- I played a game that I used to love when I was a kid (it's called Pocket Frogs).
