Changes to our 2025 forum spotlights!

Since we launched our monthly forum spotlights, we have noticed an overall increase in engagement. Following our 2024 forum unwrapped, we also realised how wonderful it was to share our statistics with you. This is why we wanted to tweak our forum spotlights going forward so that all community users feel valued and appreciated. 

Please find below the new structure for our monthly spotlights and an explanation of what each part will consist of.

Thread discussion and events spotlight
Leaders and community users can continue to submit threads / discussions to showcase at the end of each month through this form. These will continue to be part of our monthly forum spotlight as it allows us to showcase the efforts of individual communities and leaders.

Engagement challenge
Our engagement challenge has helped ensure everyone gets a reply to their post. Find out more information about this challenge here. Going forward, we will be awarding the following prizes to the top three users who reply to the most needs reply posts (remember to submit your posts on this form):

🥇 300 cheers (listeners) or 300 growth points (members)
🥈 200 cheers (listeners) or 200 growth points (members)
🥉 100 cheers (listeners) or 100 growth points (members)

Top posters
Starting from our January 2025 spotlight, we will bring to you the top 3 posters for that month. This includes threads and posts made by those specific users. As a thank you, we'll reward the following: 

🥇 300 cheers (listeners) or 300 growth points (members)
🥈 200 cheers (listeners) or 200 growth points (members)
🥉 100 cheers (listeners) or 100 growth points (members)

Top upvoters
Upvotes allow others to feel welcomed and can give a boost in confidence. As a result of this, the top 3 upvoters (the people who give the most upvotes to others) will receive the following:

🥇 300 cheers (listeners) or 300 growth points (members)
🥈 200 cheers (listeners) or 200 growth points (members)
🥉 100 cheers (listeners) or 100 growth points (members)

Top communities
We will also post our top three communities with the most threads/posts for that month. This can be a great incentive for you to support your favourite community and aim to get on the leaderboard. Forum leaders, please do not hesitate to reach out to tommy if you'd like to know your statistics.

Forum Hero Awards
Each month, we will announce two recipients for each of our forum awards. Our Forum Guru and Community Contributor badges were announced back in 2023 and we're bringing them back with a bang! Recipients will receive not only the badge but also 300 cheers as a way of appreciating them for their efforts and impact they've had on the community.

• Forum Guru: This is awarded to our exceptional Forum Supporters, Community Mentors, and Community Mentor Leaders, who have undergone rigorous training and consistently demonstrate outstanding leadership in the 7Cups forum community. These dedicated individuals provide expert support and guidance, earning the respect and admiration of their fellow leaders and forum members. Their contributions help maintain the high standards and positive atmosphere of our forums.
• Community Contributor: This badge is dedicated to compassionate individuals who, without any official titles, consistently extend a helping hand to fellow members within the 7Cups community. These unsung heroes are always ready to respond to posts, offer support, and provide valuable insights. Their selfless contributions foster a sense of unity and kindness, making our community a warmer and more welcoming place for all.

Please submit your nominations (of others and not yourself) for January 2025 here (previous nominations will continuously be taken into account for upcoming awardees unless they have already received the badge).
