Hi, my name is Tom. I signed up a few weeks ago and began looking at the self-help. I have not done very much since. I have had therapists tell me in recent months that I need to stop isolating and reach out to others. While it is difficult, I hope to break out of my shell. I have had issues sleeping most of my life. A recent MRI and sleep study showed very minor issues that are not enough to have sleep deprivation. I meditate regularly, which can help, but it does not seem like enough. Hopefully becoming more social will help. I also hope my experiences will be able to help others.

It really is courageous to share the adversities you are going through.
Hello,
I joined just a few moments ago, I was hoping to find people to talk to and get some help for my anxiety
@mariannemwhite Hello! Welcome to 7cups. Hope you find this community helpful. There is an anxiety community you can join as well. Take care!
@Hope Welcome everyone! I am yudy and I am love listening!
Hello everyone, I'm looking for some friends.
Hey, I'm Becky
I joined a few weeks ago....but logged out and never came back until today. I'm always feeling very frustrated, tired, depressed and anxious. I turn 50 in 9 days and I feel like I haven't done anything with my life. I work and go home most of the time. I don't have any friends at all that I can hang out with, I spend about 99% of my time with my older sister and my parents. They all are very negative and suffer from mental health issues and I feel like that brings me down even more. I'm taking about 210 mg of different types of anti-depressant/anti-anxiety medications...which helps, but also makes me feel frustrated that I can't be happy without them.
Sometimes I wish I could just run away and start over.

Welcome to the site! I'm glad you found 7Cups. It sounds rough to be surrounded by so much negativity. Listeners are here for you.
@TinyCups thanks for the message. It is rough to be surrounded by so much negativity. It makes it harder when you can't escape it at work either. I think I need a refresh button...
I'll try and explore more on here and see what I can find/who I can connect with. Thanks again.
HI Guys!
