3 Key Things!

GlenM November 18th, 2019

Please post here 3 key things you have done to help move 7 Cups forward. I will be doing this on a daily basis. Feel free to do it daily, weekly, or monthly. Right now we've got thousands of people doing a lot of work on the site, but we don't have a clear way of being able to support one another. The goal of this thread is to help all of us see all the good work that is going on. Please ask any questions or share thoughts!

@GlenM

3 things for the day

I took 3 of the peer pro trainings

I connected with my mentor

I went to the LSR not for a question, but just to learn

I did this to move 7 cups forward because I am the face of 7 cups. ( Good things in=Good things out for my members and fellow listeners). In addition, I'd like to express a bit of gratitude. I was in the LSR to learn and was surrounded by people with big badges and big jobs around here. Kind of easy to feel a little small when you're just a little newbie. I wondered what I would be when "I grow up around here". And I asked if I could at least be the room mascot until I figure it all out. I was accepted with loving arms. @Twitch98 stopped the room. They told me that what I am right now, is all I need to be. That I am great and that listeners are the foundation of everything around here. You know what? Thank you Twitch and you're right! I am a listener! If one day comes and I add something else on, I'll still always be a listener!

My Mantra-good things in, good things out, good things in, good things out, wash, rinse, repeat, good things in, good things out....

I started a thread in the diary section of the forum and entitled it "Walls and Bridges", hoping to open up discussions on the manner by which we share information and opinions. I'm seeing so much condescension and outrage in social media in this contentious political climate, I'm afraid that texting from a soapbox has become our norm in communicating. Need to talk, not just "post". Your thoughts [anyone!] would be gratefully received, thanks!
